Free pizza

I came across a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle night at the Zero Lounge on IG, and it caught my attention so much that I decided to go. There was a $15 per person cover charge, which included two free drinks and free pizza. The vibe was awesome, very nostalgic, and it brought back memories from when I was a kid. The drinks were reasonably priced, and of course, the movie was great. I liked that they made the movie very interactive like, we drank when a certain word was said, and people could leave funny comments or GIFs that would pop up on the screen. If they show another great movie, I might be coming back again.

Pretty dead when I was there but it was early in the night like 9:45pm. The drinks tasted good and I like the way the place looks. Definitely more of a place to sit than to dance it felt like. Fairly small.

Drinks were sooooooooo good! Tasty, fruity, and strong. Interior and bathroom are clean. I like how the staff was cleaning often. However, it took forever to get one of my drinks. It had a custom foam print on it and I saw that it was done but it took 5 minutes just to get it because the bartender was too busy taking another order. I would have ordered more if service was quicker. Parking was $25. I would come here again though the drinks were just that good. Love the interior

I attended a Gui Fieri look-alike contest at Zero Lounge and was in flavortown all night! The venue is a curated Y2K themed gem in Hollywood just down the street from other venerated cultural institutions like the Funko Museum. There is space for dancing, there is space for lounging; the unique charm and theme can't be found anywhere else. You can carry a conversation without Naruto running to the smoking lounge, and you don't have to use your cosplay's megaphone to order from the very kind bar staff. A secure and walkable parking lot just a block away, friendly security, a genuinely nice manager who genuinely supports the DJs and performers, an N64 controlled easter egg video game, affordable pizza down the block, it's pretty much the hangout spot in Hackers - and I'm going to start a rumor right here that Angelina Jolie was spotted hanging out last weekend. The Fieri themed event was a blast (literal fire), and the creative energy in the room was contagious. Zero Lounge is always partnering with super talented creatives, and I could tell that a lot of care and thought went into crafting an experience that celebrates fun, originality, and community. I'm already looking forward to my next chance to log-in! Overall, I'd rate my experience a solid 1999/2000 stars (see what I did there ;). If you're seeking a unique, spirited night out in Hollywood, Zero Lounge is definitely worth checking out!

Had my Britney birthday party and it was incredible. The staff was super accommodating and just lite us like, totally let loose when it came to throwing a themed birthday party here. The crew here has a genuine passion for nostalgia. The music, the drinks, and the vibes were so on point. I'll be back next week for Sunday karaoke!

This place is awesome! Came here for a Y2K burlesque show by Minx Pop, and it did not disappoint! The owner Kevin is extremely nice, and the male bartenders were fun! They had great music, and good vibes. They also had really good mock tails, and drinks you can have stuff printed on! 10/10

Zero Lounge is an incredible hidden gem in Los Angeles that you don't want to pass up. The ambience is fun, relaxing, and the energy picks up and gets intense on the dancefloor without ever feeling overwhelming. I came to Zero Lounge and was immediately greeted by an incredibly charismatic doorman before I stepped in to an arcade retrostyle tunnel with neon lighting. The venue has amazing drinks themed with millenial taste, and very high quality ingredients. My friend Mark who doesn't drink ordered a grapefruit mocktails and we watched the woman squeeze the grapefruit and garnish it with dried fruits. It was so awesome. There are also tomagotchi and smuckers drinks that come with small PB&Js affixed, and the tip jar was for rugrats v hey arnold. Hey Arnold for life as a new yorker. The venue has seating where I connected and danced with new friends and was able to speak personally for HOURS. I was able to go outside in a smoking area with privacy, return and enter no cover, and I ended up staying all night dancing to many incredible artists who SHREDDED nineties hits. every time i got fatigued, Kesha or Natasha Bedingfield or HOOBASTANK came on, i HAD to get up for HOOBASTANK WHAT?!?!? my father kicked me out of the car when i was twelve for telling him HoobaSTINKS! THIS IS IMPORTANT HISTORICAL REVERENCE IN THIS BAR!! i never dance til one am. I was completely sober. There is true dedicated community here, blended with tourists and newcomers, and I can tell the staff are committed to its value. They were conscious and respectful the whole time and I made friends with them. Here are pictures. There are pokemon. You should go.

