Have been here multiple times, and it's been great. Sadly this Sunday everything was terrifying! The service took forever when me and my girlfriend were only the second people there. Secondly found a hair in my smoothie, Thirdly no ice, fourth hash browns are turned into Jojo's, #5 biscuits and gravy ratio way off unless you enjoy dry biscuits, #6 messed up my bill and then choose to up charge me and not even do it correctly. Zoe's used to be one of my favorite coffee shops but since they moved to their new location the food has gone down in quality and the prices have increased to outrageous amounts. Zoe's used to be a cool coffee shop with delicious coffee, good food and a chill environment to study, it's turned into a pretentious diner that tries and fails to look "fancy". Not to mention, never go there when there's big groups of people , they'll simply neglect you completely and just stick with the big groups. Apparently Zoe's is now in Tam's old place, because all the signage still says Tam's, but the menu says Zoe. My kids and I ate there for dinner and found it confusing and unimpressive. There are no kids options on the menu and we had to pay for full size, full price meals for my little ones. While the menu sounded fun, the execution was uninspiring - I'm not sure what, if anything was made from fresh. Indeed, the store-bought sesame buns were dry and boring. Zoe's has always been the place to study since I started at WSU. They have the best drinks and food! I was so sad when they moved locations but they are just as great as ever in their new spot! I'm an alum now but every time I'm back in town I make it a point to come and grab a drink and a bagel sandwich. read more

They do a nice job for Pullman on the food, but they have to figure out how to speed up service. It took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The owner walks around and makes eye contact but acts like customers aren't pissed because of the wait and doesn't address it or apologize. The wait was really long to be seated, even when there were empty seats, so they've got to get the front of the house fixed. Not sure I can do more than one more poor experience like that. read more

SLOW SERVICE. The food is adequate, basic diner food. The servings are large which is nice if you want to share a plate with someone and the coffee is good. Prices are fair. HOWEVER, the service is slow, slow, SLOW. If you want or need quick service, this is NOT your place. The people at the table next to us got up and left before they placed an order because the waiter was so slow getting to them (overheard their conversation). We were frustrated too. Went there today and got the biscuits and gravy and my girlfriend got the eggs Benedict and it took over an hour to get our food to us. When we got there, it was pretty packed but it slowed down pretty significantly after a while. I work in restaurants and understand the flow of service, but I know for sure it does not take that long to fry an egg and put gravy on a biscuit. The host was very helpful and apologetic, and our server seemed to feel pretty bad, but the manager seemed to not care all that much since he made us pay full price for everything. I'm not a person that demands discounts or even seeks them out, but I am aware of what good service is. I have been here before and I am sure that this was an isolated incident, but it was handled quite poorly by management. read more

Breakfast was good but slow in coming. A little too much butter was used making the food greasy. Service was a little slow but there was only one person waiting tables. He never let my coffee cup go empty. It definitely is a good place to eat but very busy with limited parking. Allow yourself plenty of time. read more

The food was fantastic here, I got the Santa Clara with a veggie patty and the beer was good. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars was because of slow service. We waited 30 minutes to be seated when they had several open tables then about 10 minutes for the server to come to us. That said I would go here again. read more

Came here for a quick dinner while visiting WSU. The service was quick but friendly, and food was delicious!! The BLT had a ton of perfect bacon on it and our cranberry feta salad was great too. My husband and I (attempted) to have lunch there yesterday. We didn't go until 1:30 (to avoid the 'rush'). There were people at 4 other tables, we being the 5th. The waitress was very friendly when we first came in, brought us menus and water, took my husband's drink order (I didn't order anything), brought it right away, but unfortunately that is were the service ended. It only took us a couple of minutes to decide what we wanted and then we just sat there, and waited, and waited. The waitress NEVER came back. She served the table across from us, had a several minute conversation with them about where she was from, what she was studying, etc (was literally like 10 feet from us, but had her back to us). Finally stopped talking to them and I'm thinking 'well ok now she will take our order'. Nope, went to another table that had already been served (presumably to see if they wanted anything else). Then went back to the counter and had a conversation with the 2 employees there (who, by the way, were also obviously oblivious to the fact that we came to the restaurant to actually ORDER food, since they also ignored us). The waitress came back out to the floor and I was thinking 'well, finally, now she will come back and take our order'. Nope, she went back to the table she was having the conversation with before. By this time we had been in the restaurant (that was almost empty) probably 20 minutes, my lunch hour was almost half over and hadn't even ordered yet, not because they were busy, which I could have understood, but because we were just ignored, my husband is a painter so starts works early, was done for the day and was really hungry, so he was livid, we just decided to leave. I went up to the counter and asked how much for the soda because we weren't going to wait any longer. They seriously seemed surprised by that. My husband and I had the cod with shrimp, and it was delicious--the fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly, with delicious mashed potatoes and garlic sautéed broccolini, yummy!! The food was good, service was sub par but oh well, what really got me was their secret prices for alcohol. I made the mistake of assuming the price of something (in this case: a pitcher of mimosas). Since after all they probably use cheap Champaign (roughly $7-10 a bottle) and orange juice ($3 a jug) so I was expecting a $15-$20 tab (there were four 16oz servings). Total bill for a half bottle of Champaign and orange juice=$30.... Don't drink here... When confronting the manager about the ridiculous price, he just laughed and took my money. Again the food is good, service is tolerable, management from what I dealt with is greedy, and their unlisted alcohol prices are outrageous. read more

DO NOT come here on a football weekend. Our "20 minute wait" turned into 2 hours and 15 minutes before we had eaten and paid. During our wait we watched the hostess flail at the counter trying to figure out where the manager had asked her to seat people. We also watched her seat a group that was clearly her friends who came in and were seated and served right away. 8 bar stools were open at the bar and we repeatedly asked to sit there and were continually told "Ughhh, lemme ask" and she never asked anyone. After 45 minutes we were seated (shockingly) at those stools that had been open since we arrived. We ordered immediately and then waited another 45+ minutes for our food. The food was soooo slow to come out because in between making orders for this packed restaurant, the kitchen was cranking out to go orders for a constant stream of hungover students and three football players. (Ok, maybe only let the football boys get brunch to go...)If they stopped to go orders this place would run so much better. Also, if they hired an assertive and experienced seating hostess to work busy weekends things would be much more efficient, which in turn would earn more money for this business. Thank goodness the coffee was great! And you can't really mess up pancakes. read more

I showed up to Zoe's with high hopes, while I was also a little short on time. I figured we had enough time to get some breakfast, and if it took a little longer than we expected it would have been understandable. This was much longer than we planned. It didn't take long for them to take our order, but after ordering we waited for our food... And waited... And waited. We watched as multiple groups came in, got their food, ate, got their tab and left and we were still yet to get our food. Finally we were told that our order had been lost and that they were working on it(how it took 45 minutes to realize our order was lost while still serving tables that came in after us is still is beyond me). They finally brought out our food after about an hour and the order was very messed up. The eggs were not done nearly the way we wanted them(getting runny eggs instead of scrambled), and they forgot a couple of our sides. After an hour and a half and a rushed meal, we got our tab and I asked to speak to the manager. He was extremely rude and defensive when talking about our experience, blaming it on how busy it was (although other people were out of there in no time as we watched). He acted very childish and it made a bad situation worse. I don't plan on going back to Zoe's again, I'd rather make my own breakfast. read more
