She took me to a table and Vivian assisted me. She walked me through viewing the menu and how to mark up my order. It's a small menu so I personally felt the problem was what to order just for myself because I wanted to try everything, but also the prices were so reasonable if you wanted to order five things so you can try a bunch, Do IT! I wanted the scallion pancakes but in other places I'd typicpair it with some sort of curried meat but Vivian recommended the Beef Scallion Pancake so I gave it a try. It was decent, not my favorite and it was slightly cold. Next time I'd try the scallion pancake and chicken karaage which is not saucy but it looked like it might make a good pairing. I got the crabmeat and pork dumplings and they were delicious and made well. I liked the condiment station on the table with soy sauce, chili oil and vinegar. I saw people loved the Dan Dan noodles so I got them to go and I got some beef pan fried dumplings to go and everything is just really yummy. My friends and I had a girls night out at this restaurant. What a great choice it was! It was decorated very nicely. Our server was very kind and helpful with making decisions of the items on the menu. They offer a variety of items on the menu from starters to boa buns to steamed dumplings. We started with the hot sour soup, which was amazing! The flavors and spice was definitely there. We followed with the scallion pancake, which was authentic and tasty. After that, we had our dumplings. One of my friends ordered the truffle dumplings which she enjoyed very much. The other two of us ordered the veggie dumplings. We went around 315 this afternoon, there was quite a wait (45 minutes) but we waited and walked around the other shops that were in the area. THE WAIT WAS SO WORTH IT !!! The hostess Christy was absolutely amazing, we asked her what she recommended and we tried one of everything she was so so right! EVERYTHING that came out was DELICIOUS! Overall the food is good. I really can't speak on the soup dumplings, which I know they are known for because my toddler ate most of them and small bites I got, I couldn't tell one dumpling from the other with the exception of the truffle. The stand out dishes were the Mongolian beef, the chili wontons, the baby ribs, and the chicken karaage, in that order. I would definitely order these again. The ambiance is modern, which I appreciated. My son and I came here, having very little experience with this kind of food and we REALLY enjoyed it. He got bubble tea and we shared 3 items. Pan fried bao buns, pan fried dumplings, and the Dan Dan Noodle. All 3 were a culinary delight! Plus the speed at which the food arrived is faster than any restaurant I've ever been to. And the food came out piping hot! All of the staff we encountered was so friendly and sweet. This place really was such a great experience and the ambience was really nice. My only word of caution is if you have food allergies, check with the server when ordering because the menu doesn't have warnings other than to say something is spicy. The Braised Beef Noodle Soup was the standout and I highly recommend it, the broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were perfectly al dente. The Pork Truffle Soup Dumplings were also excellent and came in a unique dark dough, which made them easy to identify. And the crispy outside is probably half the reason I loved it. Soup dumplings are good and the sampler is nice to try all but I'd stick to the pork filled ones as the chicken wasn't impressive nor did I care for truffle (I don't like truffle but my bf loved the truffle one). I had read the dan dan noodles were going to be very peanut y but I didn't find that to be the case. Maybe they used peanut oil or something idk but didn't seem like it had any peanut butter base (like how peanut sauce is made with pb and hoisin). The noodles were meh for me. Beef scallion rolls were good not great. The sauce on them is pretty sweet (too sweet for me). Pork ramen was good and light but the broth lacked any real depth. They have glass windows to the kitchen to see the hand made dumplings in action. We got the shrimp and pork soup dumplings and Signature XLB soup dumplings. I like both of them. I think their skin is a bid thick. But they hold the soup perfectly. I still prefer thinner skin. We also got the braise beef noodles soup, signature Bao pan fried, sweet and sour baby ribs, zen chili wonton and beef pancakes rolls. Among them I like the baby ribs and noodles. Service is excellent. Very quick and responsive. There table stand foundation take too much space and is inclined. It is not comfortable for long term sitting for legs to rest on it. Tons of parking in this plaza with nearby stores of Barnes and Nobles, Five Below and across the way TJ Maxx and Old Navy just to give you an idea of where they are. We were the first for lunch at 11am. No lunch specials - they have the same menu all day. They give you a piece of paper and you mark down what you want and how many. There's a QR code on the table and it shows pics and prices. First things first we ordered from the apps. We had the braised beef buns. There are two. They are ok compared to others I have. It also has a piece of lettuce and a slice of cucumber and a few thin slices of beef with a slightly sweet salty flavor. We also ordered soup dumpling samplers. These are great especially if it's your first time. They come with 6 of the following: 1. Truffle - Least fave bc I don't like truffle. 2. Crab - Fave 3. Chicken 4. Pork 5. Shrimp - 2nd Fave 6. Beef Many of these also have pork within them in case you don't eat pork FYI. The dumplings are a little bit smaller than palm size, and since they are handmade they may not have the same amount of broth. We had the Shanghai dumplings as well which are pan fried. Those were my fave fave. They put a flour egg crust on it and that makes it so tasty. Lastly, we had the Dan Dan Noodles. The flavor can be addicting - a peanut or sesame flavor, but it was very spicy. So if you love heat, this may be for you. It doesn't have any meat with it. It's so awesome to see a restaurant specializing in dumplings open up here in Brandon. This location is in Regency Square. They have other locations in Orlando and Jacksonville. It has only been open for a little over a week, and it's already quite popular. I met a friend for lunch on a weekday. The best time to go there is right at opening time. We had the dining area to ourselves for a little while. It filled up very quickly. Our server (Rose) was there for us every step of the way. She offered great suggestions and answered all of our questions. We didn't try any of the bubble milk teas, but I can tell you that the hot jasmine green tea is excellent. Yes, and served in a beautiful cherry blossom decorated pot. Loved it! I just had to get their Signature XLB Sampler. There are 6 different flavors. It's the perfect dish to start your dumpling exploration. My favorite flavors are the truffle (black dumpling) and the shrimp & pork (pink dumpling). I love the others as well, but these 2 are my absolute faves. The crabmeat & pork is my 3rd favorite even though it didn't have as much soup in it as the others. We also shared the Braised Beef Buns, Shanghai Dumplings, and Dan Dan Noodles. The beef buns were my least favorite. I'll try the pork belly ones next time. The noodles are absolutely tasty with the mix of sesame paste (or peanuts) and chili oil, although it was very spicy. I could feel a little of the numbing effect. The level of spice lessoned as my taste receptors got used to it. It was my first time trying them, and I'm officially a fan. I'd totally order it again. The Shanghai Dumplings were also a big hit. It was all very tasty. There is soy sauce, vinegar, and extra chili oil at the table if needed. I really appreciated having the thin wisps of ginger as an accompaniment. It really adds to the flavor of each dish (especially the XLBs). These are handmade dumplings. You can see them being made behind the glass window. That was great to see on our way out. They make it look so easy, but it's not. Yes, it's a little pricey but worth it. I can't wait to go back. There are so many other items that I want to try. I'm hoping my husband will love it too.