I was scouting locations for my upcoming birthday celebration, so one Wednesday night I decided to stop by Bar Lis and see the space for myself. When I arrived, the rooftop happened to be completely empty, which actually worked out perfectly because I was able to really see and appreciate the venue without all the usual noise and chaos of a busy night. That's when I met Cole, who gave me what felt like my own private VIP tour of the space! He took the time to walk me around, explain the different table packages and options, and discuss what might work best for my birthday. Shelby joined us shortly afterward, and they were both extremely helpful with their feedback and recommendations. I never felt rushed or pressured, which I really appreciated. I ultimately decided to celebrate at another venue, but NOT because I didn't like Bar Lis. The other venue simply had no minimum and made it easier for my guests to come and go throughout the night without potentially having to wait to get inside. Bar Lis is extremely popular, and I know there can sometimes be quite a line outside -- which says something about how popular this rooftop is! Even though I ultimately went in a different direction for my birthday, Shelby and Cole still left such a positive impression that I wanted to recognize them. Thank you, Shelby and Cole, for the helpful consultation, great recommendations, and my own little VIP sneak peek that Wednesday night! You both made the experience memorable and demonstrated exactly what great hospitality should look like.

We were initially charged $300 just to enter, by the bald black security in the front with no bottle or table service included. Once inside, when we attempted to go upstairs, security told us we would have to pay because we had 3 guys with us!!! We would have not been charged if it was only us girls. What made the situation even worse was watching other guests being allowed upstairs without being asked to pay the same additional fee. When I questioned why we were being treated differently, the security guard told us that if we weren't going to pay, we would have to "wait until he decided" to let us upstairs. I felt completely singled out and discriminated against, especially when we could clearly see that the same rules were not being applied to everyone. Despite everything that had already happened, we still ended up spending almost $1,000 on bottle service. After spending that amount, we were then told that we would not receive a sign because there was now supposedly a $1,000 minimum required to get one. This was especially frustrating because we had been at Bar Lis just ONE WEEK BEFORE, purchased a bottle for essentially the same price, and received a sign without any issue. There was no mention of a $1,000 minimum at that time. How does the policy suddenly change within one week, and why was none of this communicated before we spent our money? Between the $300 entry charge, being told to pay another $100 per person to go upstairs, and then spending almost $1,000 on bottle service only to be given a completely different explanation about their minimums, the entire experience felt misleading, inconsistent, and extremely unprofessional. This also did not feel like an issue with just one employee. Multiple employees were involved in the way the situation was handled, and management did nothing to make us feel that our concerns were being taken seriously. For a venue that presents itself as upscale, I expected transparency, professionalism, and consistent treatment of guests. Instead, we experienced unexpected charges, changing explanations, disrespectful treatment, and what I personally felt was discriminatory treatment. After spending that kind of money and being treated this way, I will absolutely not be returning.

This review will be unique as it will review No Vacancy when it hosted Uno Social Club…read more I am not a super fan of Uno, but it is something to do, something to get me out of the house, and when I have played Uno I have had a good time. One time I got so excited I banged the table and the glass dropped. It happens when one is seeking a reverse card to save their life! The place is suppose to be a play on a hotel I guess, but to me it also kind of looked like a haunted house. A bit. Do not imagine cobwebs, ghosts, and Jason props. It was more haunted in color and shape. Like a haunted house that was formerly excorcised of the devil and all his minions and no was in its fixer-upper phase. I guess one might have to look at the pictures to understand where my thoughts went. When I entered the energy was building. But it was such a slow simmer that I felt like Uno would not pop with revelvery. I went exploring after first entering garden, into their main foyare. I saw an upstairs. I was not allowed to go up. Apparently, there was a VIP section. Oh what is up there, I asked one of the staff members and he did not respond. I asked a patron that was walking down the stiars? What is up there? She seemed like she did not want to answer. I said an elephant? She said, heat, it's hot up there. So now I am left to wonder what was up those stairs at No Vancy and kind of irked that I am left to wonder what the flight of stairs held at its end. I was backed in the garden, thinking of what would happen next? I saw a brave soul ask if he could join two to play a game. I did the same and soon I was in a card game with two other people. What was great, is that they had the house rules posted, which were apparently the official Mattel rules. And like for example, I always played Uno in the following way: if you did not have a certain color you ate from the pile till you got a color or another card you can play like the Wild card? But here you only ate one, and if it could be played you could, and if you could not then it was the next player turn. I realized that I kind of wrote an instuction manual. I kind of wanted to delete it, but then I remember when a plate is salted it cannot be unsalted. I played a player who was into the game. I know that people are like why are you so into the game? But when two people are into an ordinary Uno game it stops being ordinary. It does not become a clash of fabled warriors inside an arena with lions and leopards. But it does become competititve in a fun way, where no one tells another to chill just because they want verification of a play that might turn the game on its head. What I thought the Uno Social people did very well was engage us all. They sat down a guy next to us. He became the fourth of our Uno game. Inspired by the staff member I asked someone else to sit and we became 5. We played a few games and had a good time. One of the staff members gave a winner of a round a Love Island expansion pack. Who knew? Saul and I then peeled of that group and went to get some drinks. The drinks at this place were smooth and strong. I got an Uno themed one. I could finish it in one gulp if I wanted too, but I did not, I was not in a race. By this time the place was, in my opinion, too packed by Uno players. It was the kind of packed that if you wanted to stand up you were afraid too because then you would lose your spot and then you would be amidst the crowd trying to find another spot that anchors you to place. The crowded bar made one feel like they were a sardine in a party. And no one likes to be a sardine anywhere. Having no elbow room is a type of torture, not water for sure, but still anxiety inducing. Another Yelper described this place as a human zoo, perhaps I should have left it there too? This place is close, like steps from Hollywood Blvd. So I can see how it can be part of a bigger night. Stop by and if one does not feel the vibe one can bounce to another spot. There are plenty around the areas. But if one gets to here when they host an Uno club that is definetelty the move!

