Hi David, Sorry about delay but busy getting work. What can I say? I now live in an amazing corner of Brooklyn, with suburban houses and a whole load of trees...go figure! Close to the city. I searched all 5 boroughs for 2 months all day long. I started by looking for a room in the 800-1200 range. I stumbled upon a studio for 1100 in Washington Heights and was stunned to find that something around that amount would get me my own place.The only catch: a brokers fee (and a pay stub). That didn't work out (someone else was faster with the paperwork) and I am happy it didn't . After realizing that the money you pay a broker is probably the wisest investment you will ever make I searched brokers offers. The only place comparable in size to what I finally signed with ZUZ on was in Crown Heights, and my place is beautiful and in a beautiful, relaxed, very mixed place. Truly a great find, everyone agrees. Sunlight pours in all day long (no tall houses around), the wood floors are beautifully (there's that word again) finished. Management and live in super have been perfect so far, responding very quickly and always being available. No Bugs. No surprises. What can I say? Thanks Guys, Go ZUZ! Gregory P.S I have to add that I saw the negative add on this page when I was making up my mind whether to trust ZUZ or not (its always trust at the end) and luckily I ignored it as it seems overblown. My trust was well warranted. I would like to point out that it also has a serious logical flaw. At one point he claims he had to clean up dead roaches when he moved in and later he says he would never have moved in if he knew he was going to live with bugs....the only logical conclusion is that he must have signed without even looking at the floor of the apartment. I made an account to write this review. I'd recommend taking this review, along with all the others, with a grain of salt. TL;DR - We met with David at an apartment that wasn't yet listed, paid him the application & holding fee immediately. 2 days later we signed in the lease, moved in June 1st. Awesome. ----------- My Girlfriend and I saw an apartment on StreetEasy and emailed David Nissanian to view it. He told us it was no longer available but he was going to put up a brand new apartment later that day and we should see it. We saw it and loved it. He told us there was a holding fee (that would go toward the brokers fee) to keep the apartment as ours while our applications went through so we paid $750 total right then and there. After reading all these other YELP reviews, we began to think this guy was scamming us out of 750 and was going to keep the money and run. However, he agreed to meet us at the apartment the next day and answered all of our questions and concerns. He gave us the Super's number and all information about the company which owned the building. The following day we met and the Zuz Realty office and signed the lease. Everything was clear and communicated. Afterwards, we called the Super who gave us the keys and let us get in the apartment 5 days before the least started to measure the elevator/apartment/windows etc so we could begin planning our move. He let us put in requests for any free installments/repairs to be done before our Lease started. We moved in last week with no issues. David even called to check how we were liking the place and asked if the move went smoothly. If any of the fast-paced NYC realtors make you uncomfortable, there's still 3-4 companies which show each apartment so just shop around. read more

Looking for your first apartment and finding a great neighborhood is important. I inquired about many apartments on the website Easy Roommate. Most were in questionable neighborhoods and were very cheap in price. However, one that really made an impression on me was a place in Midwood. Midwood is a quiet, clean, safe neighborhood filled with professionals. Its close proximity to restaurants, stores, coffee shops and the subway make it desirable. Manny from Zuz Realty made this a fabulous experience for me. I had inquired about an apartment on Ocean Ave which had just sold out. Fortunately, that very night Manny contacted me about another place on Ocean Ave that was available for rent. He contacted me the following day again asking more questions about what I was looking for and when I was moving. Once he has spoken with my mom we immediately set up a date and time to see the apartment. Since I'm a college student in Manhattan I wanted an apartment with easy subway access. Manny explained the transit system and how to get on the Q train. Manny met me and my mom in front of the apartment. I was surprised at how large and spacious the rooms were that included huge closets. - Apartments in Manhattan or northern Brooklyn would be tiny with minimal closet space and overpriced. Manny gave me a tour of the rooms on both the first and third floors. He explained specifics about each apartment. He was polite, friendly, professional, informative, and not at all pushy. He made my first experience at looking for my first apartment a pleasant one. I had an apartment lined up ready to put the application in. David was amazing and worked really hard to make this work. I was a little suspicious when I found out the price of the application fee but David was really nice so I put that aside. I came down to their office to put in my application when I met his boss Mike. From the moment I walked in I was completely blown off. He pretty much told me I wasn't getting the apartment. He then offered to show me other apartments. I have to move out now so I agreed not having much of a choice. I need a 2 bedroom for 3 people myself and my brother and sister. He said they where 2 bedrooms but walk ups on the 2nd floor so I agreed. Only when we get there and they are 1 bedrooms. He then gets angry at me saying no he told me they where 2 bedrooms. I ran into the broker of my backup apartment. Turns out that Mike is his boss too! He then tells him that no the deal won't work out for this apartment either. Even though I met the landlord and he loved me and wanted me to move in ASAP. I have never been treated so badly by a person in my life and I work in retail. He was rude, lied to my face multiple time, tried to get me to sign for a shitty apartment the same price as the other ones I wanted, and then ditched me in the middle the city not even close to public transportation. The employees of this company are very nice but unless their boss Mike likes you you are out of luck. I do not recommend them. It's a waste of your time. The only good thing I have to say is that at least I didn't pay the application fee. Which BTW is $125 per person so that's x3 in my case. read more

