The sauce was good and plenty. It was not greasy, sour or sweet. Their buffalo wings were nice and crispy! It was on the small side. The buffalo sauce was perfect to go with the wings. The chicken tenders were perfectly fried. It was tender. And the fries were extremely hot! Loved if! The sausage and peppers sandwich was good.-The roll was soft and warm. The sausage and peppers were good. I wish they would just sauté the peppers and onions and not add any sauce. Overall it was pretty good. Service was good and decent amount of draft beer selections. If you're looking for a very casual environment along with some good food, this is definitely a spot to try. It's a no-frills dive bar, but they are serving up some delicious eats and it's a pretty lively bar . They have a variety of different pizzas, which is what most people come for, but they have a large menu of other items to try the French onion soup is delicious along their wings. Thinking about this place as a neighborhood tavern/dive bar/ sports pub, it does just what you are looking for. We came in to watch the football game and when we arrived there were just a few people, but throughout the game and heading into dinner hours it filled up quite a bit. They also seemed to be doing a very brisk business in takeout food. Everyone in our group enjoyed their wings. We had the dry rubbed Cajun, buffalo and their signature norty flavor. All were good with the norty edging out the other two in flavor. We also tried two of the different flavors of pizzas that they had (plain and Roza Rita). They were both pretty good for bar pies. I have been coming here for many years. Its basically a no thrills bar and grill with inexpensive food and drinks. They have a jukebox and typically play music in the background (a little too soft in my opinion). My last visit here was not so good though. Bartender on Tuesday night charged me for 5 beers initially when I only had 3. I understand mistakes can be made, but he was not pleasant with me at all when I corrected him. He did make it right and fixed the error. I just hope it wasn't intentional. Not sure if I will return any time soon after this incident. read more

If you're looking to get a cheap meal with pub style food that's good, with decent drinks, then Zupko's is your place.. Wings, quesadillas, loaded fries,thin crust pizza,burgers, buckets of beer, or pitchers of sangria. Due to Covid all seating is done outside. In the back parking lot. There is a huge tent with tables and chairs and that's the smoking section. On the side of the building there's more tables and chairs and that's the non-smoking section. The staff is very friendly and attentive . They all wear masks, and there's a free standing hand sanitizer machine for anyone to use. Even the bathroom has one way in door, and one way out door that leads you back outside! There is parking in the back. As for right now the inside is closed and the movie theater is closed. I started with a pitcher of the white sangria. It's a bit on the sweeter side then the red sangria but very tasty. For my entrée I chose their cheesesteak, instead of fries I got a salad. My cheesesteak was delicious. It came on a soft style sub roll with American Cheese, Onions, Peppers and Mushrooms all melted together. My side salad was a nice size. The lettuce was crisp, it had tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, and shredded carrots, and black olives. I only ate half because I was full and took home the other half. My friend ordered the garlic, Parmesan wings. They topped them with fresh parmesan. The wings were hot and delicious. They were served with blue cheese dipping sauce, carrots and celery.My friend throughly enjoyed them. I did not order dessert. Once they reopen inside they will have music again. read more

We order from here whenever my parents come up from Myrtle Beach. They love NJ pizza, but even more so, tavern pizza holds a special place for the many who know. Recently though, we ordered the chicken wings and we were glad we did. There were 6 available sauces and the wings can be ordered in quantities of 6 and 12, then it gets into trays. This place has been here for quite some time and is respected by the locals, returned to by people like me, and they have a nice size bar to enjoy a cold beer or cocktail alone or with friends...no one is judging. "I'm sorry." Here's the context. Sat on the phone for literally 19 minutes on hold until I was hung up on as the person picking up our order asked about the order I 'placed.' Here's the brief conversation that accounts for the 12 additional seconds of the call... Me: Hi I'd like to place an order for pick up. Employee: Alright. Mind holding for me a minute. Me: Sure, take your time. This was the last we spoke until I literally came down myself. As a town local whose been watching movies here since before I can even remember and being a consistent customer at the bar and kitchen in my adult years this is just sad. The worst. Is being expected to empathize with an "I'm sorry I'm the only one covering the floor." This is after I cleared off all the snow from my car and drove over there. Waited for a few minutes and then asked the lady what happened. No attempt to resolve the situation, just a, look at the situation I have going on here... Get some customer service training for your people or have someone in the back be a floater on the phone calls if you're understaffed. The food was great. Service a little slow, but during these times it's expected. My complaint...you cannot smoke at the tables now which is fine. However, the crowd in the back, where smoking is allowed, that I had to take my family through was disgraceful (not Zupkos music). The music rap music, omg the verbiage and the pot smell was horrid. Very sparse on the toppings and the cheese was on the bottom instead of on the top. It was among the worst pizzas we have ever tried. Saturday night at 9, me and wife wife (mid-30s) out on the town. Pub sounded good and the photos of the food here looked good so off we went. Right away I was turned off by the frat party scene out back in the smoking section. I ignored that and headed inside. DJ booth set up right when you walk in, but it looked temporary and sounded like crap. Think buddy wants to be a DJ and buys a "my-first-DJ setup."Booths for food were dirty and too close to the DJ to be comfortable- no one was sitting there. The inside just looked old and dirty. I run to the bathroom and let wife take care of the beers. Selection was all domestic. Crowd here was mostly under 30. Pool table in the back. Bathroom was a mess. Came out and wife had not been served. Took one look at her and we left. Not missing anything never going here. read more

Zupkos Tavern in Dunellen is my favorite pizza place in the world. I don't care what they say Pizza reviews but zupkos has the best. It's thin crust it the sauce is not bitter it's just delicious my sister and I polish off a whole pie by ourselves. We recently tried their wings and it was very good too. If you're just like to get drunk they have cosmopolitan's that are good. I don't drink but I saw some drunk drinking at saw he was wasted so it must be good. They have a variety of foods you can get there. Their service is good and the waiters and waitresses are friendly. They have lots of sports on the TV if you're a sports fan if you're not oh well.