Every single plate was on point. The branzino was the standout -- crispy almond crust, fish cooked perfectly, not a dry bite on the plate. The crab cake was all crab, no filler, and the caprese was fresh and simple the way it should be. The real star of the night was Scott, the bartender/owner. He took care of us from the second we sat down, recommended everything we ate, and went out of his way to make Edward's birthday feel special. You can tell he actually cares about the people in his room, not just turning tables. That kind of hospitality is rare. It's become so much more than just one of our favorite bars and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The biggest reason, though, is the people. Hospitality is something that's hard to fake, and the team here does it effortlessly. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted like an old friend. Over the years, the staff has created an environment that feels welcoming, comfortable, and genuinely personal, and that's something that's become increasingly rare. Matt, Sabrina, and the entire team are all such gems. Scott also deserves special recognition. He's a huge part of what makes The Rendition Room such a special place. Whether he's introducing a new cocktail, sharing the story behind a spirit, or simply taking the time to check in, his passion and care for every guest shine through. It's people like Scott who transform a great bar into a place you truly feel connected to. On our most recent visit, we tried the new Decade & Debauchery cocktail, celebrating The Rendition Room's 10 year anniversary, and it's phenomenal. Balanced, and beautifully executed. The restaurant is gorgeous! There is something incredibly charming about the combination of the warm lighting, fireplace, and open-air dining area. We were seated in the corner beneath the open sky, facing the fireplace, which made the entire experience feel especially intimate and memorable. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was wonderful. Our server gave us complimentary brachetto wine on the house, and we loved it so much that we got another glass. He also recommended the crispy manzanilla olives as an appetizer, which was not our first choice, but I'm so glad we did. It was a unique take on olives and they were so crispy, flavorful, and addicting to eat. For the appetizers, we had the meatball and the crispy pork belly and watermelon. We split the main entree, the mushroom papardelle and added mac and cheese with hand cut frites. The pappardelle were fresh and flavorful. The meatball was also generously portion but for me, the star of the show is the mac and cheese. I also loved the crispy pork belly with watermelon as a contrast of savory and sweet. By the time dessert arrived, I was already pretty full, but I'm so glad we made room for it. We had the sticky toffee cake and it was fantastic. My biggest recommendation is to save yourself the headache and use valet parking if you're going during peak hours. We went after 9 PM on a Sunday so there was plenty of street parking in the area. Firefly is one of those restaurants where the atmosphere, food and hospitality came together to create an experience that feels genuinely special. The only reason I'm giving them a 4 star is the parking situation and also because our frites were overly salty. We asked to send it back to the kitchen and they were kind enough to take it off the bill because we barely touched it. Definitely a restaurant I'd recommend for a romantic dinner, celebration, or simply an evening when you want to enjoy good food in a beautiful setting. I would skip out on the frites and try their other foods though.

We went anyway, even though there was nothing extra special to celebrate but life, health and friendship. First off, finding parking was insane- and there was filming across the street taking up nearly all the parking for blocks- I tried. just Valet it rather than walk 6 blocks in heels. Entering this place for the first time, I was enchanted, - treated like a VIP from the parking staff, the door security, host team and servers. Our table was next to the fire place and under the open sky. I could see immediately why this place is loved for the romantic and charming ambiance. We'd planned to share a few plates but then found the prix fix menu and that made it easy. Half a fresh baguette and soft delicious butter with balsamic arrived and it was amazing. The appetizers arrived, heirloom tomatoes with burrata were the best I've had in L.A. and my friend ate most of it himself. Tuna tartar was good. Next the entrees- steak frites for me and the braised short rib for him. The steak was huge filet mignon, with a side of delicious French fries. One suggestion- eat the French fries as hot as possible. They were great and I almost missed them, focused on the steak and sharing the braised short rib with pomme puree and a mushroom sauce that was excellent. The portions were unexpectedly generous. I did not have a lot of room for dessert, but creme brûlée a sticky toffee cake were just incredible. I can't wait to come back with a less fussy dinner guest because he made what would have been an epic first visit less enjoyable than it could have been. Thanks to the several wait staff and manager who accommodated above and beyond. This place is my new favorite L.A. restaurant! I highly recommend you bring your special people to this special place.
