I have been here a few times via Uber Eats where I ordered and picked it up myself. Very nice staff very attentive and super friendly. This time I decided to dine in. I was greeted upon entering and seated at a table immediately -- it took a few minutes for someone to come by my table and take an order, but they answered all of my questions. My order consisted of: 1. Unsweetened iced tea. Likely from the soda fountain but decent. 2. Pork dumplings. Served hot and steamed. The pork is well seasoned and very tasty. . 3. Duck noodle soup, ordered for an egg allergy and not spicy. So let's talk about this duck soup. First of all the broth is not that salty, but has a lot of good flavor. The noodles are perfectly cooked and the vegetables are fresh! The duck is is very very good. Some may find the duck is not tender enough however I really happen to like it. One thing other folks may not like is the fact that the duck comes partially on the bone. At least you know it's freshl! If you order this, make sure to take your time with the pieces of duck! I got the Duck Lamen, chicken skewer and cucumber in sauce appetizer. I must say everything was delicious. The broth and noodles was really good and slightly different from ramen but I have absolutely no complaints. I wasn't a huge fan of the duck, but I think I just don't like duck in general but I wanted to try something new. The egg in the Lamen was SO GOOD and the chicken skewer had tons of flavor. No complaints about the cucumber appetizer either. Not too salty, but still flavorful. The only thing I didn't really like was the flavor of the sweet tea and lemonade it was a bit strange. Family owned and operated this place is one of the best Chinese noodle spots in the college area of Tampa. It's run by a lovely couple and they're always friendly and inviting. It's also nice because they explained the menu options a lot more thoroughly if you are a first timer. I prefer to order the braised beef noodle with the thin or flat noodles. The broth is very good very well, balanced, and not overly greasy signifying that they're not using different types of oils and MSG in their foods. read more

We found this place after searching for good soup dumplings in the area and decided to make the 35 minute drive over. We arrived on a Saturday night around 7pm and were sat immediately. Everything on the menu looked delicious and was reasonably priced. We ended up ordering the fried dumplings, soup dumplings, takoyaki, pork belly skewers, crispy pork chop Lanzhou noodle soup and the beef stir fry hand pulled noodles. The food came out very fast and was tasty. The noodles texture was awesome, very bouncy. I loved the soup dumplings as well. The owner's daughter brought over menus and I decided to order the beef stir fry noodles but it was hard to decide because there were so many options I wanted. The flavor and texture were fantastic! After-work meal with two co-workers, hardly anyone there at 5pm on a Monday evening. We warmed up with takoyaki, chicken skewers. beef skewers, and pork burger. The takoyaki were crispy on the outside, soft and savory inside. The skewers were also just a tad crispy, with a strong cumin flavor to them. The pork burger wasn't my favorite. I prefer big pieces of juicy fatty pork belly to the tiny little lean cubed pork here. Our mains were both showstoppers. The stir-fried wide hand pulled noodles were perfectly chewy and coated in the most savory broth/gravy/sauce. Enough meat and veggies in there to contribute their flavors and textures without taking away from the star of the show, the noodles. For lunch entrees we ordered the chicken stir fry hand noodle (daughter), braised beef noodle (hubs) and the chicken ma la pot (me). The food took forever to come out but when it did, it was hot and fresh and delicious! I absolutely loved my ma la pot. I ordered not spicy and with no mushrooms or fungus. The veggies were so tender and the sauce was amazing. Daughter loved her noodle dish also. Hubs wasn't that crazy about his soup and I thought it was ok. Everything seemed quite mediocre for me here. First we had soup dumplings, two lamb skewers and a beef burger. Love my soup dumplings from Trader Joe's. I thought this would be much better since it's coming from a restaurant. Nope. Only good thing is now I know my husband likes it for future reference. The lamb skewers are teeny tiny pieces of lamb cut up and on a stick. Yes we all know what skewers are but I'm emphasizing the size of the pieces. Although if you never had Chinese food in a bigger city nor Asia, then I can see how it is popular with that population. I ordered some appetizers of: 1) beef & cilantro: this was pretty decent 2) pan fried dumplings: pretty sure it's from the frozen aisle from the supermarkets 3) soup dumplings: where's the soup. It had beef, chicken and shrimp and you can get it levels of spicy I had a medium spicy and it was nice, flavorful not overpowering. For appetizers we had the shumai, the shredded potatoes, and the cucumber salad. One of the people I was with had the steam pot which had lots of vegetables and whatever meat/seafood you wanted in it with rice on the side a nice meal for sure. Would definitely recommend. LZL fell into that category of excellence. I ordered Beef Stir-Fry Handmade Noodles. This version of Beef Lo Mein was one of the best I've tasted. Each layer of flavor in the dish was at a perfect level. Instead of one flavor being over-bearing, all were in a brilliant balance. The sesame oil was subtle...the red chili flakes delivered pleasant flavor & a tiny bit of heat...the noodles were fresh & cooked with precision...the beef resembled thin strips of lean roast beef...& the small veggies offered great texture.
