Fried oysters (left) crab ragoons (middle) Godzilla roll (right)

Saturday night impromptu dinner and decided to try something new. I was greeted by the sweetest hostess (Iliana) and was sat/greeted right away by my server (Izzy) they were very helpful with the menu and preferred choices. They have AYCE sushi for $35 and 1/2 price alcohol drinks *at least for that time frame* The food came out very fast, the staff helped each other with running so nothing was a long wait. I chose a speciality roll and it did not disappoint. The fried oysters were amazing. Fried perfectly and seasoned to perfection. And of course you can't go wrong with crab ragoons

The hidden gem of downtown Milwaukee. The service is amazing and the iPad ordering could not be simpler. The restaurant has a cool relaxed vibe with large windows and plenty of natural light. The food is still the star of the show. Fresh, creative and flavorful. Such an amazing selection on the all your can eat menu. Incredible food, amazing value and fabulous staff.

Went to ZX Sushi during dinner time and it was a STRUGGLE to find parking. I definitely recommend parking in the car parks near by as the lots in the area were really expensive and street parking was also impossible to find. The interior was very simple but eye-catching! The neon sign in the middle of the restaurant was a vibe. There were alot of windows seating, so it was nice people watching here and there, while eating. Once my friend and I were seated, we were given an iPad to select our items. They had a wide range of options from AYCE appetizers, Nigiri/sashmi, signature rolls, vegetable rolls, and regular rolls, ramen, entrees, and desserts. You are also able to select drinks and different entrees but they aren't included in the AYCE menu. My friend and I started with a few appetizers; takoyaki, shumai, fried oysters, and baked mussels. All of the appetizers were amazing but the baked mussel was so good! We kept ordering more, there was a sweetness that made it so addicting. The signature rolls were good! Similar to other places that I've had these rolls from. The Nigiri was pretty good! There wasn't an insane amount of rice packed into each piece, which made the bits feel light. Our server and the staff were all very nice and attentive! They checked up on us often and was always fun to talk with! My only downside to my experience, was that they kept taking our iPad to use at different tables, which made it a little inconvenient to order more food. Overall, will definitely come back and try some of their other rolls and maybe entrees!

I really wanted to love this place because the restaurant itself is beautiful, in a great location, and the food was genuinely fantastic - but the service completely ruined the experience. I'll start with the food - we loved it. The sushi was beautifully presented and tasted fresh. The chefs definitely knocked that out the park. However, we were essentially forgotten for most of the night. While ordering food on tablets was convenient, you can't order alcoholic drinks that way, which meant trying to flag down a server... and that was nearly impossible. It took a lot of effort just to get someone's attention for basic things like ordering alcohol or even getting extra napkins. We would have ordered more drinks, but we were only able to get attention for one drink order. Our table was never checked on. Plates piled up to the point where we were stacking them at the edge of the table hoping someone would clear them and no one did. The stacked plates sat there for over an hour after we had finished eating. Halfway through our meal, they took our tablets away (there seemed to be a tablet shortage - I think ours was given to another table) so we couldn't even order more food, which defeats the point of an all you can eat style restaurant. I also brought my 1.5-year-old son and packed his own food and drinks. Despite that, I was charged $15.99 for a "kids meal" without anyone informing me or asking. That was incredibly frustrating, but it was ultimately taken off the bill. The thing that sealed it for me was that I had to ask four separate times just to get the check, I was blown away that in our 2.5 hours there - an hour was mainly waiting to be noticed - that there wasn't any attention thrown our way. I understand this is a newer restaurant and there are always growing pains, and I truly tried to be patient, but this level of service was really disappointing. It's a shame, because the food and atmosphere have so much potential. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be back. I do hope they can improve their service because the foundation is definitely there.

Came for opening weekend and the wait was just too long (hopefully was a good sign that it was so popular!). Came back a few days late and was able to get seated straight away. The ordering process is a bit different than other places, the leave the iPad at your table to order but then take it away. You can always flag them down to get it back and order more but might be better to have one available in case you want to order some more right away when you're doing AYCR. Food definitely comes out quickly and is very spelled out on the menu. The nigiri are very good portion sizes. Also tried a few rolls and the tonkatsu ramen (the portion size is small which is nice since you'll be enjoying all your other rolls). It's a large place inside. Seats up front with big windows and the back room appears more intimate. Definitely coming back here again!!

