On top of that it is a gallery that offers classes too that you can buy art and support local artists. I had their spicy 7 tofu wrap on my end while my wife ordered another wrap. Staff here was absolutely friendly and courteous with us especially with no other guests inside. Prices were a bit above average with moderate wait times but the food itself was absolutely filling making the wait time worth it. They have a dessert menu too after which has a small selection of sweets. Overall, I was blown away from my visit here. Highly recommend coming back and visiting when you get a chance!

Then--by pure luck--we stumbled into Hangout Cafe after dinner next door, and WOW... this place saved us. They have an amazing selection of drinks--coffee, tea, bubble tea, bubble milk tea, and bubble milkshakes--but let's be real, I was there for the bingsoo. Choosing was tough because everything sounded incredible, but I went with the strawberry bingsoo, and it was next-level delicious. Light, refreshing, perfectly sweet... 10/10. The service was fantastic, the cafe was clean and cozy, and there's even a parking lot (major win). We left already planning our next visit. Even though they are both cafes, they are very different. Gianni's is more of an Italian bistro. Nicollette's is a cute coffee shop with a nice cafe menu of pastries and breakfast foods and sandwiches. I believe they have some lunch items like paninis and salads, but I don't right recall as I was there on a Sunday morning. What I found interesting with this coffee shop versus others is that they open at 10am and not the normal 8am or 9am on a Sunday morning. When I arrived (about 15 minutes prior to them opening the shop), I found plenty of parking on the street. Behind the building there are more parking lots, so there is plenty of parking for the restuarants, bars, and shops in the immediate area. Upon entering the shop, there are little clusters of seating areas all over the cafe. The clusters have cushioned chairs, couches and comfy seating - not a hard seat in the place - which is perfect for meeting up with friends, grabbing an expertly made coffee drink and a delicious treat, sandwich, or salad. I ordered my go to: an iced oat milk mocha latte with an extra pump of mocha and some kind of pastry. On this occasion, I ordered a Nutella and banana crepe. When it arrived, the crepe was the size of the plate. It was sweet, but not too much, and had a nice blend of Nutella and banana, but it wasn't drowning in Nutella, which is often the folly and failure of other places that use this hazelnut spread. We had a lovely time and they don't shoo you out as more people arrive. The staff is friendly, the music is not too loud, and the ambience is conversational. It's a great location to meet up with friends and colleagues in Palatine. A place I will surely revisit.
