Alex is kind, understanding, and consistently communicative. He often replies to emails within minutes! Sokol, the super, has also been wonderful to work with. He's incredibly responsive, helpful, and always quick to address anything that comes up in the building. It's rare to find a team so reliable and easy to work with in property management, and it's made my experience living here seamless and stress-free. I'm very grateful to have had such a positive experience and would highly recommend Alex and the team to anyone.

Fortunately, we had dated photos of the apartment showing it was in the same shape as when we moved in a few years prior, and we were able to get most of our deposit back after a lot of back and forth. If you're a tenant in one of their buildings, I highly recommend documenting the condition of the apartment when you move in (missing screens in windows, small chips or scrapes, etc.). Otherwise, they will make every effort to keep your security deposit.

What? A real estate agent that actually works to earn their commission? Yes, miracles do exist…read more The hubby and I wandered into this real estate agency after seeing an apt a couple blocks away. We sat down with one of the real estate agents and she seemed completely confused and befuddled by our wants (an apt). Step in Josephine. We sat down with her an explained what we were looking for. Challenge. We had no jobs, a dog and a really weird timeframe to work with, plus we lived out of state. She found what seemed like a great apt within our limited budget and was willing to show my sister the place since I was out of town by that point. Someone else ended up getting the place because my sister just couldn't get there in time. Fast forward a few months. Numerous delays kept us from moving. I called Josephine and left a message. Within an hour, she called me back. She wasn't too hopeful that we'd find anything that fit us but said she'd call us back if something popped up on the radar. Lo and behold, two weeks later, she did call back and had found a place that met our criteria. Ultimately we ended up finding an apt through owner via craigslist. The only time I've felt bad. This is the one real estate agent I would have gladly paid a broker's fee. I cannot recommend her enough if you need an agent for Kensington or Windsor Terrace.

If you've ever been in the market for an apt you know that so many agents are only in it for the bucks. You run into bait and switch, etc. Not so with these guys! If you need an apt, I would immediately contact Parkview and in particular Josephine. She is really trustworthy and was really helpful to our family. She followed up immediately. Watched out for our interests. And everyone at Parkview was pleasant and showed real integrity. Unbelievable these days! -Karin M.

I've lived here for over a decade (at 222 east 8th). So my review is coming from the perspective of…read morea long time resident. Here are some pros and cons: 1. Rent is cheap (a little over $1k for a one bedroom but that's because I've lived here for so long). I know that if you want to move into here now you won't get rent anywhere close to that price. It's rent controlled so my rent only goes up a little bit every year. However, they try all types of tricks to raise the rent, predominantly MCI (major capital improvements). For example, a couple of years ago they replaced the elevator and did some outer construction on the apartments with balconies. They increased everyone's rent in the building, claiming outrageous prices for the upgrades. They claimed the new elevator alone cost them $100,000. I don't buy it for a second. They recently installed a crap ton of unnecessary cameras (they are literally in every nook and cranny) and I'm waiting to get a letter from them about how much this bs cost to install - mind you no one asked to be hypersurvellied like this. What's more is that you pay for the MCI not until the debt is payed off, but continuously! In perpetuity! It's a great way for them to jack up the rent. 2. The lobby is clean but the hallways and stairs are filthy. The super wipes it down once a week but it does nothing to help. I really wish they would buff the floors once or twice a year. 3. Bed bugs, roaches, and mice are a thing, but that's NYC for you. We've had beg bugs twice now and each time the management office pays a company to come and exterminate them. That did nothing for us, so my father took matters into his own hands and bought a hot steam machine and that's what finally killed them! However, not before spending a lot of money on new furniture and rugs. 4. I've never had an issue asking the office to fix something. If you report it to the super you will have it fixed within the week. They are good at helping with maintenance. 5. There is a small laundry facility in the basement with 5 laundry machines and 4 dryers. The machines suck and never wash my clothes well but that tends to be the case for communal washing machines. That's not really the fault of the management office. 6. The apartments themselves are spacious and have large windows. I get a lot of sunlight into my apartment which I love. However, bathroom and kitchen are filled with furniture and appliances that are grade-level. The cheapest they could find I'm sure. Overall I've enjoyed living in this complex and would recommend it. I just wish it was cleaner and they wouldn't try so hard to extract money from the tenants.

We NEVER received ANY document signed (or any communication or proof of life whatsoever) from the person we were allegedly subletting from. We were harassed and cursed at in our apartment by the misogynistic handymen on more than one occasion. There was a dead tenant in a unit on the first floor for 6 months and they never did a wellness check. Then they pushed us to move out and refused us the option to sign a legit lease to reside there a second year... and then one day Danny showed up at our door with literally 20 people to give tours of our unit after texting us just a a few hours earlier requesting to give tours to "a few" groups. He did not wait for us to respond consenting to the tours before he showed up with a crowd at our door, and he became very angry when after the 8th tour group we began to express discomfort with him bringing such a large volume of strangers into the apartment, given that he failed to give sufficient notice and had obviously intentionally misrepresented the number of tours he intended to give. He raised his voice at us once we spoke up for ourselves and called me a "m*therf*cker" when I told him to leave after he completed all the tours. Please please please save yourselves from the headache and disrespect from these guys. I wish we had been warned about them.
