The ladies behind the counter are very kind and helpful in deciding one of the most important decisions of your day: food! If Subway has sandwich artists this place has sandwich di Vinchi's. Wally's clearly take care in the crafting of their offerings. Fresh, crisp, proportionally assembled.... very well done. So why 4 and not 5? Well, as an Amoroso lover it's hard to give 5 stars for the roll. It's good and it's fresh but it not great. Finally the price of an 8" for $10 is a bit steep for me. Yes, it's probably premium meats and cheeses- but Wally's positions themselves as a treat and not a regular stop with such premium pricing. I likely will be back when passing through Emmaus and I certainly wouldn't go elsewhere in Emmaus for a sandwich- but I'm not quite ready to write home to mom about today's lunch. read more

Wow, I wish I could give 6 stars! Service goes a long way for me and they were great at Wally's. they were super patient and walking through the menu. We placed an order, but er made a last munute change when we saw the Pecan Pig being made! We got an Italian and Pecan Pig Medium and was plenty for two people for two people to spilt 1/2 each. I have been coming to this restaurant for years. I always order the veggie, not because i am a vegetarian, but because it is so tasty. There are sprouts and sunflower seeds, peppers, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce and so many more yummy things on this "Hog." What I love about their Hogs is they slice the bread into 3 sections to perfectly divide the sandwich of all it's tasty toppings. I was disappointed when they stopped serving boar's head meats because the pickles they have are so delicious. I've been going to Wally's deli for years. Since I've moved out of town I always find time to get a pecan pig whenever I visit the family. Wallys creativity is what separates it from others. The combination of flavors in their specialty sandwiches is unlike any sandwich ive had before. My personal favorite is the Pecan Pig. I have yet to find a sandwich shop that is better. Wallys uses quality ingredients. Their bread is made freshly every morning from a local bakery. Meats and cheeses are plentiful in there sandwiches. Very good stopped in for a to go lunch. I got a pecan something, female behind counter suggested it in a wrap instead so i chose the spinach wrap. Very good. The sandwiches at Wally's are second to none. I got the Smokey and my boyfriend got the pecan pig. Both sandwiches were perfection. Bread was fresh, meats were plentiful, and the staff was very friendly. We also had a slice of there pumpkin roll. It was amazing. Love the Hogs & love the friendly people...just wish they had an extra set of hands on a busy lunch rush. We showed up around 12:30 in the afternoon and they were pretty packed...several tables were full of eaters plus a few folks waiting for carry out. We grabbed menus, picked out some sandwiches, and then waited. And waited. And waited some more. No one nodded at us or said hello or anything. I understand that they were busy, but still...I think you should acknowledge your guests when they enter, even if it's to say, just a few minutes, please. They delivered food to a few folks and then finally it was our time to order. The young gal was very friendly, making some recommendations and then told us to have a seat while they made our sandwiches. The ladies behind the counter had a good banter going on and our sandwiches were up fairly quickly. The woman who exchange our money for our sandwiches was ever more friendly and just crazy pleasant. So, the food. Fantastic! A small buffalo tommy & a small southwestern turkey = full bellies. The southwestern turkey breast has a nice kick of spice throughout...I had mine piled with pepper jack, lettuce, tomato & ranch dressing and it was definitely a keeper. My husband's buffalo tommy had even more kick (some chipotle/buffaloy creamy sauce gave it a nice notch up) and he had his piled even higher with adding onions & pepper. They have a nice selection of homemade desserts & salads, plus all sorts of chips, but sandwiches were enough for us. Just shy of $11 for two small sandwiches, and I have some leftovers for later. Definitely a place I will return to (but I'll probably call in my takeout order beforehand). read more

I absolutely love their sandwiches, we don't go too often because they are pretty pricey at $26 for 2 medium hogs, 1 soda and 1 small bag of chips- don't get me wrong it was worth every penny! However when I went to pick up my order today, I was disappointed to see that the people working there did not have masks on. I'm not a person who has been afraid throughout this pandemic or anything but I do think masks should be worn when out in public, especially indoors when dealing directly with customers and food. read more

While the different types of sandwiches are unique and developed from out of the box thinking. The roll is lacking the same thought and consideration that went into coming up with the sandwich itself. Not too mention the prices are outrageous. I'm all about supporting local businesses and business owners, but I won't do it for a product that I don't think is worth it.
