Cannot overstate how much of a must-visit this restaurant is! Everything about Ladies Street Sik Fan, down to the nostalgia-inducing retro interior, is worth experiencing.
The menu is extensive without losing its authenticity. We ordered the braised pork with preserved vegetables in claypot, diced beef cubes with glazed potatoes and bell peppers, and the soy sauce fried noodles with squid tentacles. Not only was each dish delicious, but they reminded me of the comforting meals my grandma and grandpa would make for me growing up. The soy sauce noodles had a delightfully intense, savory flavor. The potatoes were soft and not at all overwhelming despite being bulky additions to a plate of tender meat. I was very impressed by the quality and taste of the beef. The braised pork was maybe the best take on the dish I've ever had.
I wish we ate here a second time before the end of our trip so that we could have tried even more dishes.
If you're looking for a fun dinner, whether that be eating at a place that's fun to look at (there are neon signs and street-inspired decor everywhere), or just enjoying fun, top-notch food, definitely make a reservation here.
Service was good, nothing too special, but very in line with other Hong Kong dining experiences!
