My bf and I were looking for an apartment for two months to no avail - a lot of brokers do the ole bait and switch which is incredibly misleading not to mention beyond frustrating. I was lucky enough to stumble upon this listing within two hours or so of it being posted. I called, left a detailed voicemail and less than 5 mins I got a call back from Jonathan. Immediately I was at ease just from his voice - yes, that's a thing. He sounded calm, collected and easy going. Next thing you know, we're driving to see the property, same day. I mean, does it sound like it's meant to be or what?!? Anyhoo, we get there and the pictures are exactly like the real thing. So many postings make the place seem bigger than it is so I was so relieved. I knew I wanted to sign right away. Jonathan made the whole process so much easier and reassuring. He was attentive and extremely responsive - I never felt like I was left "hanging. " Even if he couldn't get back to me with a specific inquiry, he would text me an update. My bf really wanted to see one more property but his contact was taking DAYS to get back to him which just goes to show how unreliable other brokers can be. So I was like, screw your contact, Jonathan is our guy just say yes! Lol All in all, a great experience and I'm so grateful we crossed paths considering how emotionally draining apartment hunting already is. Tomer was really helpful in helping me and partner find an apartment. His wife actually showed us the apartments and although we didn't have a lot of specific requests for a place (sunlight, spacious, close to both our workplaces), she was very attentive and showcased a lot of important details about the apartments we were viewing considering that I was pregnant at the time. She made sure to highlight details about spaces in the apartments for the baby, details about the schools, daycares and playgrounds in the neighborhood as well as other important locations that were CLOSE. (Because we all know pregnant women don't like to walk too far.. or at all) Once we made our decision, Tomer made everything very easy. All the documents needed for the application were emailed to management (no snail mail) and in a matter of days we had a new home! I worked with Tomer and Tali to get a lease in April 2013. I found the apartment listed on Craigslist for a reasonable price and Tali showed me the place. I told her I wanted to move forward that day, as she had other appointments for the same apartment and I was the first one to see it (lucky me), so it was off to the office in Forest Hills The office was nice and clean, and Tomer couldn't have been nicer. I signed some papers, and he got back to me via text message within a few days. After processing everything, I went to the office in Manhattan to execute the lease. We have been living here since then. The only problem I had, Tomer was there to save the day! The building offered "Free Installation and First Month Free" of Time Warner Cable. When I signed up with Time Warner, they didn't know how to give me the deal. After getting a huge bill, I was calling Time Warner's rental specific office every day, twice a day, for 7 days. I sent emails, and got no response. Luckily, Tomer called them directly, took care of it for me, and replied to my emails so quickly you would think it was an AOL chat room. A real man of action, and a savior for my wallet. What more could you ask for in a real estate agent? P.S. What is wrong with the negative reviews below me? One is a long sob story about something that seems way too fishy, and the other is complaining that the workers eat dinner. Go figure. read more

When I was recently looking for apartments in the Forest Hills/Rego Park area, I looked carefully at reviews of real estate agents, and at first I was attracted to the ones who seemed to have the most listings, figuring that the more I saw, the better a place I'd be likely to find. I went out with an agent who showed me a ton of apartments, but they were pretty clearly the ones everyone else was showing (some of which were in buildings with "no-fee" signs that I could have called myself to see had I wanted to), and they were at the top of my price range but didn't meet all my clearly stated requirements. Another agent scoffed at my desire to look at places a month before my intended moving date. So Tomer was the third real estate agent I encountered, and at first I was dubious; the pictures on his site looked good, but he only had one place to show me on the date I wanted to look. I went anyway....and even though the apartment was being renovated when I first saw it and was thus in chaos, I saw the space and the light and it became clear that this was where I wanted to be; I got a great apartment at a fair price. Tomer and I had a couple of minor mishaps in meeting up---make sure you always have a cell phone with you, and it's best to confirm things by email if possible---but he was aboveboard and helpful throughout the process. He may not have the most apartments currently available to be shown of any real estate agent you will find, but based on my experience, the ones he does have are worth seeing, and I couldn't be more delighted with where I ended up. read more
