There's never a doubt that I'm getting a pizza when we go to zio's in my opinion it's the best in the area. Not to say I don't enjoy some other options in the area but this is my go to. The sauce and cheese are perfect. The dough is top notch and baked to perfection. My family loves many other options from pasta, meatballs, steak fries, wings and mozzarella sticks. Absolutely don't recommend this place. We stopped going there for couple years because of service and food gave it another try. Worst mistake never they got my order wrong and the even admitted it and when I asked for refund or item to be redelivered they told me no argued with me even after the fact they admitted to making items not the way they were ordered. I thought I had amazing pizza until now. This is easily the best tasting pizza I have had. Grew up in the poconos and now I'm in the valley and my family has been on the hunt for great pizza. The flavor of this pizza is phenomenal and the slices are massive. I've only had it once so far, and the only negative was the pizza felt a tiny bit overdone/tough. For my tastes Zio's hits all the right notes. Starting with crusty dough that is not too thick or yeasty you have a fine foundation for what comes next. The sauce is full of tomato flavor with balanced sweetness and tartness. Fresh basil leaves and fresh mozzarella slices adorn the top of my favorite variety of pizza. For a change of pace I highly recommend their white specialty pizza. Just a perfect combination of structure, ingredients, and oven time. read more

Do not believe the 4+ star rating. This place is horrible. We got veal marsala and its obvious that everything came out of a can. How can you also screw up antipasta? They overloaded it with escabeche which if you're unfamiliar is pickled vegetables with a salt content that would kill a seahorse, and I love salty food. Escabeche comes in a jar at the grocery store by the way. Stay clear and opt for Mamas Italian Grill, no affiliation unlike the people who rated Zios so highly. read more

Tried this place for the 1st time a few weeks ago for a plain cheese pizza. Pizza is one of those foods that is quite subjective, but in my opinion, it was vey good. I only stopped here because Tesla superchargers are nearby, and my young daughter wanted "pasta with tomato sauce". Her spaghetti was good, but my eggplant parmesan was truly exceptional -- possibly the best I've had. The hostess was quick with a greeting, the waitress was pleasant and friendly. A good experience. More than that, I could see that they had some regular customers who were friendly with the staff (probably the owner?) and I enjoyed watching those interactions. There's definitely some mutual respect between customers and staff... reminded me of an actual restaurant in Italy. Weird place. The pizza is ok. We ate inside. The music from ceiling tile speakers was annoyingly loud. Couldn't get away from it. Frank Sinatra mixed with sixties music. The guy waiting on us had an attitude. I got up to place our pizza order at the counter and was told I had to place my order from the table. I moved tables to try and get away from the speakers (I was with my elderly mother who has hearing aids) and the guy didn't seem to like that. It was just a weird lunchtime experience. Maybe he was in a bad mood. Maybe I'm a jerk. I don't know but I don't think I'll return to see who's the jerk. read more

We had take-out from here recently. After we got home, we realized they forgot my pierogies. We called and they acted like it was no big deal and wanted to know what I wanted them to do (meanwhile I had already given them a generous tip when I picked it up.) They then suggested that they could deliver the pierogies as we only live 6-7 minutes away. It took them 25-30 minutes to get here. I think maybe we got a "sorry." Their food is ok, nothing you can't get at every other Italian place around the Lehigh Valley. I do think they are overpriced. We spent $50 on a Hawaiian pizza, sausage sandwich, cheeseburger, and pierogies. Sorry to say but we won't be back. read more

Prices were fair, but the hoagie I ordered had very little meat on it, which explains the fair price. All toppings came out of the hoagie and onto my plate bc they put all meat and cheese on the bottom. I did a pickup order drive 20 mins home to find items missing and a cheese steak with no melted cheese at all. So I call they say will deliver it right to your house. Hour goes by I call oh we are really busy and owner is busy to he will call you back. I said you mess up my order and I am supposed to wait unreal. Some of the best pizza I have had in the ALLENTOWN area. Wide variety of pizza available. Thin crust that is close to a NYC or brick oven crust. Had a slice of the General Tso's pizza which was great, as was the plain pie. Will definitely be going there again. Their website does not show all the varieties of pies that they have. read more

Went here for lunch the other day. It was very tastefully decorated with all the right touches. The server was entirely to talkative. I felt like I couldn't even get a chance to eat. She talked like she was an old friend & gave us her history of how she worked for the owner before at his prior place, then went to work someplace else till he called and ask her to come work at the new place. I came to eat, not socialize with the help. The food was very greasy. I had onion rings and a cheese steak. The steak was small (especially for the price) and was very light on the meat they put in it. The grease just ran out all over my hands. Onion rings were also extra greasy. As far as would I return here again, probably not. To many other pizza places around that have better food, price and you can eat in peace. Not a place a could recommend. read more

This place is alright. I recently came in with friend looking for a good, quick lunch. I'll start off by saying that the restaurant is kept very clean and I like how the place is decorated. While I was here I had a slice of pizza (along with other things, which I'll get to in a minuet) and the pizza was very, very good. My friend decided to try a cheese-stake and we also ordered fries and onion rings to share. We wanted to eat it in the restaurant. When our food was finished, like I said the pizza was fabulous. However, my friend felt as if her cheese-stake skimped on the meat and complained of it being very greasy. I also noticed the onion rings were overly greasy as well. We asked for our fries to be well done, which they weren't. As far as service goes, everyone was very friendly. We did agree though that our waitress was actually a little too chatty and a bit overbearing with us. She was nice, but yet slightly annoying while we were eating. I did find their prices to be a bit high, though. However, overall this place isn't too bad. Would I come back? Yeah, probably if I'm nearby and hungry for a slice of pizza. I wouldn't come out of my way to come here and I'd recommend them for their pizza. read more

This is one of the best pizzas I've had since moving to the area and I'm a tough critic being a pizza snob and all. The margherita pizza is my favorite here. My family and I order from here a few times a week. The chicken wings and garlic knots are also delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Yesterday I went online to order pizza and fries for my wife and 2 kids. It said it would be there by 6:50. Still waiting at 730pm for our dinner. I next called and no one answer. So I drive over and place is closed. They let me order and take my money when they are closed, we didn't eat until 830pm because I had to get new food. This morning I get a refund which was nice but nothing else, no apology, nothing! Customer appreciation doesn't exist there as I order there every week . I'm done!!! read more
