Everything tastes as good as it looks, and to say their food's instagram-worthy would be an understatement!  I'm a carb FIEND so I recommend getting one of their toasts or sandwiches. They're famous for their acai bowls and smoothies as well though! The last time I went, I got their avo toast, peach ricotta toast and their SYMI sandwich. All 3 were amazing. Avo toast: easily one of the best avo toasts I've ever had!  Avo, beet spread, and sesame seeds on freshly baked bread?  What's not to love. Peach ricotta toast:  ricotta and peaches served over whole grain bread, topped with crushed pistachios and a drizzle of Bulgarian raw honey.  Perfect for those of you looking for the ultimate mid-afternoon pick-me-up.  Light, summery and beautiful. SYMI sandwich:  I had no idea I'd love a vegetarian option so much, lol.  Stuffed with hummus, olive tapenade, tomato, Bulgarian feta, mixed greens and served between fresh focaccia, this was exquisite.  Chef's kiss! This is seemingly not a great time to be opening a restaurant, but this is the sort of place that belongs in Dupont Circle. It is a posh Acai bowl and toast place with a few intriguing twists. It's all vegetarian food. It's open for breakfast, while much of the surrounding area is trending towards ghost town at this point. The acai bowl I tried had a nice variety of fresh fruit and noticeable acai bits in the base, but the flavor of that base was incomplete for me. To be honest, it was a bit basic of me, and there were other things on their menu that looked more intriguing. MUST TRY! I don't know where to begin because this place is simply wonderful. I got the Island Refresh bowl and it was so delicious! I loved the base of it and all the nuts and fruit toppings. When you walk in there's a super cute swing that's perfect for an Instagram photo opp! The workers there are so friendly and answered all my questions. I had the chance to meet the owner and as it turns out she's Bulgarian and so am I! We talked for a while and she was very nice and you could see how much she loves her business. I love they incorporated Bulgarian dishes and ingredients in their food! That makes me so happy as a fellow Bulgarian. I highly HIGHLY recommend this place for everyone! Wonderful addition to the DuPont neighborhood - replaced the old Subway on Connecticut. This is a health conscious establishment with great food options and coffees. The food includes açaí bowls and a variety of delicious toasts (at reasonable prices). I strongly recommend the peach ricotta toast that comes on a delicious rye bread. For the drink options, they have smoothies, regular coffees (latte, cappuccino, cold brew, espresso) and health power drinks (like a turmeric latte on steroids). A super cute new addition to Dupont! I saw pictures of Zeleno online and new I had to try their bowls. I had the ace açaí bowl and made it a "rainbow bowl," meaning it included layers of chia pudding and overnight oats. The employees were so kind and friendly, the bowl was gorgeous and generous in size, and the fruit was fresh. It's a little pricey, but you get a lot of food. My only complaints were the giant chunks of ice in the yogurt part and that if you don't eat it super quickly, the three layers of the rainbow bowl taste kind of weird when they mix together. I would love to try a regular açaí bowl next time and see how it compares. Also, while it's great to take the bowl to go for a picnic meal, the inside of the shop is so cute! They have an adorable reading nook and fun seating that I'll definitely take advantage of when COVID has passed. read more

I came with my girlfriends this past weekend on a day of café hopping - similar to bar hopping but in my opinion, much better - and I must say, I am impressed. Though the seating area is off limits, it is Instagram- worthy, and my friends and I definitely took advantage of that. I ordered the Bibi's Beet Latte and it was soooo good!! It's definitely for beet lovers; you can taste all other flavors, but definitely you can taste beets. What I love about this drink and the other drinks on this particular menu is that while they are labeled "lattes", they actually don't include caffeine! According to one of the employees there, the point is to provide a beverage that can give "natural " energy, without the caffeine. And might I say that's a daring yet brilliant idea! There are so many different natural sources of energy, and to place them all in one drink AND make them taste yummy is very impressive! And good news for caffeine lovers: you may add a shot of expresso FOR FREE but only to these select beverages. Pretty cool, eh? My friends all ordered the rainbow açaí bowl and it was also good (I'm not a big fan if açaí bowls. Fight me.) I will be back at this place quite soon. Coffee served lukewarm Sandwich was a confused mess. Arugula, burrata, tomato, avocado served piled on a single piece of uncut bread. Not edible as a sandwich so ate with fork and knife and that's when I realized the bread was soaked with some dressing. Entire thing was over salted. read more

While the smoothie bowls are a bit pricey for the size, I really enjoyed all of the toppings that came with the PB Power Bowl and I could hardly tell that there was zucchini in it! I do wish the actual smoothie base had more peanut butter in it, but I understand that's hard to do when also incorporating different fruits and vegetables. I also tried the Very Berry Bowl and appreciated that they used ripe berries, as there was no bitterness whatsoever, unlike in some berry-forward smoothies. In addition to the smoothie bowls, I also ordered the new Chicken Sandwich and subbed the chipotle mayo for pesto sauce! I thought the pesto was a perfect swap and went along seamlessly with the avocado and mozzarella! Jessica was super helpful and did a great job taking care of our order while also seemingly working the front of the store all alone. They never skimp on toppings for smoothie bowls, and I don't know what it is they put in their energy balls but I get them almost every time I go.