My fiancé and I finally ran across a realty company Zuz Realty after ten months. I saw a listing for a two bedroom in my price range. We met with a young lady named Chaya and she showed it to us. It was a two bedroom combo. We put in the application and partial fee and waited for a response. With the luck we had we thought we wouldn't get it. We didn't. It actually was rented before we saw but due to email servers being down and communication was lost. But that did not stop the realty company from coming through for us. They immediately had another apartment to show which was in a nice neighborhood. Again a two bedroom. Huge living room , Lots of closet space and on the first floor which is a plus for new parents like us. This was introduced to us by A young man named Simca. We immediately saw the property and wanted to rent. We signed the lease that evening with David and got the keys on the day of the move in. They followed up timely and helpfully whenever they could. If you are a person, with realistic expectations on renting and need an ASAP company to work with you I would recommend this company. They also recommended a credit repair company to us for my fiancé. All around helpful and professional. Great help to us. read more

After reading some not fantastic reviews on here, I was definitely hesitant about working with Zuz Realty, but Simcha managed to go above and beyond any range of expectations I may have had. Simcha helped myself and my fiancée find an apartment back in February, which we scheduled to see VERY last minute, but he made himself available. Since my fiancée has quite a busy schedule, and I was still living and working in CT at the time, we needed someone who would be flexible and willing to answer all the annoying questions that we had. Even after having rescheduled meeting with him several times, asking incredibly detailed and possibly annoying questions, and eventually ending up back at meeting with him at the originally scheduled time, Simcha was attentive and knowledgable every step of the way. While I'm still not sure why there have been some difficulties with Zuz for others, I can't help but at least promote Simcha as much as possible. Everything about what probably should have been a much more stressful process for us, he understood and helped as much as humanly possible. I can't attest for the rest of Zuz Realty, but by all means, if you get a chance to work with Simcha, do not pass it up! read more

