Deli is Still the Bomb. The Deli workers are fantastic, friendly, helpful and they make great sandwiches. Their hoagies still rock. Other items in the store are a little expensive, but the sandwiches and deli portions are excellent. read more

The food from the Deli is amazing, however, there are MANY things needing major fixing in that store! 1. Stop adding more vapes and products that nobody is buying, instead, get items people are constantly asking for, and move them so that they are NOT within arms reach of customers. We had a kid steal a vape a month ago while one of the cashiers was straightening the shelves, as management freaks out if they stand still for more than 2 seconds. 2. It is very busy during the day, the cashiers are by THEMSELVES, absolutely no breaks given, can hardly go the bathroom and cashiers are now expected to be up-front at all times when customers are in the store. 3. It is always hot in that store, milk is always going bad before expiration date, French fries are moldy as nothing is getting fixed. There were no prices listed on the shelves, customers complained and all the owner did was laugh and shake his head! Oh, not to mention they just mark down and continue to sell expired stuff such as food, hand sanitizer, and OTC medicine!!! Always check the expiration dates before purchasing anything off their shelves!! Their counters where the registers are is super crowded with junk, making it harder for cashiers to ring up larger orders cause most people aren't nice enough to move their stuff out of the way once it is rung up and bagged. 4. They expect way too much from their cashiers only to pay them $8/hour LITERALLY!! Cashiers don't have a say in anything, cause according to management, they are just some dumb cashiers that don't know anything despite the experience they have.. and will literally walk away from you if it pertains to the owners 'mommy' aka the SM that no customer seems to like at all.. Plus the management doesn't listen to neither their employees or customers and they wonder why they are losing BOTH customers and money. Listen to your employees, they have the experience and the skills and know what they are doing, way better than the current management of this place. read more

It's OK. It's a clean local store to get some drinks / snacks / lottery, but the main shining star / offering are the subs / sandwiches that people come in for. IMO...they make a better than average sub/ hoagie, but your socks will be on your feet afterward. If you like a large amount of meat, you absolutely have found your place. Rolls are hit or miss. Prices are ok. They do make their own salads (meaning, Tuna, Chicken, Ham). Otherwise, the store sells what you'd typically expect in a convinience store, except this one is cleaner. You can get some meat products they packaged / butchered (like steaks) and the like. I don't mind stopping here when I'm with someone who wants to, but it's not my favorite. read more

I've tried many a sub across the tristate area, and Heights Market subs just doesn't make the cut. I'm not say it's bad! This great little privately owned deli/market is a great stop for a nice lunch or some quick groceries, and other shops in the area don't offer much better subs than Heights. Now there's nothing wrong with the subs here at all--and you definitely can't beat the price--but there is room for improvement. I will now review my order of a full (10") sub with turkey, salami, Muenster, lettuce, tomato, onion, extra mayo, oil/vinegar, and pepper. For $7.00 Let's start with the bread: 6.3/10 a little doughy. There's almost no flavor and you can tell it's made of fairly inexpensive ingredients. Although fresh, there's no fresh smell and no density, it's just fluff. Good deli hoagies should have some crunch to them and offer a little more rigidity and challenge when biting into. I like to order "heavy" mayo on my subs, (as I feel that sub shops in general aren't generous enough with their mayo.) and the bread could not stay together under the pressure of all the meat and mayo. Ingredients: 8.2/10 Fresh! Lettuce was fresh and you can tell it wasn't out of a bag, but it could be a little more crisp. Tomatoes were rip red and juicy, but lacking a little in flavor. Onions were thinly shredded and fresh with good flavor. Meat/cheese: 8.7 Huge quantities! They are very generous with their meats. In fact, so generous that I would give them a higher score if they used LESS meat due to the sheer volume of ingredients glutted into this glutenous gulch. Eating it was difficult,.. Bigger isn't always better guys! Regardless, the turkey was fresh and thinly sliced. They do use good quality meats, so I give an 8.7 for meats and cheeses. Overall, it was a scrumptious sub but I've had far better. Final mark: 3.6, and that's a professional score! read more

We stopped by to get some sandwiches for dinner last night. On our way home from the pool. Boy were they good.. a bit pricey a little more than your average. But I think that if you want something good, you have to pay extra. read more

