In what has to be one of the more unique names for a HK Style Cafe, "Relax For A While" is a direct and literal translation of "輕鬆一下" (Hing Song Yat Ha), which doesn't completely correlate given how busy it is here all the time. Located on Kimberly Road, there is a definite touristy vibe, yet it is one of the few places I can feel confident in going to for its consistency in food and service.
I'm usually somewhat weary of nearby hotel spots, but TST just has that vibe going for it in most parts of the hood. I've seen a lot of locals jam pack this place in the morning as well as the evening, presumably before folks venture off to nearby Knutsford Terrace (https://www.yelp.com/biz/%E8%AB%BE%E5%A3%AB%E4%BD%9B%E8%87%BA-%E9%A6%99%E6%B8%AF). Thankfully the prices aren't outrageous and are on par with most of the local HK Cafe competition.
Breakfast is my favorite time to come here. The table turnover is quick and the waits are never long. Their Wonton Noodles (餛吞面) and Beef Brisket Noodles (牛腩面) are tasty, despite being a bit on the salty side (#brothsodium). I would also give a passing grade to their a la carte Dim Sum, which might solid for a fix but not better than any teahouse (茶樓). I think their Macaroni Soups + Congee (粥) are their winners for the morning, depending of course on the add-ons. Highly recommend their Fried Fish Skin (炸魚皮) as a dipping side in addition to their Fried Dough (油炸鬼). I also appreciate their metal cups for cold drinks, especially the milk tea (凍奶茶).
Lastly, this is one of those spots where dining alone is totally fine. If anything, I prefer coming here when I want to get away from the bustle of TST. Free WiFi makes this place even better than most. Remember to ignore the staff shouting at each other and to bring plenty of cash as they do not accept credit cards. read more
