    Chicken Noodle Soup (1/14/19)
    Tara U.

My first visit here thanks to seeing the Yelp reviews. The location is hidden (see pic attached). It is inside of a corporate building, but there is a 'sandwiches' wind sign near the correct parking lot/entrance. I was promptly greeted when entering. No wait (I was there around 1:30 on a Monday). I ordered a half roasted turkey sandwich and soup. The roasted turkey was fab! Not deli sliced - think actual roasted turkey. Made to order in front of you. The soup was tasteful (chicken noodle). The gentleman checking me out was a bit chatty with the previous customer about his (knee?) surgery, but that is my only complaint. I was a 'to-go' order and was trying to be quick. Total for my half sandwich and small soup was $8.48. Will def be back!

Thought I was in the wrong place but luckily there was a large "Sandwiches" banner outside of the office building. I ordered the Badass BLT with candied bacon and ham. It was prepped quickly and the bacon added something special to a classic!

    Finally found this amazing place.

It's got amazing sandwiches and sides. Great atmosphere. Excellent place for lunch. The big daddy is really good. Buy the tuna mac!!!

Paesano. And it was awesome with olives and red peppers.

Again a winner. Mom had the Steuben on a Portuguese toasted bun. Sassy slaw was just awesome. Twice in one week.

My wife had a ham sandwich (on the left), I had a fried fish sandwich (on the right). The boardwalk-style fries were delicious...

This is a family run operation: the father is the menu head chef. A family friend is the dish designer. One of his sons makes their scratch fresh dough used for the hoagie rolls, garlic knots, and pizza crust, and another son works as the very sweet server. They are pretty newly opened, and so there were only us and one other table, but I think the more people who try it, the more who will return. I hope this place ends up really thriving soon! My husband tried the Italian hoagie and said it was one of the best he has ever had - the freshly baked roll it was on was wonderfully crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. They'd done it right, with good cold cuts and cheese, plus the oil and vinegar, salt and pepper on the veggies to give it zing. Our one daughter got the BLT hoagie and also loved it, but she did wish she'd also asked for oil and vinegar on the veggies after trying bites of my husband's sandwich. My son got the chicken piccata (pounded thin, sauce of lemon white wine butter capers and roasted red peppers over pasta) and I got the veal masala (pounded thin and tender, sauce of butter mushrooms basil and Marsala wine reduction over pasta). Both were really good. All of our portions were huge. The Marsala and Piccata dishes came with salads and garlic knots. I'd say the salad was the weakest link: the blue cheese dressing was pretty much mayo mixed with Gorgonzola. It was more of a generic wing dip than a salad dressing. I'd suggest they search out good recipes for blue cheese dressings (the online leaked version of Gabriel's Gate of Buffalo NY one is phenomenal both for wing sauce AND salad dressing -- with its elements of sour cream, buttermilk, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and blue cheese) and would be worth coming back for over and over. If you like a good hoagie - give this place a try for sure. I bet the pizza is good, too, with that dough for its crust.

It was good. It didn't blow me away. The sauce was a red but cut with white wine so it wasn't as heavy as a typical red. The shrimp was a little overcooked but the scallops, muscles, clams, and calamari were all very tender. The waitress brought us some complementary garlic knots. They were doughy and still warm inside. Overall it's a good family spot and the food is nicer than the atmosphere would lead you to believe. The value for food is decent but is it my kinda thing? Not really.

We walked in and even though it was busy we were taken to our reserved table immediately. The place is big with nice decor and ambiance, and the tables are spaced out enough that it keeps the area around you quiet enough to be able to hold a conversation comfortably with the people at your table. Our server was with us quickly and took our drink orders. All of the cocktails were delicious and several of us got a second round! We got the bao buns, chicken skewers, and birria poutine to start and they were all extremely delicious. The poutine tasted more like molé though so I personally wouldn't call it birria, and the cheese was a molten cheddar-like kind and not cheese curds. It was delicious though so no one complained! I got the curry and subbed tofu for shrimp. It was a little bland and I honestly wish there would've been a bit more of the curry itself (there was so much rice) and some more salt/seasoning, but it was fine. I'd give it a 7.5/10. My coworkers all enjoyed their own dishes (especially the rigatoni) and they kept raving about them throughout the whole meal. Our server was attentive and kept the table clean and our water bottles topped up. I definitely recommend checking it out! We're keeping it i. our list for next time we're in town :)

This traditionally comes with purple rice, napa cabbage, kimchi, cucumbers, spicy broccoli, carrots, spicy sprouts, fried egg, slow-roasted pork and Korean BBQ sauce. I struggle when a dish has too many spicy ingredients and specially kimchi is just too much for me to be able to handle. I requested the kimchi on the side so I could try the dish as it was meant to be tasted but without the commitment of having all that spice in my bowl. They did provide kimchi on the side but what I did not realize was that there was kimchi covering the rice under the other layers. The heat was just too much for me and I was unable to eat the majority of the dish. That being said, what I could eat was delicious. Grains cooked to perfection and tossed in the bbq sauce. Broccoli that was crunchy and had the slightest kick. And tender and juicy pulled pork. If you like the heat, this is a good one. And if you are like me and a bit more sensitive, keep a close eye on the dish as they make it. The place is your run of the mill chain restaurant, nothing fancy and very casual. Service is at the counter much like a chipotle or subway. The restaurant was generally clean with a few dirty tables. The highlight for me was the lemonade/drink bar. Fresh juices and lemonades with unexpected ingredients like cardamom and red beets. I will definitely be going back and giving this place a second chance in the future.

I started off with their spinach pie. It was what I would describe as a roll studded with sauteed spinach and onions and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. When asking the waitress, I asked if it would be similar to spanakopita, she said it was, but the heavy doughy bread was not really what I had hoped for or expected. Was it good, yes. Would I order it again, no. For my main I went with the Lamb Kebab in Pita. Grilled lamb, lettuce, tomato, parsley, onions, and a light hummus spread. The lamb was a little chewy but the flavors of the fresh vegetables and the seasoned lamb blended well together. I am not always the biggest fan of hummus and find that it tends to be too gritty for my texture pallet. However, this spread was mixed with a creamy sauce of some kind that really brought out the flavor without that grittiness that you sometimes find in hummus. The food came out fast, from the time we sat down till we finished our food it was just under an hour. So overall a good experience. When it came time to pay, we never received an itemized bill, we were just given a total. Later on, doing the math, we found that for the two bills at our table, both were considerably different than the prices listed on the menu, even after adding on the standard 6% tax. Based on the differences, we can only assume that the prices listed on the menu and website are no longer the actual price of the meal. Or, both our bills just happened to be messed up. We can't really say. But that alone for me changed this from a 5 star experience to a 3. The Grill is listed as a 5.2 currently on my Beli, and again, for me I do not like transparency on pricing or total charges but the food itself and the ambiance is a really nice experience.
