The staff at this Zumiez was so impressive and helpful. They engaged us from the start but never pressured. Our teenager was looking for some shorts and they helped him find styles, sizes and brands. They even showed him the website inventory. Every member of staff was super friendly and nice, even to a couple middle aged fogies like my husband and I. Great shopping experience, all around! read more

super friendly staff! I typically do all my shopping online when it comes to shopping for gifts because I never have anytime but today I decided to physically visit stores in search of the perfect top for my nieces. Staff are very friendly and of course, Zumiez carries brands such as Champion and other trendy clothing pieces. It's very nicely folded and they offer a large selection of items as their store is fairly small. They do have - changing rooms - skate boards towards the back of the store! read more

Asian kid was super condescending for no reason. Simply asked if he had a size M on a shirt with an Integra (car) and he asked what I drove. When I told him what I drive he started yelling in a condensing manner about my car? It was unnecessary and immature. read more

My brother and I went in looking for some t-shirts. We were approached by Jimmy and had a great experience with his assistance. WHAT? Ok...I have no business being in this store since I am too effing old for any fashion what-so-evAr in this place, but...I just HAD to get the shirt with the giant deer head plastered on the front wearing a red plaid hunters hat for my son. And I agree with Lam's review...the service here was pretty good. We had three people ask us if we needed help. But, WHAT?? the music was so loud, even the youngin's behind the register were "WHAT"ing each other because they couldn't hear one another. I hate to sound like MY father, but "TURN THAT EFFING MUSIC DOWN WILL YA?" what? read more

Went into Zumiez store just to look around.. cashier was just standing there talking to another girl across the counter, ( i dont know if she also worked there or not) , she was on her phone and didnt even greet us in. A couple minutes after I started looking through folded shirts to see designs on back of tees etc. the cashier decided to actually start doing her job. She came up to me and asked if i was looking for anything specific. I simply responded with a no, i was just looking around. She then stood there the entire time next to me while im just trying to look through the tees asking me every couple seconds if im looking for anything specific. She then states its because im messing up all her tees and if Im looking for something specific let her know so she could grab it for me. I couldnt even shop in peace it was like she was breathing down my neck. I will never shop in this store again and Management really need to look into hiring a new crew. Girl was a blonde, about 5'4, 5'5 . She should be fired. read more

one of the worst stores i've ever been to, will never shop at this zumiez ever again. customer service went down when new staff came in, and store manager was very rude. the employees don't even know what they're selling i had to show them/tell them the things that i wanted. read more

Meeeeh.... This one seems to have gone down hill. They used to have a bunch of girl clothes, but those seem to have been tucked away somewhere because I hardly saw any. Apparently its turned to an almost all guys store. Thats fine....whatev's! There was only one person working there which was nice because I hate when people are constantly asking if I need help. Thanks for asking, but if I need help, Ill make sure to ask one of the other 5 people who have asked before you! The music here is alwaaaaaaays loud, but this time, I actually didnt mind. I kinda liked the song that was playing. HOWEVERRRRRRRRRRR..... I dont know what it is, but every single time I try and buy something, it takes like 10 minutes to purchase one little shirt. I dont know if its the people who cant hear because they are in a store that blares music for 8 hours a day or the computer system is just S L O W....but you think they would fix that. Might be better to just shop online! read more

THEY STOLE MY CARD INFORMATION! Stay away from this store as one of the employees stole my credit card information and then purchased clothing online with MY card!! Went in to exchange my shoes that I ordered online and they asked me for my information and then the next day at 4:30 I'm the morning my bank sends me a notification that my card has been "compromised" and it's no coincidence that after I'm told to give my information for the exchange at Zumiez and then my card is being used the next day? My receipt has the Cashiers code/login for their register and the cashiers code is SM1274. Some girl with rose tattoos on her left arm was the one ringing me out. My card had a charge of over $600 of just them trying to buy stuff with my card. Stealing $500 worth of merchandise from a store is a felony. Now card fraud and attempting to purchases over $600 worth of merchandise with my card?!? I want justice. read more