First things first I just want to say Michael Bor and Rachel Aviv are THE BEST! When no other realty agency wanted to help a young 23 year old girl with a son, they did ! I'm very satisfied with my new apartment , I cried when I finally got it. Michael was very and extremely helpful finding and having the patience with me and my 1 year old won trying to find an apartment for us . I wanted to give up numerous times and I was very stubborn but Michael really looked out and tried his hardest to get me a really good place to live . He was very honest , transparent and I would definitely recommend him . Rachael was very attentive and communicated with me very well. I really appreciate her help . They were so genuine and really empathize for me .Michael never gave up even when I did and this is what good customer service is . This rev is very long overdue. Once upon a time I was planning to rent apartment for myself and my family. I was fortunate and blessed to be dealing with Michael. He was very curiou. professional, and above all scrupulously HONEST. He worked extremely hard and was very outgoing and candid. After my life's circumstances had changed, and i was dealing with a-lot of issues, Michael was still calling and checking in with me, every few weeks, just to offer support and keep in touch. Mind you, I was no longer looking to rent any property. As time went on, and I realized the issues I was dealing with will not change anytime soon, Michael and the Real Estate agency refunded my deposit. I dis not expect to really get a refund. I though deposit will be impossible to get back. I expected this ti drag out for ever, without any good outcome. Not only i got my $500 back almost i instantly, Michael even checked, if refund payment went trough. So I was pregnant with my third child and have to move out of my tiny 1 bedroom. Contacted a realtor and showed me places. We went with a 2 bedroom it was a good price and fair location. I was due in a week and needed the place desperately. After filling out the application and leaving a deposit the realtor tells me the apartment has been rented!!!!!! Are you serious? I waited 4 days after giving all my paperwork in and that's the response I get??? I took back my deposit and my Friend called me and introduced me to Zuz Realty where they have gotten their apartment 2 months ago. Sam from Zuz showed us 2 places we were in love with it. The only problem was that it wouldn't be ready until after a week of my birth and couldn't wait to long. Sam said e will contact the landlord and see what he can do. I chose to go with Zuz Realty over signing for another apartment because of the relators. Manny was extremely helpful in the process and was willing to go out of his way to make sure that I was comfortable and felt taken care of. After showing me around the whole apartment he also drove me around the neighborhood and pointed things out so that I could get a sense of the area. I needed to move into a place quickly and Manny made everything happen, was easy to get in contact with, and made initial payments very effortless. Since I moved in, Manny has continued to be a great realtor. I know I can come to him with any concerns I have regarding the apartment and that he will take care of it. I locked myself out of my room on a Sunday morning and Manny came right over to help me! The only thing that I think could be improved on with Zuz is communication. There have been a handful of times where I didn't get the full explanation or felt like I was lacking context from them. I just moved to New York from Denver, having only visited on vacations prior. Finding a place in a new big city can definitely prove to be a daunting task. My roommate and I had a full day set aside to check out numerous properties across Brooklyn that met our budget and needs. Also having yet to procure employment (my roommate is employed) with only savings to deal with, we assumed we were in for a long day. We found an apartment online and called to make an appointment on an open house day. Sam Fazilov met us there, showed us the place, answered all of our questions and was super relaxed and relatable. He explained all the application requirements to us- online application process, application fee, and a deposit to hold the apartment. We put our deposit down later that night and applied pronto. We were approved in a couple days and Sam got an appointment with the management company within the week to sign the lease. Either we got really lucky or Sam is a rockstar! (or both) Sam is a very good communicator and responded quickly to our texts and calls. His relaxed demeanor was super refreshing and made our experience one of the best apartment hunts we have ever had. I finally found this company after trying to find an apartment on my own. I am a native New Yorker who is no fool but even I had my run ins with scumbag landlords and shady brokers. I found Zuz online through a popular website and I texted Sam Fazilov, one of their agents, he responded to me within 5 minutes and 10 minutes later after asking me what I was looking for and some info on me we agreed to meet the next day. The first apartment was not what I wanted but Sam was so dedicated to getting me into the apartment of my dreams that he drove me around Brooklyn and we finally found the apartment that I will be bringing my new baby home to this June 2016. The process was sooooo easy, everyone in their office is polite and professional, and he is a man of his word. I will always and only do business with Zuz in the future. Worked with David N., who was great. He responded quickly to my emails and texts and kept me up to date with what was required for the application. I will say that it is important to have all your documents in order .... like, ALL of them. Including your tax returns. But David was helpful in letting me know what more was needed, timelines, etc. So no fault of his. He also advocated on our behalf to the management, which seemed to help. I find broker's fees to be a little ridiculous overall, since they tend to be way higher than the actual monthly cost of the apartment, but he was fair in giving us a slight reduction in rate. And, all realty services are kind of a racket, so it's not like they're doing anything different than anyone else. Anyway, we are moving into our new place soon and glad that David was able to help us find it. read more

Finding an apartment in NY can be a nerve-racking experience. Particularly when it is the first time you are living on your own. Zuz realty seems to be a rather new business, and it can strike as unorganized at times. Still, the people seem to be trustworthy. Problems in real estate occur with anyone, so you can expect there to be misunderstandings and negotiations. Still, Zuz Realty, through my contact Manny, has so far resolved the problems and brought solutions which is what matters in my own personal experience. What is a rather important point is that Zuz Realty is amiable to working through particular situations such as my own as an international student. My relationship with the business has been short, but so far I am satisfied with the attention they have given me as a customer. read more

I had a great experience with Zuz Realty. After weeks of searching, I was getting down to the wire and had less than a week to get myself out of my old apartment--and still had not found my new home. Al and David not only helped me find a great place, but they went the extra mile and made the whole thing happen for me within my very short time constraint. I saw the apartment I wanted on Wednesday night and was all moved in by Sunday night. With every roadblock along the way, they consistently came up with solutions. I am not the sort of person who wants to pay a broker's fee for an apartment unless I am truly getting good value for it. Great experience! It is very difficult to find an apartment in NYC as a foreign student. Initially, I had met with a few brokers beforehand and was disappointed with the results. Manny from Zuz realty was such a life saver. I called him late at night to inquire about an apartment I saw on Cragslist. Manny quickly set up an appointment for the day. Zuz Realty was great. They were very responsive and friendly. Bhatia was my leasing agent and she was so sweet ! Her warm personality made the overall experience positive and motorists to get my dream apartment ! Bhatia even went as far as suggesting design ideas for the apartment and really helped me imagine myself living in the apartment and turning it into my dream home . The approval process was fairly easy and the lease signing was a breeze with the help of Bhatia and Simcha i was approved and moved in just days after seeing the apartment .
