My favorite spot in Yonkers hands down. Very classy elegant place. Cocktails are mixed to perfection and they are very generous with their portions (you basically get two cocktails in one) their pasta is all made in house and scrumptious. But the star of the show is their oxtail. They have pretty regularly as a special and it's just to die for! Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants some quality fine dinning. read more

Really really good. We do lots of parties here always enjoyable. The food is really good and the service is OK the drinks are definitely tasty and the place is really clean. Ayed liked the chicken Parmesan with the spaghetti on the side. They offered us after dinner drinks on the house God bless America read more

We go to this very attractive restaurant quite often and are pleased with the food and service. One downside, when they have large parties, which seems often, the food for regular patrons suffers. (this happened this past Saturday and another occasion. read more

Although we've had a handful of parties (40+ people) at Zuppa's, we won't be coming back this year. We booked a date in September for a 45-50 person late lunch. About six weeks prior to the date, Zuppa double booked the room and Nando told us we couldn't have the party at Zuppa. We booked at the Dolphin instead and are looking around for a new place to have our annual party. Very disappointing because the food was always pretty good. read more

This is a great restaurant & addition to downtown Yonkers. My wife and I just went for lunch and had a great meal. We started with a nice glass of Malbec and Butternut squash soup and salad for our appetizers. The soup was very tasty and the salad was excellent served with some shaved parm on top. For our main dishes we shared the cavatelli & margarita pizza. If anything, the pizza could have stayed in the oven for another 5 minutes but it was still great. Overall a great experience. The service was excellent! read more

Great Italian restaurant in the middle of Ghetto Square!Drove up from Bridgeport,Ct for lunch on Tuesday afternoon.Valet parks your car. When you walk in this historic building you see brickwalls ,hard wood floors.long curtains. You think you are in a beautiful night club.Sat at the bar.Waiters are very professional. We started off with the fresh burrata appetizer drizzled with honey.Delicious, one of the best I have ever had.My friend had buccatini alla amatricana for his entrée.I had papparadelle with meat sauce, with a touch of mint. Both pasta,s were mouthwatering.Finished off great lunch with a couple of espresso,s.Service and ambiance were impeccable.Cant wait to bring my father. read more

Zuppa is the best. We had our wedding here and everything was perfect from the food to the drinks and service. The owners edi and Nando are great people. read more

The food is pretty good, but not great - but the prices are actually insulting to the intelligence. WAY overpriced. They charge you like it's Tavern on the Green, or something - but you're eating near Getty Square in Yonkers (which is a very unpleasant neighborhood), not Central Park. With a wonderful view of a dusty construction site. If I want to blow a hundred dollars on a meal, why would I go to "Ghetto Square" in Yonkers? read more

Abysmal service. Plain and simple. We were waited on by three to four different people throughout our meal so there were times where we were asked for our drink order 4 times and others where we waited thirty minutes (not an exaggeration) for our dessert. When we asked about our dessert, one of our waiters asked what we had ordered and when we told him he said that they didn't currently have it. So, the other guy took the order with a smile and thirty minutes later another one tells us they don't even have it? The restaurant is very nice looking as far as ambiance but the noise level was so high that not only couldn't we hear ourselves, our waiter(s) couldn't hear us as they got one of our orders wrong. Lastly, and I know this sounds nit-picky, but I have to mention how not user friendly their menu is. Between the font and the hashtags, it took us forever to make sense of it. Really wanted to like this place too. read more

We visited Zuppa with friends last night. The problems started with the wine. We ordered a Montepulciano, and when it arrived, it was a 2008. Now this is not a bottle from fine wine territory, but we had it poured. Then we smelled it... definitely off. They came back and offered us another bottle from the same case, which seemed a terrible idea, then got around to pouring a bottle of something else. Things stopped being normal when we got to the offer of another bottle of the same wine, but the fact that there was no apology, and really no dialogue about what should be done is not acceptable. The waiter was definitely over his head, and rather affectless. The appetizers, aranci for the other couple, "eggplant meatballs" for us, were terrible. The two appetizers were nearly indistinguishable, and our meatballs had no flavor of eggplant in them at all, just deep-fried mush. The menu selections are down in number from earlier visits, and, sadly, they have taken tartufo off of the dessert menu. The menu in Trip Advisor does not reflect the menu now on offer. That said, the main courses we ordered were just fine, but I won't go back. read more