I was looking all over the South Bay for a beanie that wasn't Made in China. Several hours into my scavenger hunt, I finally found a brand called Carhartt in Zumiez that was American-made, and the price was right. I was happy to find the brand, but I was even happier with Samantha's customer service. I went into the store and Samantha greeted me with a smile. I told her what I was looking for, and she showed me the selection rack. I picked a design I liked and asked to see all the color combinations of that design. Samantha went to the back room, found all the iterations of that design, and showed them to me. As I was deciding, she helped several other customers with the same cheerful enthusiasm. After I chose the beanie I wanted, she asked my name and shook my hand. That just goes to show that good fortune and happiness will come to the home of those who smile! read more

Great customer service!! Awesome New Team! Thanks Myles and Alonso for your great customer service!

I went in a couple weeks ago to get some shirts and some pants. A girl with red hair had her customer service on lock. I'm not sure if she was a manager or just working there. She showed me where all the pants were and that there was a sale going on while helping everyone else in the store. The staff seemed really helpful and the store was packed, overall Oakridge is a pretty great mall. read more

If I could give this store -1 star I WOULD! My bf and I were in there returning a gift we had received. We never shop here so we did not know what to expect ... first the music is WAY WAY too loud! Geez, i felt like we had to scream to be heard. Lame.. but my biggest complaint is the service or shall I say lack of. I can only speak for two of the employees there. One was a young girl who I did not get her name but she was rude and not helpful and a little condescending .. the other says his name is Wilson ( I will find out if he gave me his correct name) he was COMPLETELY unprofessional and EXTREMELY immature. As he was pulling the items we were returning out of our bag, he starts YELLING to some guy doing stock on a ladder something about our stuff and it needing to be sent out with their run?? i have no idea but the point is he YELLED each time and it was super annoying... we have a gift recipt. he scans everything on our reciept then YELLS again over to that rude girl and asks if the items we were returning were sale items back around xmas time.. WE HAVE A GIFT RECIEPT so that should explain how much the gift was bought for, no? Anyway, she comes up and asks wilson what does it say on the receipt... he then answers her with " If I had that info why would I be asking you?" WOW... now that is a professional reponse to have in front of your customers and completely unacceptable to speak to another employee like that. After questioning their return policy we decided to take our items back with us and speak to a higher up b/c these KIDS were no help and EXTREMELY rude. when I asked for his managers name and number he says " really? i dont know why you are gonna call her. She will tell you the same thing I just told you. I am the 2nd assistant mgr but whatever" I looked at my bf and I said, " did he really just speak to me like that" we both left fuming pissed! I am NOT a teeny bopper.. I am a grown adult in my early 30's and I EXPECT to be treated as such no matter where I shop! I dont care if you are 18, 28, 58, etc... you treat people esp YOUR CUSTOMERS with repect and professionalism. Something this store lacks tremendously! I highly suggest that Zumiez retrain their young immature staff to have manners and be more professional. They act like a bunch of highschoolers.. read more

Every time I come into a zumiez I always get poor service and to be honest I'm never that customer that complains I'm always super friendly to employees because I work in retail as well , but for someone to be rude to me when I'm nice to them is disappointing. Service is horrible, I agree with what the other person said, about supporting your local skate shop. Never ask any of the employees for advice because it is pretty clear they know absolutely nothing about skateboarding. Mainland is right next door to this place, they probably know more than the idiots at Zumiez. Never purchase skateboarding products here, or ask them what to buy. If your new to skateboarding, and you wanna get tricked into buying 60 dollar bearings, Zumiez is for you. If you wanna save some money and get a good opinion, your better off going to Mainland or Vans read more

