At one point there was four shoppers, and only himself, and he never left me (or the other clients) hanging. Yesterday I went to a shoe store in Solana Beach on 101 that treated me like dirt, so this was quite a pleasant contrast. When we first arrived, we had to wait about 15 minutes because the salesperson was late opening the store. My mother was looking for a pair of sandals in the exact same style and color as a pair she has owned for many years. The salesperson, who had a European accent, ordered the color my mother wanted and told us she could modify the insert for approximately $30-$40. About two weeks later, we returned to pick up the sandals. At that point, my mother purchased an additional insert, costing approximately $200. The total purchase came to $549.53. She repeatedly assured us not to worry and said she would "make it right." Unfortunately, when my mother got home, she immediately noticed that the sandals did not fit or feel like her original pair and was very unhappy with them. We returned to the store and requested a refund. The salesperson initially resisted the refund and repeatedly told us that she would lose money if she refunded the purchase. I explained that this was not an appropriate way to treat a 90-year-old customer and that we would dispute the charge if necessary. She eventually agreed to take back the sandals and the expensive insert, but she still charged my mother more than $90 for the original modification. I asked to see exactly what had been done to the sandal. What I saw was essentially a small piece of cotton with a small piece of rubber attached to it. I was shocked that we were being charged more than $90 for this. The salesperson claimed it took her approximately 30 minutes to install it. I personally witnessed the work, and it took approximately five minutes. She also refused to refund that $90 charge and would not allow us to take the piece of material with us. We are now in the process of disputing that portion of the charge. The issue here isn't simply the money. It's the way the situation was handled. My mother is 90 years old, and we expected honest pricing, good customer service, and a willingness to make things right when the product didn't work for her. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We left feeling that my mother had been taken advantage of, and I cannot recommend this shop based on our experience.

The employee explained that their policy is to just clean the dirty, used shoe and resell it for the new price-- and that my particular pair of shoes came from STORE 697. The ENCINITAS location. It was explained to me that the employee at that store , (employee number 295956) who prepared the order didn't clean the shoe before they resold it to me for the new price. I've been a rewards member for years And have been shopping at famous footwear my whole life. That ends today. Order from an honest seller. Reselling dirty shoes for new prices is not only unhygienic but it's unethical and bad business practice. I'm Disgusted that I've purchased ALL of my kids shoes through this company. It was also a special run to celebrate 10 years of Fleet Feet, which was very fun. Lots of shoe demos here by Saucony, Hola, Addidas, etc. There was also a snow cone truck here too, free cookies and beverages were being given away. I couldn't stay for the raffle but heard a $200 gift card and some sneakers also given away. Yea! I'll def come back for this Wed fun run club! Will alternate between Lake Miramar and here! And oh the store had lots of running apparel for sale but also running shoes with consultation available. I will be back!