My (2016) office Holiday party was held at Zuppa Restaurant and I must share with you that their service and food was GREAT! From day one Edi was very professional and helpful in assisting me organizing this event. During the event Edi, Nando and their team were very attentive and made everyone feel welcomed. Thanks to everyone at Zuppa's for making our Holiday party a joyful one. Many thanks-HR read more

Very nice place to go. Friendly staff, gorgeous decor, and valet parking. The last time I went to Zuppa I had to Nutella braised short ribs and they were incredible - not sweet at all. The wine list is legit and they make the best zeppolis I've ever had (get them with caramel, that sauce is awesome). My one criticism would be that they close too early but other than that I give this place 2 thumbs up. read more

We are fortunate to have the restaurant Zuppa available when visiting friends in Yonkers . The excellent menu doesn't skimp on flavor, variety of choices and quality of dining. It is something we look forward to when crossing the river! Perhaps we can persuade them to open a restaurant in northern Bergen county! read more

food was delicious and service was lovely and very attentive. was quite disappointed with the music selection though.

This restaurant serves up some serious good eats, Italian for sure but not your typical red sauce place. Try the chicken liver creme brulee, the grilled pulpo, burrata, for appetizers are all equally delicious.Great specials and wednesday pizza night when u can get your own almost custom made brick oven pizza for one (although it can easily be shared).Drinks are very well made and generous, bartenders friendly and engaging as are the managers Nado and Edi both of whom will go out of their way to make sure you have a great time at Zuppas. And dont forget the zeppoli for desert..Awesome! read more

Ok, where do I begin. First impression was a five (5), it all went down hill from there. Aperitif was well prepared and presented. Appetizer, not so much. We ordered Buratta and we received an extra hair with our order. Oh well, sent it back and second order appeared hair free. Arugula salad was fresh and had hints of citrus, my wife enjoyed the nuance greatly. Entrees arrived, Osso Bucco for me and a Squash Ravioli for my wife. Food was well prepared and presented. Owner/Manager on duty visited every table, except ours and one other. Not sure what selection criteria was, but I am accustomed to receiving a salutation from management, especially on first visits. Spoke to waiter about this and was presented with excuses. Judged on food alone an acceptable experience, add in the snub by management and the hair, well let's just say we are not making this our "go to" Sunday night dinner spot. read more

The food was exceptionally bland and the waitress was very very distracted. Appetizers were not served until *after* our main course at which point we were so turned off by food that tasted like it had been assembled not made from scratch. She would regularly offer something to one of us at the table but not the other (when we were sitting right across from each other, don't know how you manage that). The price is way high for what you get. This place Is horribly overrated. The one star is for the ambiance which is nice but we will definitely not be returning read more

it is nice and romantic. my wife and i did our engagement /graduation party there. the food and the churros are worth the wait.

Had a perfect meal here tonight. Wine to dessert

Excellent service and food quite busy for a wednesday nite we had grilled calamari app which was delicious i had salmon my husband had angus steak both perfect read more

All of the food was exceptional; truly delicious. It's great that they offer 3 oz tasting sizes on a wide array of wines, which makes it easy to try new things. I did and found a wine I'd never heard of before that I loved. Add in gracious service and lovely ambiance, and you've got a 5 star experience. read more

