Who is Lee and where is his family?! Oh well, at least I know where the chicken's at. I don't really give five stars to restaurants because there will always be one or two things amiss, but with Lee's Family Chicken (LFC) everything just came together like it was construction glue - except for the service which was a fustercluck. However, If you're down to eat various types of chicken and can't be bothered by anything else, this is your type of Friday/Saturday night joint.
LFC is a typical hof joint except it has the annoying TV loaded with K-pop on max volume. I prefer to sit as far away as possible from that mess and just enjoy the goodness of the chicken. I liked the tinted windows so outsiders can't peep in no matter how hard they try. As soon as we sat down, we wasted no time in ordering EVERYTHING chicken: the fried chicken, soy chicken, half and half chicken and BBQ chicken. Don't bother ordering anything without chicken on it; you came to this place for the CHICKEN, right?
Wash it all down with Hite beer and the night is golden. Make sure you come early like two hours early as seats fill up pretty fast for dinner time. Waiting is as exciting as watching grass grow. Reservations are highly recommended for special occasions. A lot of the wait staff are Korean so it adds authenticity to the place, plus I could break out a few Korean phrases just to annoy them. If you want to bring home the chicken goodness, LFC has a separate takeaway counter. Will I be coming back here? *Expletive* YES! read more
