I had to sort through so many Crooks and there's so many dishonest people in NYC real estate, it was a breath of fresh air to just find somebody like Julian who was straightforward about his service and did not require strange things like good faith deposits with no documentation to show where the money was going. Good thing too because I was looking for an apartment. I recently got engaged and wanted to surprise my fiance with a new and renovated place for the both of us. We want to start a family so somewhere in Queens where is quite would be good for us. I recently have been looking around but having someone to help me could be beneficial to me. I walked in before going back home after leaving my friend's house and the receptionist gave me a business card to call back tomorrow morning because they were closing for the day. She told me she was selling a few homes in the neighborhood that I could look at. I went alone to check it out for myself and it wasn't too shabby. I will call tomorrow morning to make an appointment to discuss what I really want and what is good for my fiance and I. Great to see the community I know change for the good and allow people from the neighborhood to buy into where they have lived for many generations. The best thing you can do is own property after renting for so long.

Well I wasn't going to write another review but since Barak from Blue Egg replied to my last…read morereview, I felt it was necessary that I point out the inaccuracies of his comment to further illustrate the level of unprofessionalism and total shadiness of Blue Egg. Barak has claimed that they did not violate the lease by entering the apartment without giving us notice. Fortunately, I still have a copy of my old lease and I'm attaching a photo of the section that clearly states "Further, during the last (3) months of the Term of this Lease, Landlord may enter the Unit to show the Unit to prospective tenants, upon giving 24 hour notice." UPON GIVING 24 HOUR NOTICE And I am also surprised that Barak claims that Blue Egg doesn't allow people to apply remotely because when I found the unit on Craigslist, the ad specifically said they work with people who are currently living out of state. That's actually one of the reasons why I applied and throughout the process, the agents assured me that it was no problem to complete the process remotely. It seems like Blue Egg relies on that because it makes it easier to take advantage of people. Also, the pictures I saw on the ad were of common spaces in the unit and when I requested photos of the room, and I even requested dimensions, the agents kept saying they would send them soon but of course, they never did. Kate would tell me that Elizabeth would send them, Elizabeth said Kaye would send them. It was either a conspiracy or total lack of communication but both are unacceptable. I understand that no company is perfect but Blue Egg does not take responsibility for their mistakes and instead, they put the blame on the clients. Also, I don't even know who Barak is so I'm not sure why he is claiming to know so much about my specific situation since he wasn't even a part of it. Your move, Blue Egg.

If I could give Tomer Hatuka 10 stars, I absolutely would!…read more I had been living remotely in another state for a few years and suddenly needed to move back to Queens with very little notice. I contacted more than 40 brokers over the course of two weeks, and no one was able to help. I was ignored, told my budget was unrealistic, or advised to wait until the rental market improved. Unfortunately, none of those options were possible for me--I was running out of time and desperately needed a place to live. I came across Tomer's ad online and reached out late at night to ask about seeing the apartment. By the next morning, he had confirmed a showing, and I was on my way from Manhattan to Queens. From our very first interaction, Tomer was responsive, efficient, and genuinely helpful. The first apartment I went to see ultimately wouldn't have been ready in time for my move-in date. I was already preparing to leave New York empty-handed and was running out of options. I had broken the lease on my current apartment and was facing the possibility of having nowhere to live. I asked Tomer if he happened to have anything else available. Instead of telling me to lower my expectations or wait it out, Tomer was incredibly understanding. He told me about another apartment he had that wasn't even listed online and asked if I could come back a few hours later to see it. A couple of hours later, he texted me to confirm the details. I had just checked out of my hotel and was rushing back to Queens with my luggage and my dog in tow. The entire day was chaotic and incredibly stressful, but Tomer remained calm, accommodating, and professional. Within hours of meeting me for the first apartment, he had arranged another showing. And that second apartment checked every box--and, most importantly, it was available for my move-in date! I told him I wanted it, and he immediately sent me the application by email. From that point forward, everything was seamless. Tomer has been incredibly responsive by both email and text, and he has always been clear, organized, and upfront about everything I needed to know. He turned an extremely stressful situation into one that felt manageable, and I genuinely couldn't be more grateful. If I hadn't met Tomer, I honestly don't know how much longer I would have been searching. I would wholeheartedly recommend Tomer to anyone looking for an apartment. He truly went above and beyond for me, and if I ever need to move again, he will be the first person I call!

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this listing within two hours or so of it being posted. I called, left a detailed voicemail and less than 5 mins I got a call back from Jonathan. Immediately I was at ease just from his voice - yes, that's a thing. He sounded calm, collected and easy going. Next thing you know, we're driving to see the property, same day. I mean, does it sound like it's meant to be or what?!? Anyhoo, we get there and the pictures are exactly like the real thing. So many postings make the place seem bigger than it is so I was so relieved. I knew I wanted to sign right away. Jonathan made the whole process so much easier and reassuring. He was attentive and extremely responsive - I never felt like I was left "hanging. " Even if he couldn't get back to me with a specific inquiry, he would text me an update. My bf really wanted to see one more property but his contact was taking DAYS to get back to him which just goes to show how unreliable other brokers can be. So I was like, screw your contact, Jonathan is our guy just say yes! Lol All in all, a great experience and I'm so grateful we crossed paths considering how emotionally draining apartment hunting already is. Now that we have the lease signed, all that's left is to do is fight about the furniture. Yay!

The landlord and property management were unresponsive and it took a huge amount of effort to get them to fix the problems we were having in the apartment, which included water damage and mold from the A/C units. We kept finding new examples of mold and water damage in the unit and building, and eventually we moved out because of it after realizing some of the health issues we'd had while living there were related to the mold issue. All in all a pretty upsetting experience.
