I was soo ready to give it five stars. The food and presentation overall deserves a 5 star. However, the wonton soup was wayyy too salty, we suspect that they mistakenly salted twice because none of the other dishes were that salty. Secondly, the service was a bit too slow. We sat down for 10+ minutes, five of us with only two sets of utensils. They did have a really full house and were very busy, but it still took like over 30 minutes to order when most of the tables already have their food. So now to the good parts, their papaya salad was one of the only ones that's not spicy and not too sweet. Everything about their papaya salad was perfectly done. The Guay Teow was good but flavor is not as deep as what we had from another chef. The Lad Nar noodles were done really well, sauce was good too, but it's a tad bit spicy even tho the menu doesn't indicate spicy. We asked for tofu but they gave us chicken instead, which is fine. The sauce was a bit too salty at the end but still very good. The California roll seaweed was a bit tough for my littlest. I liked that they had microgreens and a candied tangerine. The fillings for the potstickers and the wonton are pretty generic and flat, but of course neither is Thai or Japanese so it's fine. Their plating overall was really good. Ingredients very fresh and you can tell they put intention and care into making the foods. The price reflects that. We would definitely come back to try other items on their big menu, in particular interested in some of their other salads given how good the papaya one was. Also hoping the overly salty was just one off situation. I have high hopes for this place!

Cozy with a modern flare of Thai and Japanese decors. Delicious authentic Thai food that delivers the spicy flavor. The papaya salad was spicy and drench in fish sauce that wasn't over powering. The pad see ew was packed with chicken and veggies. Noddles a wonderful chewy texture. I love panang curry and Sushi Plus Thai definitely hit the flavor with this dish. We ended with some mango sticky rice. Sweet, coconuty and yummy. Ripe mango that has enough tart and sweetness. Our server was friendly and professional. Definitely a new favorite spot in Palatine.

New place just opened this month and decided to check it out. We ordered the lunch special that includes an appetizer and entree (Pad Thai + Veggie Egg roll & Pad See Ew + Golden Bags), spicy tuna, spicy shishito peppers.

They wouldn't allow it, which was surprising because other sushi restaurants I've visited have been much more accommodating--especially when the substitute item is equal or lower in cost. It definitely started the meal off on a frustrating note. I ended up ordering the Salmon Bento Box, and overall it was below average. The salmon didn't taste very fresh to me, and the grill marks looked more like they were added for appearance than from an actual grill. The whole dish just felt a bit off and not what I was hoping for. Between the lack of flexibility and the underwhelming food, this visit just didn't hit the mark. With so many other sushi places nearby that are more accommodating and offer better quality, I'm not sure I'd return.

It's been since December that $75 of debt that shouldn't be on my charge card has been on my charge card for food that caused poisoning. They claimed finally today after many months to refund half the bill because my mate didn't puke. So apparently puking is the refund threshold. Not having dry barely edible rice. This restaurant needs to be investigated. They can't even seem to find my transaction. Check the f'ing point of sale machine. Dispensary has records for sales going back to 2020 for me. If you can't keep proper records for your products sold you shouldn't keep your money. Losers. Got a half refund. That's a half assed apology. That's a "IM NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN!"

I believe we ate lunch on a weekday. The service was ok, a few of the items we wanted to order were not available. Their sushi chef was not there that day, so no sushi was available to order, along with one or two other entrees we wanted to order. The food was average, nothing that stood out as great or exceptionally bad. The one thing I remembered thinking positively was the curry chicken rice plate. The curry sauce was good. The chicken wasn't the traditional breaded chicken cutlet, rather pieces of chicken karage, which was good. I don't know if it would be fair to say we'd never go back to try again, but we do have places we really like near by, so it isn't likely we're going back anytime soon.

A bowl of soup that I can get for $8.99 at the local Asian marts food court costs near $20 This is just another hack chain restaurant trying to bilk money. Don't open your damned restaurant if you don't have tofu. Thats basic Asian. Don't bother opening if you don't have your flagship soup or sushi and just have crap available. I finally got fed up after ordering sushi getting told that out of stock and then ordering fried tofu which is in the damn supermarket across the street. That too out of stock. There were people at the restaurant, but it was not super crowded so when we ordered our drinks, it took quite a long time to get the first round so we're a little confused about that. After our drinks, we ordered our Nigiri pieces and we waited for quite some time for those to be completed and then we thought to ourselves maybe we should've ordered all of our food together because by the time we get our rolls, it will be like 10 PM at night. The pieces finally came. They were good and then a while after we got our sushi rolls that we ordered for our entrée. They were also very good. The best one was the one that I posted in the pictures. I forgot what it was called, but it was a spicy roll of some sort. The service was slow, but our server was also very nice. The drinks were so so but the price point for the drinks was not bad so I'll give them that. It always looks very nice. Inside in the room is well lit. It's not super dark but it's not super light so it's a nice little date night spot. I would suggest going when it's not busy if you don't wanna wait five hours for your food.

It was pretty busy, probably because there was a food fest happening outside, but we were seated on time. I started with a blackberry mocktail, which was refreshing and not too sweet. For appetizers, we tried the lobster and shishito peppers -- both were delicious! The lobster paired perfectly with the dip, and the peppers had just the right amount of flavor. Unfortunately, service was on the slower side. Our server checked in only occasionally, and the entrées took quite a while to come out. I ordered the teriyaki salmon, which ended up being overcooked and a bit charred on the side, so it wasn't very enjoyable. The couscous and veggies that came with it, however, were really good. Overall, it was a nice spot with great ambiance and appetizers, but the slow service and overcooked entrée left me unsure if I'd come back to this location.