Went here last Saturday night. Place was busy with a party in the back room and most of the tables full. We were told we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. No problem, we had drinks at the bar, but noticed an empty table nearby that needed cleaning. After about 30 minutes, I asked the hostess how much longer we'd have to wait. She said they were just setting our table -- the same table that had been vacant for the entire time we'd been at the bar! We sat down, placed our order for appetizer and dinners shortly after. It took about 20 minutes for the appetizer to arrive. It was supposed to be jumbo shrimp with avocado. The shrimp were anything but jumbo, more like 21-30s, smaller than shrimp cocktail shrimp. They were extremely bland as well, tasting like simple boiled frozen shrimp. Not what we were expecting. After this, we ordered a round of drinks and waited for our dinners. And we waited, and waited, and waited. After 25 minutes we asked if dinner was coming and were told it was on its way. After 20 more minutes, we were starving, so we got up and asked a waiter for our check. He gave us the bill for everything we ordered, dinners and all, even though we still hadn't been served! I told him to take the dinners off. The manager came over and told us that he was sorry for the wait, that they had a party going on and our food was almost ready. We declined, having waited for over an hour. He took our dinners off the check and also comped our 2 drinks. We paid the balance and walked out. I was completely amazed at how poor the service was this night, and though there was a party in the back, I can't believe that the kitchen couldn't make our 2 dinners in a reasonable amount of time and that our waiter was so busy he seemed to have forgotten about us. read more

Simply, amazing. Typically a business dinner destination and on expense account. This last visit was lunch with the wife and on a coupon meal. Where do I start; food was great, large portions and well crafted ... but, what was incredibly memorable was the service and young manager. Was made to feel like a regular, no compromise on the food or service because of the use of the coupon and just straight 5 star experience.... Great great restaurant and people .. read more

This is a great place to go if you are going out with a few friends. They have a nice bar area where you can sit and have a nice leisurely drink before you go back to your table. We went as a group of 8 for a celebratory dinner. I found the service good and the value for what you get to be more than fair. We had a wide variety of food being we were decent sized table and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Two of the guys had pork chops that they said were the best they ever had. The wine list was good. They had a nice selection of quality, moderately priced wines with a couple high end ones if you feel like splurging. I will go back... read more

I have been a regular, though not frequent, patron of this restaurant since they opened in downtown Yonkers some years back. I was there last night and was again impressed by how well designed and well run it is. The ambience is elegant yet very comfortable and unpretentious. Tables are well spaced; no crowding or being a captive audience to your neighbors' conversation. You can speak in a normal volume here--no shouting required. The food and service are consistently spot on and it attracts a very nice crowd. Keep up the great work! read more

Amazing. Friendly, knowledgable staff. Food was great, and so were the drinks. What really made the whole experience was the bartender. Tried Zuppa for the first time and I will definitely be returning. Staff was very kind, friendly and attentive. The food was also amazing...brick oven pizza to start is a good choice, or even their many app choices (my friends got calamari, burrata and bone marrow and they too loved theirs). Entrees were the perfect portions, not too small nor too filling, which left room for dessert. I got the deconstructed cannolo and as a Nutella lover, it was the perfect way to end a delicious meal. Will be returning soon:) read more

I had my rehearsal dinner on a Friday night at Zuppa's and it was one of the best find in Yonkers. Nando and his staff were beyond amazing. They were so welcoming and warm. Zuppa has valet parking for their diners which helps tremendously. We had a couple of tables in the back in the main dinning room. If you have a larger party they have a private room. I think this location is perfect for bridal showers, baby shower or any special occasion celebration. The food was amazing. From their appetizers to their amazing tiramisu. We had their salmon and steak. Our bridal party, family and friends could not stop raving about how amazing the food was and till this day they said that was one of their best meal and dessert that they have had. My mom who is hard to please loveddddd Zuppa! We loved Zuppa so much it was a struggle to get me in my wedding dress the next day hahaha What touch our heart was that they packed meals for my family members who could not make it to the dinner because they had escaped a hurricane from the south. We brought the box of the packaged meals to their hotel. They were so grateful and happy after driving for hours to NY. It was an absolute fabulous dining experience. read more
