It was delicious for airport food. The servings were large, so the prices seemed fair. I tried a chicken sandwich and the burger definitely seemed like the most popular option for those around me. The onion rings were perfect for sharing, crisp and so good.
This place has a great breakfast sandwich! Hot, fresh, and just all around quality. It was about $19 for this and a bottle of water so on par for other airport food. I can tell this place is cook to order and it still only took about 5 minutes. Will definitely remember this next time I'm in Sky Harbor on a morning flight.
Surprisingly good fancyburger for the airport. Had the jalepeno burger - def got a kick and I love it. Reasonable service speeds, great quality food. That's really all I need for a quick bite.
I was impressed with the size and pricing of the burger especially for food at the airport. The burger was really good and filling. The burgers came with two patties. The service is quick and very friendly staff! There's no seating.
I'm always impressed when I enjoy a meal at an airport. I'm even more impressed when the food is so good it keeps me coming back to the establishment anytime I'm passing through. That's Zinburger for me! I've been to this location three times now. The service is great and I always get my food in less than 10 minutes. Unfortunately the menu is limited, but understandably so for an airport location. Each time, I leave a happy customer. On my most recent visit, I chowed down on the Samburger (applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, lettuce and 1000 island dressing, $13.95) and a small hand cut fries ($3.50). This was my second time ordering this burger and I swear it slapped harder than the first. There's crazy flavor in the patty and the bacon was perfectly cooked! Cheese was melted just right and the 1000 island adds nice zing that separates this sandwich from your average. The fries, as always, were deliciously crispy and nicely salted. I really, really hope this place stays. I look forward to returning and, hopefully, checking out one of their other locations next time I'm in AZ. I'd love to pair one of these bad boys with some wine!
Trying to grab a quick bite before your flight, try this place. I am not a fan of this terminal at Phoenix airport. On the day I was here, it was wall-to-wall people with nowhere to sit, lines for all of the food places, and a general chaos-type atmosphere. But we were hungry and Zinburger looked like it didn't have a line. Looks can be deceiving. While there wasn't an ordering line, there were a bunch of people waiting for their food. This is an order and wait for your number kind of place. There is nowhere to sit at the restaurant once you get your order either. I ended up taking my burger and onion rings to a nearby bar type standing and eating place next door. The burger was decent for a quick-service restaurant. There weren't enough condiments on the burger but overall, not bad. The onion rings were trash. They were very overcooked and were really bad. I ended up trashing them. Had the terminal not been so packed it probably wouldn't have been so bad. I hate standing and eating.
The Zinburger location at the Phoenix airport is small like an old fashioned hamburger stand with fewer burgers and sides on the menu and no alcohol. They brought as much freshness and flavors to the airport. Fries that are crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside is a good tell tale sign of freshness. What they didn't bring were premium airport prices. I think the zinburger and samburger are actually lower than outside locations as of today in early Feb 2024.
Zinburger currently has six locations in Arizona. This one at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (or just 'Sky Harbor') offered a limited subset of their full menu. Their signature Zinburger had two meat patties, cooked a little longer than I would have liked and it came out medium-well done. The quality of the meat was good enough but a little dry. There is a lot of cheese which became a gooey mess. I don't think I've seen Manchego Cheese, a Spanish cheese obtained from sheep milk, on a burger before, but it works, though it's rather sloppy. There isn't any seating at this restaurant, so you end up eating it in your seat in the airport boarding areas, and you may have to clean your hands after eating, before boarding your plane, because your hands may be a bit messy.
Located in the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Terminal 4 in the food section area. They have a simple menu, and the drinks are located on the left side of the order counter. We got the Zinburger and the West Coast Chicken Burger for lunch. The burgers were good. They didn't have seating, so we just ate at the flight waiting area.
Cool open vibe on active street corner, impressively large list of cocktails, ordered wings (enough heat to make lips tingle), fried zucchini sticks (addictive amt of crunchy outside/moist inside), Zinburger cooked to Medium perfection, Passionfruit unsweet tea added tropical flair, covered fries were tasty = every item is well-made, service quick and frequent, absolutely worth a visit and the value!
This place said the pickles came on the side of the burger. -- No seating so after I walked away sat down opened my burger I found no pickles. &&& Was charge an extra dollar for extra lettuce... it's not cheese guys, it's lettuce- $1? If you're gonna up charge u should tell the customer not sneak it on the bill. My dad commented the burgers would taste a lot better if they were fresh. Patties seemed dried out and a little hard. Would not recommend the burger at all. I'm allergic to cheese so I couldn't really try any of their fancy burgers, as I'm sure you know places never give you money back when you ask to take a topping off, but they sure are quick to charge you extra money for something like two spoonfuls of lettuce. so I just ordered a plain burger... no tomato, no mayo extra lettuce (charge $1 extra without telling me) ... Burger bread was ok and so were regular fries. The fries were actually pretty good (4stars) and are the only thing I would recommend here - though they were expensive and the portion was small. My mom's sweet potato fries were under cooked and she didn't finish them -- they seemed partially raw. We arrived at this airport weary after many travel delays and reroutes and ate here as it was one of the few places still open around 930pm Monday night . If I had to do over again, I would've eaten at the bar next-door. I didn't realize they were still serving food next-door over there. The food looks way better than what we got. Staff was friendly, food was mediocre at best. *edited to correct autocorrect spelling errors

