66 Hot Pot is a unique style hot pot place that I wish my hometown had. You order a half or whole pot roasted chicken in a sauce that can be as spicy (or not spicy, aka "baby spicy") as you like. The server will then add chicken or pork stock once you finish all the chicken, depending on your choice, and then it becomes your hot pot broth. Interesting concept and, IMO, a wonderful idea in creating hot pot broths.
Unlike many hot pot places I've been to, this place is not AYCE, so do be careful of what you order as you're charged per order. They have several kinds of beef which are all worth a try, but the most unique order was the black/white cuttlefish balls. THIS is what I imagine cuttlefish balls to be, for the fact it actually has cuttlefish taste.
I highly suggest you reserve beforehand, otherwise you're easily waiting an hour. The place is 2 levels, but isn't that big.
Service was poor. You will likely need to ask more than once for something at some time during your meal.
Will definitely recommend to my friends! read more
