Not even sure why we tried Cheesecake Factory but here we are. Matt's obviously familiar with it since he's from the US. I guess I just wanted to see what the hype was about. And I couldn't see it. Just basic, modern American food lacking creativity and technique. Pasta dish was ok I guess. Matt did applaud the consistency as the dish (chicken Madera) was almost identical to the one in the US. The crab cakes and fried zucchini were decent too. The little sampler egg/spring rolls were weird. Didn't like the spin on them. The cheesecake was just ok. I will say they do give you a ton of food just like in the US but I don't think we'll be back here. Hong Kong or the US. 《香港|尖沙咀|全港最多餐點選擇嘅美國餐廳》 . 希望大家可以比我一個LIKE . Got A Lot More Than Cheesecakes @ The Cheesecake Factory Hong Kong《食神大媽食西餐》 . ‍ 圖片展示美食: Dynamite Shrimp HKD 92 Steak Diane and Herb Crusted Salmon HKD 310 Oreo Dream Extreme Cheesecake HKD 82 Beets with Goat Cheese HKD 78 Miso Salmon with Snow Peas HKD 278 Crispy Chicken Costoletta HKD 198 Mango Key Lime Cheesecake HKD 80 Chocolate Milkshake HKD 78 .

I love the Cheesecake Factory and was glad they opened a branch in Hong Kong. Their portions are still the same as the US, huge portions for a reasonable price. I love their salads, especially the Chinese chicken salad. Tastes just like summer!!! Very refreshing.

The host lady was really rude. She told me it was around 50 mins wait for a table for just one person at lunch time. So I was waiting for a good 20 mins. And a couple walked up and got seats right away. I asked her why they got a seat after me, and she said they are seating at the bar. I said you didn't ask me whether i was willing to seat at the bar. And she gave me a cut eye but brought me to the seat. Food quality is about the same as us version, but more expensive. Around 20% more

Taffy Cheung just gave a bad name for The Cheesecake Factory Hong Kong. He repeatedly disturbed our table and even rudely served the bill a couple of bites from the warm dinner I intended to have. Unapologetic and unsympathetic to the meal that I barely had, he impolitely offered to have our food wrapped for take away because of his blatant intent to limit our sitting time. I was not able to order my other favorites including the dessert I was craving for because of his actions. Confused, I handed my card to him for payment to avoid any further discussion and loss of appetite from such a disgusting experience. A few seconds after, he was at our table again saying that my card was declined. He asked for another card however I refused to provide him with another and told him to try again. The payment went through and I coldly asked him to write his name on the receipt. Taffy Cheung; a rot in the customer service industry. He was one of the worst, if not THE worst servers in the world. I have never experienced this kind of nauseating incident in all the other branches of The Cheesecake Factory that I have been at especially in SF. I will surely tell all of my family and friends about this sickening experience. I even deem to tell this distasteful experience to the 700+ students I am currently teaching here in Hong Kong for them to learn about the importance of proper communication, customer service, and brand image.

Reminds me of home... portions are massive, decor and menu the same and I think it is a great place to get your American comfort food fix. As the menu is extensive there is always something for everyone so an easy choice. While it is a bit of a trek to come to the darkside, I came at 11 to avoid the crowds and greedily ordered the lunch portion cobb salad -$166 and chicken louisana pasta -$136 (to go) as these are the two things I always order with my sister whenever we go to a Cheesecake Factory in the US. To wash down my mountain of salad, my strawberry lemonade was nice, sweet and tart -$49. Admittedly the mountain of salad makes you think you're a cow with all that chewing and I wished my pasta was around for me to give my tastebuds a bit of a break but I was determined to finish it as I have been waiting 5 months to try this place out and queuing for hours is not my idea of fun. Like people have mentioned you might not get the bread so I asked for it. Hahah ... nicely baked and warm I indulged in the bread basket. Will gladly return

The photos on yelp looked amazing but I always have my doubts. We decided to order: 1. Strawberry snow with panna cotta: the shaved ice looked so amazing! My gf said they imported the snow from Japan... That seems a bit excessive but the ice was perfectly shaved and I loved the amount of cream they put on it. It wasn't too saturated and overly sweet but also the center had awesome flavor and wasn't bland. I also loved the panna cotta on the bottom. They visited Oddies and we wanted to try egg waffles so we walked there. Getting there was admittedly a steep trek but it was completely worth the walk. It's a small shop that was easy to miss, but there was a nice spot to sit down inside. We bought the Fancy Pants parfait, which was somewhat pricey (about $10 US). We opted to eat it on the way back to our hotel. The gelato was soft and creamy, and had multiple layers of tantalizing flavors (peanut butter, cookie chunks, etc.). It was super flavorful and delicious. The egg waffles themselves were crispy on the outside and custardy and soft on the inside. They were the perfect amount of sweetness and absolutely delectable when eaten in a spoon with the ice cream. This was so, so yummy and unique- definitely somewhere to go and wish we had time for a repeat visit!

There is a reason why this place is so popular: it feels very home-y with the booths along the sides of the shop and round family-style tables. We arrived around 9:20pm on a Monday night, with little to no line. Just a short 5 minute wait for tables to clear up. In that time, we noticed dessert bowls served in pretty yellow Chinese-style porcelain bowls. Once seated, a Chinese menu peered up at us from under a glass-topped table. I quickly asked for an English menu and a lady kindly brought it to us. I was originally eyeing the walnut cream 合桃露 or the almond cream 杏仁露, but considering my slight cough, decided against anything nutty and heavy, and went for the red bean sweet soup with tangerine peel 陳皮紅豆沙, and boy am I GLAD that I did. It wasn't too dense or too watery. The red bean was blended quite smoothly into the soup with small chunks here and there. There were no visibly large red beans as you would see in other places. While I previously preferred the large chunky "hong dao sa", I think my tastes buds have changed, and have found my go-to place at Yuen Kee. In addition, what I liked best was the use of the tangerine peel - which gave the red bean soup a new uplifting citrus-y smell and taste, and provided a pleasant and natural sweetness to the soup (compared with overly and unnaturally sweet ones elsewhere). My friend's sesame soup 芝麻湖 was just as delicious! Like my red bean soup, it was perfectly blended, and not too grainy, nor too thick or goopy of a sesame mixture. I only wish ALL the desserts came in the yellow bowls - ours came in plain white bowls. You can be sure I'll be back once my health is fully restored.

The menu is simple and they've got most of the must-haves at dessert shops. They have a minimum spend per person if you are dining in, so beware if your group has a person who doesn't do sweet soups. The worst thing (or best thing) that could happen is you eat one for them. The tongsui we ordered were all very basic and while they were delicious, I couldn't tell if they were better or higher quality ingredients compared to other shops across Hong Kong. If I were to be in the area and wanting tongsui, then sure why not. But I am unsure if I would purposely take the train and walk here.

The guacamole was offered in generous portions, and the only thing that I could possibly say they weren't generous with, in terms of portion size was my juice. That's fine though.