I just want to say that the girl that helped me a couple weeks ago was amazing!! I believe she is the store manager or assistant manager. Not quite sure if her name was Stephanie but she was very helpful with helping me look up a new jacket I was looking for because the only one they had left in a size small wasn't to my perfection. And since I was going to be paying a lot for it I didn't want to just buy that one. She offered a discount and when I told her I really wanted one in new condition she didn't hesitate, was nothing but professional, and on her own called two other locations to see if they had it in stock and placed one on hold for me. Even though I came from work and it looked like I didn't belong in that store because I wasn't wearing my normal clothes she didn't make me feel any less than and I appreciated that. It took a while to help me out and she was so patient and never made me feel hurried. She even shook my hand an introduced herself as I left. That is what I called above and beyond customer service. read more

I always trust Zumiez with my hardware and questions ever since I was little . I came in the other day needing help with some wheels and without question, Marty was working to get the bearings unstuck for me. My girlfriend and I walked in today looking for some new clothing to take to our trip to Reno this month. Because I saw a Dragonball Z shirt I liked at Mainland, but did not end up getting because the sizes were to big, I figured, let's try Zumiez. Little did I know that I would end up regretting it. I was looking at the clearance section for some sweaters and my gf walks up to me to show me a yellow Dragonball Z shirt, I didn't like it because it was short sleeved and I specifically wanted a long sleeve, nevertheless my gf walked away to put it back. My gf then came a 2nd time to show me a white shirt with the print of a Chucky doll sitting on a pile of weed, I chuckled and my gf put it back . Since we didn't find anything we were heading out the door when an employee (Female) told us "Did you guys find everything okay?" I say, "Yes thank you" , she then said "Did you guys like the Dragonball Z shirts?", I responded, "Yea but we were just looking thanks." At first I was like COOL! She actually cares about her customers but then.. She directs her attention to my gf and says "I have some more cool ones in the back? Do you want to see? They are just right over in the back" . My gf and I again declined. She continues to direct her attention to my gf and asks her "Okay cool that's fine, do you want to show me wear you left it?" Once I heard that come out of her mouth I already knew what was going. My gf says, "Uhm. I put it back." The employee practically cuts her off says, "The white dragonball a shirt, it was right there (as she points her finger behind a few racks of clothes)". My gf says , "Are you saying I..." and that's when I interrupted my gf and took over from there. I asked the employee "Are you trying to say my gf is stealing?" She responded, "No that's not what I'm saying." I then said frustrated, "She put everything back, and also, she DID NOT show me or pick up a WHITE DRAGONBALL Z SHIRT, she showed me and picked up a WHITE CHUCKY DOLL SHIRT. Do you need to search her?" Once I said this she looked pretty confused because I can assure you that at this moment she knew she had made a mistake. The employee said, "No I dont need to search her just show me where you put it." At this point my gf said, "Don't you have cameras? Check them first before you accuse me" and that's when we walked out and we walked out with our integrity. Honestly I felt so disrespected as an individual and as a consumer. My gf was a store manager for 10 year at Footlocker up until 2016 before she became a car saleswoman and I was an assistant manager for Champs for 3 years up until 2017 until I became a RN. Never ever was I at all trained to approach any suspects in the store this way. Obviously we are trained to keep a look out and we are trained to run bases, cover our blindspot, if there are big groups coming in and they spread out make sure to keep an eye on them discretely but this lady just made our experience super uncomfortable. If she wanted to search our ONE tiny shopping bag from Lids before we stepped out that would not have been an issue. It's the fact that she demanded my gf to show her where she put back a shirt she didn't even grab! And when my gf told her she put everything she showed me back , she subliminally called my gf a liar because she said "No it was right there". Honestly, I hate to say this but this happens a lot to my gf and I and it sucks because it almost feels discriminatory. For one, we are a lesbian couple and second, we have our sleeves tattooed. I really wasn't expecting to receive this kind of treatment at Zumiez, literally it was our 2nd time being in a Zumiez store. Never again after today. Its just another store we will not be supporting. The employee, I didn't get her name but today she was wearing glasses, blue Jean's and I think it was a semi-light green bodysuit with her hair up. Please get retrained, I would hate for you to do this again to someone else. I'll wait for the probable cause you had to talk to my gf that way and for insinuating such a thing...wait there is none, because my gf and I stole nothing. read more

went here to only notice the lady who was working there was trying to pick up on my boyfriend! i thought it was funny but so unprofessional