I arrived at the airport a little earlier than expected and had a couple of hours before my flight. I started to look for some different options to grab some breakfast and with my love for burgers, as soon as I seen Modern Burger I knew it was a perfect fit. I walked up to the counter and placed my order, paid with a credit card and took my drink and set in the small seating area that all faces the terminal. Obvious great people watching while you eating. Always a plus! Within 3 or 4 min they called my number and I grabbed my breakfast burger. Burger with cheese, and egg, bacon, tomatoes and lettuce. It was delicious and totally hit the spot. It wasn't too small or too big, it was just he right size to fill you up but not make you regret eating it all as you walk away. Amazing. I had the Diablo burger which is right in my wheel house. My only complaint was that it comes with two patties which is too much for me. It's like In-N-Out on steroids double double with fresh ground. The bun is too die for. My wife got a crispy chicken sandwich which was so amazing with the fresh avocado slices. Probably liked that even better than my burger and I'm not a chicken person. Fries also great. Fresh cut and hot and crispy. Clearly made to order. Now with that said. The service is slow. It took a long time to place the order and I had to yell at the top of my lungs thru my mask for her to understand. But this is the world we live post covid there are employee shortages so I'm happy they had someone to take my order. If you are rushing to catch a plane be prepared to miss it. Waiting on a connection to Vegas I decided to check them out. The cashier was friendly, but was rushing and kept having to reask me the same questions of what I wanted on the burger. Dbl bacon, Well done, pickle, lettuce, grilled onions, I requested mustard, but you apply that yourself. I also got fries and a bottled water. Order came to $16 and change. HIGHWAY ROBBERY.... Fries alone were $3.25, they were warm, and just ok. The burger was good. Not well done enough for me tho. When I picked the burger up the paper was stuck to the bottom and tore half the bun from the wet lettuce and grilled onions. It was too much of something. I'd subtract the lettuce and get raw onions next time. For the price it was just ok. read more

Everyone at the airport was nice and I was having a good experience. That was until I walked into Zinburger, and then everything got.... Better! From the person taking my order to the one delivering the order, all I got was attention and great smiles. But then they go, and give me the most amazing burger, and that's when they really shined! There are days when things are not always right, but oh, this was right! Melting cheese, delicious sauce and a burger cooked right on point. Not too well done, not too rare... Just the perfect bite. I'm about to take a flight and bread would not be my choice at the moment, but they fulfilled the request for lettuce instead without a problem. Prices are definitely very good for the airport. And the location right next to my exit just made out the right choice. Thumbs up! read more

One of the least flavorful burgers I can recall having. Put together and stayed together well enough, didn't taste bad, just didn't taste like much of anything at all. Cannot recommend, especially at airport prices of $14, and just for a burger with no fries. read more
The hamburgers at Zinburger are delicious. They offer several options but we decided to go with the basic Zinburger and the El Diablo. The juicy Zinburger was topped with braised onions, mayo, lettuce and Manchego cheese. The fries were piping hot and crunchy with a soft center. We both liked that the El Diablo had a mild kick to it. The burger has jalapeños, pepper jack cheese that are topped with lettuce, caramelized onions and a touch of chipotle mayo. Service was quick and friendly. There were a few open seats and the entire establishment looked very clean and orderly. read more
I was hungry and didn't feel like going to a sit down restaurant for airport breakfast and also didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for whatever I ate. Compared to other similar breakfast choices Modern Burger was a good option for me. I had the breakfast sandwich: a bacon, egg, avocado and cheese sandwich on a burger bun. It was made in a speedy amount of time and was very filling. The bun was soft and a bit oily, the bacon crisp, and there were large chunks of avocado in the filling. The total was around $8 which is slightly cheaper and had more substance than similar offerings at other restaurants here. Overall it was a pretty good sandwich and I'd come here again if I wanted a burger or breakfast at the airport. read more
I am unfaithful. I cheated. I admit it. But I was hungry and my favorite burger place is not in Sky Harbor Airport A Gates. I only ordered two items. One, a double burger no onions and two, a vanilla milkshake. The milkshake was small but who needs a gigantic cup of ice cream anyway. Not I for sure. The burger was not under cooked or over cooked but just right. It was very juicy and delicious and the shake was tasty. My local California place is still my favorite but I'll be back here when I'm in sky harbor. Bon appétit Travellers read more
As far as airport food goes, this is definitely one of the best. It's located amongst all the other notable places in Terminal 4, but I specifically chose it as I was looking for a good burger and heard many good things about the locations outside the airport. The burger was indeed a solid burger, the patty had a nice sear on the outside, was juicy on the inside, and seasoned well. The bacon was plentiful and the cheese was melted juuuust right. The fries have to be bought separately and they were pretty decent, just not quite worth the price and/or calories right before vacation. The food came out really quickly and was fresh and hot. Price was reasonable for airport standards. I left satisfied and pretty full after my meal and definitely would come again. It was a short trek from one concourse to the other, which is good for burning some of those calories off if you got to the airport too early! read more
Sky Harbor Airport has NEVER disappointed me with their restaurants. This time- Zinburger hit the spot! Is there a line? Yes. Is there any aprox. 10 min wait? Yes. Is it worth it? HECK YA! I got the Zinburger with gluten free bun. Couldn't have imagined a better airport burger. Only thing I needed to add was salt. So good! read more
This is the place to get a burger at the Phoenix airport. Food is made to order and comes out hot. The Zinburger is double patty burger and I also tried their special, which was a single patty blue cheese burger. They also have solid French fries, onion rings and sweet potato fries, as well as shakes. The ordering and pickup process was very easy and they package the food nicely so it's easy to take to go. read more

