Sushi Plus Thai is a new addition to the food scene in Palatine. This small and intimate restaurant is big on flavor and excellent food. My husband and I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the salmon poke bowl. The sweet and sour chicken was very crispy and had an amazing sauce. The salmon and vegetables were fresh. Everything was a hit at Sushi Plus Thai. It comes highly recommended.

Good sushi and Thai food and beautiful presentation. Service was decent. Ambiance is nice, casual spot, nice decor and murals on the wall. Prices are on the higher side but its a good spot to dine for a large menu and variety. Beer, wine, sake and some cocktails available.

Sushi taco with crispy wafers. Presentation is beautiful.

Excellent newish restaurant. Plenty of parking. In a strip mall a few stores south of Palatine Ace Hardware. Cute and clean interior. Excellent sushi tacos, very unique. Peanut chicken was fabulous. Yellow tuna nigeri was very fresh. Mango Thai drink was so good. They have carry out as well. Service was fast and friendly.

Five Stars for sure. Sushi and the waitress(es) were super phenomenal. Very fresh and tasty ( the sushi, people come on !) Had the Burmuda Triangle, Geisha Maki, Mango Sunset, and the Tropical Breeze. The one thing is they need more staff. Granted it was Mothers Day and their Sunday special - but people were lined up to get their pickup orders Apologize for the quality of my photos. My mouth was quicker than my camera

Cozy with a modern flare of Thai and Japanese decors. Delicious authentic Thai food that delivers the spicy flavor. The papaya salad was spicy and drench in fish sauce that wasn't over powering. The pad see ew was packed with chicken and veggies. Noddles a wonderful chewy texture. I love panang curry and Sushi Plus Thai definitely hit the flavor with this dish. We ended with some mango sticky rice. Sweet, coconuty and yummy. Ripe mango that has enough tart and sweetness. Our server was friendly and professional. Definitely a new favorite spot in Palatine.

I was soo ready to give it five stars. The food and presentation overall deserves a 5 star. However, the wonton soup was wayyy too salty, we suspect that they mistakenly salted twice because none of the other dishes were that salty. Secondly, the service was a bit too slow. We sat down for 10+ minutes, five of us with only two sets of utensils. They did have a really full house and were very busy, but it still took like over 30 minutes to order when most of the tables already have their food. So now to the good parts, their papaya salad was one of the only ones that's not spicy and not too sweet. Everything about their papaya salad was perfectly done. The Guay Teow was good but flavor is not as deep as what we had from another chef. The Lad Nar noodles were done really well, sauce was good too, but it's a tad bit spicy even tho the menu doesn't indicate spicy. We asked for tofu but they gave us chicken instead, which is fine. The sauce was a bit too salty at the end but still very good. The California roll seaweed was a bit tough for my littlest. I liked that they had microgreens and a candied tangerine. The fillings for the potstickers and the wonton are pretty generic and flat, but of course neither is Thai or Japanese so it's fine. Their plating overall was really good. Ingredients very fresh and you can tell they put intention and care into making the foods. The price reflects that. We would definitely come back to try other items on their big menu, in particular interested in some of their other salads given how good the papaya one was. Also hoping the overly salty was just one off situation. I have high hopes for this place!

New place just opened this month and decided to check it out. We ordered the lunch special that includes an appetizer and entree (Pad Thai + Veggie Egg roll & Pad See Ew + Golden Bags), spicy tuna, spicy shishito peppers.

We ordered from Thai House Restaurant! I was in the mood for some Tom Yum Veggie Soup and Pad See-Iew. We also ordered Hawaiian Chicken and Fried Rice. For starters we had Mee Krob and Fried Vegetarian Won Ton. The Mee Krob is one of my favorites. The sweet and sour sauce mixed with crispy rice noodles topped with fried tofu is really good. And the fried veggie won ton has a perfectly seasoned tofu stuffed inside. The Tom Yum Veggie Soup had that yummy tang that hit the spot. The veggies still had a nice crunch to them. The Pad-See-Iew was sweet but not too sweet. What I really love are the veggies and the smoked / charred taste to them. It's like the wok has years and years of seasoning embedded in it. So good, The Hawaiian chicken was cooked just right. It was not dry and was very juicy and it was great with the fried rice. I've never eaten inside the restaurant as we tend to order on lazy Sundays. Every time I order take out, from here, the food is ready with the time promised. It's a mom and pop with a few employees, but the operation is well run. Overall, Thai House was ok.

Every entree comes with a side choice--the Tom Yum soup and chicken potstickers were both solid options. As for the mains, it was a bit of a mixed bag: Massaman Curry (Chicken): Rich, full of flavor, and absolutely essential to pair with rice. Papaya Salad: Outstanding--super refreshing with a great crunch. Pad Thai & Pad See Ew: Disappointing protein quality. The chicken in the Pad Thai was dry, and the beef in the Pad See Ew was sliced paper-thin and equally dry. Basil Duck: Surprisingly bland and lacked flavor. Overall, some highlights, but the meats and flavor consistency could definitely use some improvement.

To clear things up about their dining area, they have 2 small tables outside and 1 small and 2 big tables inside. Small tables - 2 chairs. Big tables - 4 chairs. On weekdays, you don't need to make a reservation. On the weekends due to their limited dine in area, I would recommend a reservation to be safe. You can make a reservation through Google/Yelp or phone call. Parking is easy since it's in a strip mall. There is also a 3% charge if you use plastic. Just a note, I tried looking at their food pictures on their website, but it kind of runs slow. Sometimes it would freeze. I think they need to fix it. I would return here to try other items. I would highly recommend ordering off their Malaysian menu instead of the miscellaneous. Don't order orange chicken or General Tao's chicken. Very cringe because you can get that literally anywhere. Get the Malaysian food because it's hard to find in Illinois. The owner is very sweet and the service is attentive. We ordered lor bak, nasi lemak, Hainanese chicken rice, hokkien mee, and kuih talam. Just a FYI, the portions are very generous. For 2 people, I would recommend ordering 2 dishes. Prices are reasonable for what you get. A pot of tea is $6. -lor bak 5 - I highly recommend this appetizer. It has crispy pork sausage with shrimp fritters, beancurd, and cucumber. It comes with two sauces. Everything was delicious. -nasi lemak 5 - I love the chicken rendang. The meat is very tender and it has a deep flavor. You can taste the spices that went into it. -Hainanese chicken rice 3.5 - I gave Penang Malaysian Cuisine a 4 because the rice was delicious. HD's version, the rice was not as moist and flavorful. The chicken was not bad, it's about the same as Penang's. It could be a bit more succulent without the sauces. -hokkien mee 4 - this won't be as tasty as in Malaysia. I liked the big pieces of shrimp, an adequate amount of sliced pork and hard boiled egg. The broth is still very good. If it's your first time having this, I still recommend it. -kuih talam 5 - I would suggest this if you like pandan. It's not sweet. It has a soft and bouncy texture.
