a plate of food
James L.

I came across this hole in the wall a spot as I was leaving plaquemine Louisiana. So I've decided to grab something to take home so I wouldn't have to worry about cooking. I ordered the chicken shawarma and gyro plate. Overall the food was pretty good. I'd say it was light on the portions for the price. But I am comparing it to Zeus's in Moss Bluff Louisiana where the portions were huge and the flavors were huge. The lady that serving was very nice and helpful. I'd eat here again if I were in a pinch.

Underrated Greek in our small town! Salad dressing is unmatched. Of course it's what you expect at your typical Greek and Lebanese restaurant but it's definitely my favorite. Spinach pies are excellent and I love the shawarma quesadillas. Always a great salad as well. I hope they stay great.

Great food and great people, nice selection and the prices are good. They do need a bigger parking lot!

My first time in LA, this restaurant was highly recommended. It was a Monday night and it was…read moreextremely busy, it had a full bar and low dime lights. We were a party of two and were told that the wait would be 15-20 minutes. We waited 42 minutes to be seated. When we were finally seated the table had a horrible wobble, the waitress was clearly over worked, flustered, and confused when she came over to take our order. We were very simple, we stuck with water and immediately ordered only entrees. I ordered the chicken parmigiana, the salads took about 24 minutes to come out along with bread and was immediately followed out by our entrees 7 minutes later. The person I was dining with ordered the cheese lasagna with meatball; she said it was delicious. My chicken parmigiana however, was completely charred. I told one bite and was hit with the taste or BURNT breadcrumbs. The following information is why I rated this a 1 star. The person I was dining with flagged down the hostess because the server didn't check on us. She informed the hostess that the chicken was burnt, without a single word the hostess reached across the table and began to walk away, a different server saw the interaction and asked what happened. I said my chicken was burnt, again without saying anything to us, she walked over to the hostess and whispered to her. They both then headed to the kitchen. Again, they did NOT say anything to me or the person I was with. About 5 minutes later our waitress finally comes to the table and asked where my plate was, I explained about the chicken and she responded, let me check on it. NO ONE apologized to me, gave me a time frame for the remake, or even try to offer an excuse. They just walked away from us. When the waitress returned with the food, she set it down, and said "there you go" and walked away again. I paid for our meals and we left. In customer service, the expectation is to at a bare minimum l, apologize for the issue and tell me you'll rush the remake (even if you can't rush it). But to just not acknowledge us, it was very disappointing. An older gentleman had been roaming the restaurant, previous to us being seated, talking up customer and solving problems, I would guess he was either the owner or a manager. Either way, he was very active on the floor but he didn't even approach us after the issue. Again, VERY bad experience. I don't think I'll be revisiting this restaurant during my next visit to Baton Rouge.

The service was decent, and our waitress was lovely even while managing her chaotic, busy night. The specials did not disappoint; I would wait a million hours for this roasted garlic bread if I had to! The shrimp penne special was a creamy sauce with some greens and was really delicious! If you don't like garlic in your food I would avoid this spot! I would come back during a less busy time of the day.

And Grif and Kemp also got a glass knowing how particular I am! I started off with that melt in your mouth Caesar carpaccio (raw ribeye but make it fancy) and those crispy crab arancini with the rich smoked tomato hollandaise; straight flavor bombs. For the main, the squid ink spaghetti with shrimp + jalapeño pesto was DIFFERENT in the best way! And that veal milanese over red wine risotto? Crispy, tender, and packed with flavor every bite. Dessert sealed the deal! King Cake panna cotta with orange curd was smooth, creamy, and perfect for Mardi Gras season. They had a vegetarian menu - which had a variety of pasta options. In addition to the vegetarian menu, other items like salads on their regular menu are vegetarian as well. Their pasta is all homemade and it tasted amazing. I got the burrata salad, of which I requested beets be added to - delicious. Then the vegetarian baked ziti - of good size and definitely shareable, I ended up bringing a box home, also delicious. Their wine and cocktails list was pretty extensive as well. Ample free onsite parking. Whether you're looking for the perfect date night spot, girls nice dinner spot, or elevated family dinner - this is the place. 12/10!!!

They moved into a new location at Jones Creek. The new restaurant is beautiful on the bar side. The other side is a HUGE dining room for large groups and families with children. There is plants of parking but it's still a crowded parking lot.We have tried to go 4 times. We succeeded once on a Thursday at 5:30. The food was excellent. I had a personal vegetarian pizza and hubs had eggplant parm. Prices are very reasonable. I love their food and waitstaff is excellent- the 20 and 30 minute wait times not so much. Even the bar was SRO. It is a testament to their quality that it takes an act of DOG to get seated quickly. (I'm usually hangry when I get off work.I want to getting fed in 20 or 30 minutes, not just be seated and they don't take reservations. That being said, if you don't mind the wait, the food is always fresh, made to order. The quality is consistent and they are now even open limited hours on Sunday which is a nice brunch alternative. Our server was absolutely horrible last night. We will not be coming back due to how badly the service was handled. Out server on our ticket was JaNet A. I am giving the 2 stars instead of the one solely because i do love my food. if you sit on the left hand side of the restaurant the noise carries and it can get really loud. The place was not packed to set the tone. When we ordered our drinks my dad asked if she had grapefruit juice-depending on the answer was going to depend on what he was going to order. She took a while to come back for an answer- When she delivers my daughters food- she then confirms there is not grapefruit juice. We order eggrolls - She does not deliver them to us. - another server did. There is a hole in the wall when you sit on the left hand side that connects to the bar to what I assume the servers can order drinks. We can see her talking and talking. Mind you it has been 40 minutes since our SALAD had been ordered. We asked another server to go get her. The other server tells our server "hey your table is asking for you" and she raises her finger to the sever telling her "one more minute." Mind you she is not serving the people she is socializing with. We order our salad which is supposed to come before our entree especially since he got a pasta entree. When she comes we state we have been waiting 40 minutes for a salad and her response was "Well I did put your food order in" She then goes to the back and pops out with both the salad and the pasta. My dad states the salad is supposed to come before my meal?? what is happening to which she states that she can just bring the pasta in the back until he's done with the salad or he can just not eat at all. LIKE WHAT??? A manager had to take it off the ticket which is more disappointing that he did not take it upon himself to say I'm sorry or anything. THEN my sandwich and salad comes which makes me wonder why is my sandwich taking longer than a pasta dish. Unfortunately I did not trust for her to take my food in the back to box it herself since there was so much tension so I asked for a box. We got there at 6:30 and stayed until 8:30 to only get one drink - one app and one sandwich with salad. & my daughter got buttered noodles

Soft lighting and subdued music gave it an intimate feel. We decided to do an assortment of appetizers and desserts so we could try more things. We opted for 4 appetizers, the famous bread, a cup of a soup and two desserts with cappuccinos to complete our meal. You do have to pay for bread here, but trust me, you're going to want to. We got some red sauce to go with it, but we both personally preferred the bread without it. Next we got a cup of lobster bisque. The flavor was good , and there was a surprising heat to it, which honestly made me want to keep eating it. For appetizers, we ordered the seared ahi tuna, the eggplant stacks, the toasted ravioli and the beef manicotti. However, they were out of the manicotti so Joel suggested the seafood stuffed mushrooms, and I'm glad he did! I'm not a big mushroom fan, but I gladly ate these and would order them again. My complaint is that there are only three ... and I was sharing them. For dessert, we got the crème brûlée and the Italian brownie cake. The crème brûlée was perfection and the brownie cake was deliciously rich and satisfying. There are so many dishes that we want to try that we can't wait to go back!