Grab LOTS of napkins! Thankfully a co-worker suggested this dining option while waiting for my flight. I just had the namesake burger, nothing else. I was excited to see Manchego cheese as one of the included ingredients. I love Manchego, but never considered to put it on a burger. It works. I didn't change a thing and I didn't order anything else as I didn't want to be super stuffed before getting on a plane. 4 stars are for the high price. $12 for just a burger. They get you at the airport and I think that sucks. read more
This was meant to be a quick stop in the airport. It actually took about 20 minutes to get my cheeseburger. I didn't order a cheeseburger that was specialty, I ordered one right off the menu. There isn't a picture of my Burger because by the time it arrived I had to scarf it down to get on the plane. Over all, the Burger was fine. It wasn't anything special. The bacon was the cheap kind of bacon, which was disappointing. My fries were good and my milkshake was excellent. A lady near me ordered the strawberry one and it looked extra delicious. My recommendation is do not go here if you are tight on time. I had 30 minutes thinking that would be ample time... read more

I had a quick layover and I was starving! I needed something close to my gate that was fast and easy. Modern Burger did just that and more. The Breakfast Burger caught my eye on their huge wall menu. Fresh ground beef, American cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce, and fried egg. Everything in it I wanted! I ordered a single patty which came out to about $8. No fries or soda included. Airport food equals airport price. The burger was fantastic. I didn't really expect much. I was just hungry, period. Pleasantly surprised, the brioche bun was sweet, soft, and buttery. Love it when the starch sticks to the roof of my mouth! The beef patty tasted fresh and delicious, while the bacon was of abundance. Rarely the case and of all places, they got this down. I wish the fried egg had a runny yolk but that's already asking too much, huh? Nice and pleasant staff over the counter. Seating is limited. Just a bar with a few stools and a couple tables for two. Turnover is fast since everyone's rushing to a flight somewhere. Not bad at all! read more
Came here while waiting for our flight out of Phoenix. Let me get this out of the way, customer service here was HORRIBLE. Like your worst nightmare horrible. The lady at the counter actually looked like she wanted to stab me for ordering something. No joke. While we were eating our food one of her coworkers actually yelled something very profane. That's the kind of establishment you're dealing with. However, the food was pretty good for airport food. Not the best burger you'll have, but overall pretty good. I simply had a cheeseburger and it wasn't overly priced and was decent enough. If you're in this airport and have some time to kill while being hungry, I'd suggest this place unless you can find something better. read more
I needed to stay around terminal A and gave Modern Burger a try. They do pre made salads that look tasty and I had a Chinese Style Chicken Salad in my hand I was about to get and changed my mind thinking a fresh made breakfast burger might be better. I may have been expecting too much since I was expecting a yummy burger tasty like a Zinburger. But what I got was more like a really good fast food type burger. Like what a Whopper Jr might be like if it was good. It was a very thin small patty maybe the same size as a Whopper Jr beef patty I guessing a two oz. patty. I do note the patty was cooked nice but not so tasty. The bun was soft and eggy tasting but a lot of bread for the little patty that didn't fill the bun. My egg slice was cooked very hard and was chalky. It was sort of messy with thousand Island dressing squirting out all over. Depending on how you look at it the burger was really good if you compare it to a Whopper Jr but it cost like 5x more or it's lousy if you compare it to a burger you cooked in a pan or on the grill. I should have went with the Chinese Style Chicken salad with canned oranges on it. 2.5 Stars read more

It's airport food so I wasn't expecting much. But the bacon in my BLT was thick cut, it was delicious and they weren't miserly about it. The right amount of all the rest of the ingredients and as I take my last bite they announce that they're boarding my group. Toss my trash and I'm headin' home. Perfect! 2013 #47 / 365 read more

I decide to use the remaining money left that I could expense in this place because they seem to have pretty good reviews. The burger is nothing special; in fact, it was just mediocre at best, I could not even hold the burger properly with my hands, as all the ingredients spilled all over the place, and so I have to grab a fork to actually eat this "burger." The bottom bun was soggy, and the meat patty was pretty burnt. The non burnt sides of the party was solid, but I think they did a sloppy job producing this burger, which was a disappointment. read more

Yes Arizona has quite a few locations I know one in Phoenix and in Gilbert!
