So I thought what a steal, must purchase duhhh! But then I came to Yelp, and no review was found :( However, I was blown away!! & now I can be the first to review. D & S Holistic center is literally a hidden gem. From the outside, it just looks like a business center, the mysterious type that you can only see your reflection instead of the inside. I went in though and it looked like a doctor's office. Nice welcoming green couch and some chairs and a square window to talk to the employees through on the other side. I caught the director/owner there. His name is Delfi Monteagudo and he specializes in chiropractic treatment, acupuncture, massage therapy and nutrition. So this is not your run of the mill spa. They actually know what they're doing. He was so nice and gave me some pamphlets. They even hold seminars and workshops to teach on aromatherapy, Ayurveda, diets, herbs, etc. Mari, my massage therapists, came out after I had filled in some paperwork to make sure I had no alergies to oils and to find out what areas she needed to concentrate on. She took me into a room that was so nice. Dim lighting, comfortable massaging table with that little circle thing to put your head on. She gave me privacy to undress and once I was ready to go, she knocked and came in. She asked me through out the whole process, if the pressure was okay. She put on some background relaxing music, put some oil on her hands, and got to work. She massaged my neck, my back, my sides, then she went on to my legs and side buttox (hehe) and my feet. My favorite part was when she put these steaming hot towels on my back and pressed down and then rubbed off the oil. So good. The hole in the head pillow stand thingy (sorry for my lack on knowledge on this term lol) was probably a bad idea because I can guarantee I was drooling through my hour massage. Nevertheless, my hour was up and I got quickly dressed to rush to work. I've been in a trance ever since. So calm, and serene (which was the name of my room btw!). They have different tipes of massages ranging from Swedish Aromatherapy, Deep Muscular, Warm Stone, Reflexology, Thia, Shiatsu, etc. An hour message runs at about $100 and an hour and a half at $129. I recommend this place to everyone. The location and staff were so nice. I couldn't have asked for a better deal, and I still have one more massage left haha. Don't be jealous@!

Imagine that feeling for ONE FULL HOUR!! My friend went recently and recommended the In The Mood For Korean Scalp Massage. This service includes: a scalp analysis, deep scalp massage, Gua Sha comb massage, customized mask, steam mist treatment, organic growth-stimulating hair bath, conditioning treatment, and growth scalp treatment. My tech, Catalina was so nice. The scalp analysis is the first thing you start with, and let me tell you mine was quite alarming. I suffer from thinning hair and it was really interesting to see the health of my scalp and have them explain it to me. Now, onto the good stuff. You lay on a heated table and are covered in a blanket. Then they cover your eyes and proceed to start the best scalp massage ever. From what I can remember (because I fell asleep) they use three different tools to massage your scalp as well as give a conditioning treatment. The one thing I found odd was that the treatment doesn't come with a blow dry, I guess because heated tools are not the best for your scalp. However, they do have Shark tools and nice hair products in their bathroom for you to blow dry your hair on your own. The spa is beautiful, and on the smaller side with a private room for massages and then a curtained area for the head massages. My treatment was $150 and I believe worth every penny. My hair still looks amazing two days later! They offer facials and lymphatic massages as well. The salon itself is a bit hard to find, it's on the second floor of the portfolio salon. You'll walk thru the salon and go upstairs to enter the Mood Wellness Spa. It's located on Miracle Mile close to the Carrot Express. While my technician spoke spanish to me, the staff speaks both english and Spanish. You can book the service online, but if you want to book an appointment at the same time as a friend it was super easy to call to get that set up. I loved my experience and would definitely be back.

The First Lady was a sweetheart, she has great conversation and is funny as she does your face. The cryogenic facial is beside 10 minutes of cold nitrogen being put over your face, which feels really nice in the Floridian summer. The second time I showed up it was the manager on shift. She gave me a hard time using my gift voucher since "I was already a customer", never had this issue before with any other merchant. This was after the person who gave the gift called the place to make sure this was ok. She was rude to put it nicely and if I ever do decide to go back I wouldn't want it to be with her.

My cousin had…read moregotten me a Groupon deal for a 60-minute massage during the Holidays, which was perfect because my body had been aching really badly. Upon arriving, I found parking easily. I took the stairs to the second floor and went to the suite. When I entered the office, the owner, Alex, and a staff member greeted me right away. They had me fill out a form for my basic information. Then Alex asked me what kind of massage I wanted (deep-tissue, stretching, areas to concentrate on, any pains, etc.) and if I wanted to use the restroom before we started. I didn't have a preference for the gender of the masseuse, so Alex did my massage. He showed me the room and it was pretty cozy. The massage bed was heated and wow! It felt amazing already! After taking off my clothes (except undergarment), I laid on the bed under the covers face down. Then Alex knocked and came in, and confirmed what to work on in the 60 minutes. He started with my back and neck and worked his way to arms/hands, legs/feet, and then put hot towels on my back. It felt awesome. I thought the massage was finished but Alex instructed me to turn over, so I was like--wow, the massage was so good that I thought it was done already. He did stretches, physical therapy moves, massaged my collar bone areas (my first time), and asked me how the pressure was throughout the session. He was very professional, respectful, and passionate. You can tell that he was good because he pinpointed where my pains were and asked if what he was doing was helping to relieve the areas. At the end of the session, Alex thanked me and told me to take my time in the room and he will be at the front. When I went to the front after getting dressed, he gave me a bottled water and asked me how I felt, if the pains are still there, and what did I think of the massage. He said he is the owner and told me about the specials they are having if I wanted to go back. He was not pushy at all and was respectful. His English was not great but he really tried and we were able to communicate anyways. The plaza itself is kind of dingy but the massage place is fine in my opinion. It's truly a gem in Miami. The restroom isn't very appealing design-wise but it is functional. I would recommend this business, as the service itself was great and parking is free. You can really tell that the owner really cares and wants the best for his clients. I would definitely come back again.