Tried out XZ sushi with friends for lunch. The place is very spacious and staff was so kind and attentive during our visit. We went with the All you can eat menu, which includes sushi rolls, Ramen, appetizers, and other items which you order off of an iPad and they are brought to your table. A really great deal for the price! We tried a wide variety of dishes between the four of us. Some of my favorites included the crab rangoons, gyozas, and ramen. The sushi was also good, just not my favorite in the city. Overall a unique experience offering a solid variety of meal options for everyone.

We arrived very close to closing time and had a slight wait but once we for a server, we had an excellent experience! Loved the all you can eat and everything was wonderful. Probably wouldn't order the ramen again just so we have more space for sushi but love that there are alternatives for those dining together that don't prefer sushi. Can't wait to go back again!

Didn't take the photo till most was eaten!

The greeting from the hostess was warm and friendly; she is an asset and really makes you feel welcome. Once we were seated and finally finished our struggle with what to order, we got our drinks. I had to go with the One Night in Bangkok again because it's just a really nuanced and complex mix of tangy, spicy and a hint of sweet. The smoke show also is impressive. My cousin tried the Berry-cation from the summer menu and it was perfect for her - very fresh and a little sweeter. Cousin-in-law got the Thai Goddess, with tomato, and it was very interesting - not quite fruity and not overly vegetal - very cool. Our food was amazing. The first several minutes were just a series of different people saying "Oh my God" as we tried different things. There was no weak dish. We enjoyed a good mix of seafood and meat dishes, that included Golden Fungi, Phuket Jor Pu, Namya Pu, Kurobuta Pork in Panang Curry Sauce, Hung Lay Short Ribs, the Samurai Signature Set, Kinnic Crisp Shell, Nam Prik Aon, Waygu A Rockfire, Mango Sticky Rice and a complementary birthday Yuzu Cheesecake. This restaurant has a way of really creating a special experience and hits on all the important points. Stunning,

The food was wonderful, I loved the summer cocktail, and the crab rangoon was the best I've had in quite some time. The golden fungi was pleasantly spicy and so crispy, my friend who doesn't like mushrooms enjoyed it. I loved the chashu bao buns, the pork was so tender and the softness of the bao buns was very nice. Definitely have to stop by and give them a try, I know I'd like to again.

I usually get the sushi lunch set, and my husband typically gets the panang curry. We've also tried several appetizers; the gyoza were decent, the fish cakes were tasty, and the tom kha soup is quite good. Prices are a little steep for appetizers. The chicken in the panang curry tended to be rather overcooked, but the sauce is fantastic. The spicy tuna roll is good, the Alaska roll is standard fare, but the Fire Dragon roll was excellent. We also tried the Milwaukee roll and that was good too. My only significant complaint is that the sushi set has increased in price (by removing one of the items you're allowed to get with it). On my two previous experiences, you could get two classic sushi rolls, a miso soup, and either spring rolls or crab rangoon. On this last visit, they've redesigned the lunch set menu and now for the same price ($15.95) you can still get two classic sushi rolls, but then you only get a choice of one side -- soup or fried item or salad item. That's disappointing. They do offer the choice of getting a premium sushi roll instead of the two classic rolls for the same price, or for $23.95 you can get even more (though I don't recall the specifics). So while I previously thought the sushi lunch set was an excellent value for the price, I was bummed that they'd reduced the amount of food you enjoy for the price instead. And as a sidenote, the Thai tea is smallish in size compared to what you can get at other similar Thai restaurants. At $4.50 it's not that great a deal. All that said, I'll be back for that Fire Dragon roll. That thing was excellent.

Our server took a while to stop by for our drink orders and longer for our lunch order. It then took at least 10-15 minutes after soup/salad for our entrees to come out. I get it if the kitchen is busy but I watched my sushi platter sit on the bar for a while before our server came back to deliver it. He also didn't stop by much - hard to find to grab our bill. That took another 15 minutes. Frustrating as we saw other tables get helped promptly by many of the other servers. While this is a normally good, quick lunch spot, we didn't leave until maybe an hour and a half later. The food was okay but not worth the poor service. I did hear that the chicken hibachi was good but would've been better with yum yum and ginger sauce like what's available at other restaurants. Maybe just a one off but we won't return soon.
