Located in a Shell gas station, you'll find this counter that sells breakfast sandwiches and deli sandwiches. We stopped by on the way out for a trip. Everyone got a breakfast sandwich. You have the option to get it on a bagel, bread, or wrap. I got mine with an everything bagel, scrambled eggs, American cheese and bacon. You have option to add a hash brown to your sandwich or on the side. I opted on the side. Food comes out pretty fast. The sandwich was still piping hot as I embarked on it. The everything bagel was a lot more saltier that I'm acclimated too. It was a good sandwich but wished they have hot sauce on the side to add to it. The prices are just right and service was great. I would be back to try out the deli sandwiches for lunch one day. read more

If you think deli and think big city sandwiches, this is not your place. They turn out great food, but its not the delis of the big city. That being said: Great breakfast sandwiches start this hidden gem. The burgers are also terrific and very popular with my coworkers. The sandwiches are of good quality. The fries are fresh cut. The deviled eggs are pretty decent. The best thing is they deliver! For your typical office lunch, this place is a winner. Looks can be deceiving - this place doesn't stand out when you're driving by (it's in a Shell station) but the chicken cutlet sandwich was outstanding. Ordered online and it was ready when I got there ten minutes later. Looking forward to trying their other sandwiches. My favorite spot to grab a deli sandwich, every single thing I've had from here has been awesome. One thing I must say/highlight, possibly the best chicken cutlet sandwich you can get around here. If you're looking for an old-school NY style deli, this is not it, but don't let that fool you. Brookside does deli food right. Everything is fresh. Portions are generous. They use top quality Boar's Head products. They usually have some made-from-scratch soup and various sides available. The dine-in area is smaller than "cozy," so if you have a large party you might plan to get your order to go. The deli is part of a convenience store, so there is only so much they can do for "Atmosphere". The food and price make up for that and then some. They also do catering; however, I can't review that aspect. If I ever use that service I will amend this review as appropriate. This place is a diamond in the rough. Way better sandwiches than a subway, panera or anyplace else I've found around here. Good bread, boar's head meat, and the toppings that a good deli should have (pickles, olives, herb dressings). I get a big, well made sandwich for $5. Only downside is that it's in a shell station with no tables, so for lunch I have to bring it back and eat at my desk.... This place should get its own location with seating. As a vegetarian, this place does not thrive in the slightest. Their vegetarian hoagie was a pathetic excuse for a meal (at least toss some cheese on it, my god). I felt like I was just eating olive oil from a soggy piece of bread. You guys would do much better if you updated your vegetarian options like so many other delis. read more

Went into the deli this morning and the young man at the register over charged the customer in front of me. He rang up my purchase for a item, he overcharged me for my item too. When questioned that he overcharged me as well, he then handed me back change.Be careful watch the prices on their menu broads so you are not over charged. It is so easy for this to happen when you are in a hurry in the morning. But not a good practice for a business if they want a repeat customer.All employees should be aware of their products prices. read more

I just moved from NJ where getting your car inspected at the DMV is dreadful at best but coming to PA to find a private garage to do it was not only out of this world but scary. To my surprise I was greeted by smiling faces and instant comfort. At first I thought I was in the wrong place because inside this unassuming gas station was a quaint little deli. After being reassured I was in the right place my car was quickly tended to and I began to browse the deli menu. I thought how good could a meal from a gas station be? Once again I was thrown for a loop because the meal that I had was outstanding! Just as I was finishing up and about to compliment the person behind the counter the gentleman from the shop greeted me with my keys and my new inspection approval. I had a wonderful experience.