OMG - how did I miss this place? Their hoagies are amazing - just the best. Forget about competitors, these guys kill it .. stuffed with ample fresh ingredients, great bread, sweet price. They are now my "go to" hoagie guys! read more

Disappointed! They used to have pretty good breakfast sandwiches. But now they jacked up the price, the quality is worse even though the added a second egg they were only half cooked. People flock to deals and this is not anymore. I also got a ham sandwich on a roll and they lady kept slicing and slicing the meat at turned out to be a pound an a half of ham. And then was charged 7$ for just ham and cheese on a roll not a bogie just a roll! . It wasn't even edible. read more

This store is on the major decline. The manager runs around like bozo the clown trying to figure out how to order a 6 aisle mini mart.... dah dah dah duhhhhhh. Man is very dishonest. Even to his own employees. Temps are not taken serious in this place whatsoever. Mold mold mold in produce. Check all produce here. Refreezed product that was thawed and refroze. Bad deli meat at times. Awful tasting smoke meat jerky to. Horrible. I didn't even want to give this circus on read more

Best Hoagie I've have ever had! I highly recommend the Hoag's. New Hoag spot. They pile on the meat, the large could be 3 meals. There lunch meat is really good too. Can add a bunch of toppings on it. read more

The staff is extremely rude Every time I go in. Their hoagie prices have gone up a lot and they do not put as much on them anymore. The wait has also increased for a hoagie. Would not recommend going! read more

Great locally owned grocery/deli. Heights is famous amongst the locals for great breakfast sandwiches and fantastic hoagies extremely well. You won't find a better deal on hoagies. If anything, they are made too well. Do yourself a favor and visit this store. read more

Subs are great. I travel to third world countries and on my way back from the airport I always stoo in for a sub. And yes...I dont know how they make koney off the subs. read more

I've lived by heights my whole life so I've been there many times. However, recently I was upset when I bought a pack of chicken nuggets that had mold on them. I didn't see it until I got home because it was on the bottom of the nuggets but they offered an exchange when I brought it back. That grossed me out and I haven't been back since. I trusted that everything was fresh and now i don't want to have to inspect everything I get. I also once asked one of the deli workers to re-wrap a pack of beef because there was liquid leaking out everywhere and when it got returned to me it was just as bad. There is a strict $5 card limit which is frustrating at times when you just want to grab something small and don't have cash. Friendly food mart across the street is better for those occasions read more

Good : People are friendly. Bad: Cannot follow customers instructions on what is asked to put on sandwiches. Incorrect cheese was put on; made sandwich too early, dressing seeped into the bread, making it soggy. Instructions were repeated slowly, twice..\ unbelievable read more

The hoagies are great and you get a lot for your money but a lot of the salads , cooked food and food sold is expired . Got sick a few times. I've called to tell them about how the food tasted and came in shortly after and noticed that they did not remove that item. Still willing to sell old expired food . Shelves are becoming less full and I feel like the store will be closing or being sold . Owner is rude and doesn't have any care for others . read more

I can't imagine how they make money on their hoagies. They really load them up. The macaroni and potato salads are are top notch. The people there are always friendly. read more

Like others have said, the hoagies are big and have plenty of meat, unlike other places (looking at you, Goose on Willow Park Road). Very convenient place if you live in the neighborhood and don't have time to deal with a supermarket for some basic grocery items as well. read more

Been wanting to get a hoagie here for a long time. So many people telling me how great they are and man they were right. Just stuffed to the gills with delicious meats and cheeses. These hoagies are legit. This place is far from in my neighborhood being like 20mins away but I will be back. I'm at J's subs right now wishing I was there. Lol read more

Place is dirty. The manager is not an honest man.High prices. Looking forward to Shop Rite opening

Generations of my family shopped at our local heights market. I have written personal checks in this store longer than most of the people ages that work there in the store. Now that our neighborhood has been developing and new people have come to the neighbor they have written bad checks So all of us suffer. This is ignorance on the behalf of owner of the heights market and the Manager of this store to put this policy into play. The locals have kept this store going. I have been shopping there over 50 years. I was extremely insulted yesterday when I went there in a hurry my dog took sick and I went there to buy chicken and rice for her. To be turned away. I'm sorry the Manager replied can't take anymore checks for anyone. So you punish your long standing locals are you serious. I hope it comes back to bite you in the ass. Maybe the owner should reevaluate his decision. He is punishing the wrong people. read more
