Love Zeus resturant. My favorite thing to order here is the rib tips. It comes with rice/fries, coleslaw, garlic bread, and a bunch of rib tips slathered in bbq sauce. So much food. Also would highly recommend getting a side of garlic dressing, perfect sauce to dip the fries in! It gets busy at lunch time, so I always call ahead to order. I had the #1 Gyro Sandwich and everything about it was tasty. The ordering is counter service but the food was out quickly and the staff was very nice. The ambiance is very basic for a quick service restaurant but you don't need it to be anything more. There are a few tables with a TV and some seats at a counter. Oh, Zeus- where have you been all my life? I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH! I come here at least once a week for my favorite Greek salad in all of GreekTown! The women who run the register are SO SWEET and the cooks are equally friendly! While I never have dined-in, I love the Anthony Bourdain mural on the wall. There is a decent amount of seating for the size of the restaurant- take advantage of it if you can! You get so much QUALITY food for the price- I love that they include pita bread! This is one of the more affordable spots in Greektown serving up good portions and pretty solid Greek fast food. When you walk in, the menu is up on the wall and you order at the counter. The staff are nice and the inside ambience is very casual and clean kept. I ordered the Pork Shish Kabob Plate, which came with 3 pork skewers, rice (you can choose fries or rice), and a Greek salad. It was a great value-- for the price (~$13 total), the portions are large and satisfying. The food was flavorful, though not outstanding. The pork was overcooked and dry, and the pita was well-toasted but tasted a little stale. The salad was fresh and tasty though, and the rice was quite fragrant and flavorful. Overall, I would recommend this place for a super quick, casual, affordable spot if you're craving a truly filling portion of Greek food. The rice was a little mushy and I like less mush but some like it mushy but it was good. For $15 plus tax ($17 ish) you get a platter of chicken and gyro meat plus salad with excellent vinaigrette sauce with very fresh salad and a choice of rice or French fries. I decided to take a chance on Zeus as the normal go to place is Mr Greek for gyros. I could only give this 3 stars as there was problems with my order. The food itself was good and reasonably priced. I ordered a gyro sandwich with everything and a gyro salad with feta and olives and Greek dressing. I requested no onions on the salad. So what we got was gyro sandwich minus the onions and a salad with onions minus the feta cheese and olives. Mind you the feta and olives is already included in the salad so it wasn't a special request. I wasn't thrilled with the Greek dressing. It didn't even look like dressing. It seemed a little like tzatziki sauce not as thick. I called to let them know abt the missing feta cheese and olives on the salad and they said next time they can give it to me with my order. I may give them a try again. But the location is and can be congested. I was lucky today I found parking. But you can't always be that lucky. read more