Wow, I'm shocked at the negative remarks others wrote about this place. I had a GREAT experience here on my last visit. I bought a complete (skateboard, trucks, wheels, etc.) package, and the customer service was remarkable! Daisy was helpful, patient and nice. She was kind enough to find the specific brands and sizes I requested over the phone and kept them on hold for me. I showed up in store shortly before closing, yet she didn't seem to mind my late arrival at all. She even took time to put the grip tape on my board even though they were closing very soon. Not to mention she gripped it like a pro! :) Aside from the exceptional service, this is one of the cleanest and organized stores in the franchise. (some other locations are plain filthy!) As a former employee of Zumiez Inc. I was very impressed with this particular store. I'd highly recommend a visit. read more

I was dreading going to the mall the day before Christmas, but was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and helpful the staff were, and how organized and clean the store was! It made my trip so much easier and I walked out with an awesome gift my cousin LOVED! (She was like "Oowh, it's from Zumiez!! :)" She was looking for warm skate gear for the winter and one of the staff ,Peter, helped me find the perfect hooded thick and sturdy maroon flannel. I go to Zumiez because I know the quality is good and will last. The staff at Oakridge were so incredibly helpful, I had to get their names and give them a well-deserved review (I rarely do these, it's probably my 2nd one). Marty the manager is very approachable and supportive of his team, he and Dylan on the register were so patient keeping an awesome and friendly attitude as customers were in line and during transactions helping to answer questions on the side as well, and Peter was busy tidying up around the store while I was browsing for a gift checking in if I needed help and helping me pick out the perfect gift- I felt very comfortable there and not pressured. Super chill, helpful, and professional staff, and great quality products (where I went also before to buy Thrasher gear for a cousin- hard to find elsewhere). Very happy with my visit! read more

I am not old, I am not young, I am just right for this shop!! I have two kids, one is an 8 year old boy who found a sweatshirt at another store and this was the only place left that had one similar. Unfortunately, it wasn't the exact one we were looking for but it was close enough. After driving around the mall parking lot for 15 minutes on a Friday afternoon, I was willing to take what I could get but the salesperson who helped me couldn't have been more accomodating, offering to call another store, check the website, anything to help me get what I was actually looking for. When he found it on the website, he made it so easy for me to purchase the item in store, and have it shipped to the store for pick up. The other option was to have it delivered to my house but the mall is close enough for me to make the trip back to save on shipping. I was through the ordering process and paid and out the door in less than 10 minutes. If you're looking for a hard-to-find item and Zumiez carries it, I recommend this store above all other skater/board shops. read more

I just got back from Zumiez and I got nothing but great things to say about Matt. It is saturday afternoon the store is busy and he is the only guy there. Now most reviews from this point talk about how bad the service is and...well you know. Well nothing could be further from the truth. My son and I went into the store looking for a skateboard and Matt in the midst of helping other people helped us and gave us great customer service. See my son did not picked a skateboard already put together. He picked all the parts because he wanted to built it himself! Matt was very helpful through the whole process. At the end Matt offered to built the skateboard which he did. He still made time to help other people and keep the store in order. Not once did he complained about being at the store alone. I have been to other stores where sales people are in the same position as Matt was this afternoon and it goes from bad to worst. This guy took a crazy afternoon at his store and made it in to a great experience for my son and I. Matt is a true example of great customer service and a true professional. We will be shopping here again soon. And no I am not related to Matt nor is he my friend... :-) read more
