Very Berry Bowl
Devon K.

Located in the heart of DuPont Circle, Zeleno is a great spot to grab an açaí bowl! Went early on a Saturday and no one was there. The space is cute and welcoming. Split a rainbow Very Berry bowl that was delicious and packed with tons of fruit. Prices are super reasonable and it seems like a great space to have a chill snack or grab breakfast. They have free water which I appreciated (I just wish it had ice in it as it was very warm!) I will definitely be back!

Zeleno is a very nice and cozy place. It was warm inside and the staff were just as warm too. I ordered soup because it was cold outside and the soup was hot and warmed my belly. I enjoyed the chicken sandwich as well.

Stopped in here on a really hot day and was so happy we did! The açai bowl was so refreshing and actually very filling as I got the larger size that has a layer of ice right oats and chia seed layer! The chopped almonds and fruit on top was perfectly crunchy!

Beautiful, quaint cafe with healthy food options! I had the peanut butter toast which was incredibly filling. I also had a shot of espresso which was delish. I'd definitely return for a quick bite in Dupont Circle.

This place is so cute. I love that it's very healthy and has vegan options. They're known for their açaí bowls. I got the island refresher bowl. The largest bowl is actually so much, so I recommend the 16 oz. The blue bass is very interesting like a subtle flavoring. There's alot of nuts on it. The flower is even edible. I wish they put honey on top tho to make it sweet. There's not that many seating but you can work from here. The staff was really quick to make my bowl. I also saw they got sandwiches and salads too.

If you're rolling into the year with a wellness mindset, this coffee smoothie Café will be your friend. They have "power coffees" as they call them with a lot of healthy ingredients. I stopped in for the Bibis Beet Latte and really enjoyed it after my Pilates class. The decor is perfect for a cute photo with your coffee or smoothie. I saw a lot of people studying here so if you're in school or work from home and need a change of scenery, this may be your new favorite spot. The barista's were friendly and efficient. I will be coming back here soon.

Met up with a friend here for coffee and a quick bite. I wasn't sure what to expect but I had passed this place so many times, I thought I'd give it a try. Inside is so cute! It's definitely on the smaller side but there are a few tables in the back for folks to enjoy their coffee and things. I got a latte with oat milk and the Silk Road bowl because the toppings looked yummy (blueberries, coconut, and cacao nibs). I didn't expect for the bowl to look so cute! This was the perfect place for my friend and I to have a casual catch up. So glad I stopped by!

Cute little coffee spot. Good option if you want to try something unique. Cozy seating options in the back that feel intimate.

Although this place was a pretty far and pricey Uber ride from my hotel, it was such an enjoyable treat! My bowl was full of flavor and a great way to start my day! The blueberry muffin was also a delicious treat! I'd definitely suggest trying them out!

I hadn't been to Zeleno in a while. a açai bowl, but decided to go with the very berry (see image). This has to be my favorite bowl by far! The size of the bowl has gotten smaller, no surprise there with everything getting smaller or more expensive. My new favorite thing is the barista, she was so nice and had a smile the whole time. I normally eat outside, but it was chilly, so I opted for inside. Tried to get some work done, but there was a lot of talking going on, so left an hour later.

a gem for smoothies! price is decent (better than what I have seen around DC), it's super cozy and cute inside. Mango dragon is refreshing and delicious!

What a fantastic smoothie I had at Zeleno! I visited Zeleno for some fuel before marching in the DC Pride Parade. When I went inside I absolutely loved their leafy well with a neon rainbow. I am not sure if they always have the rainbow up or if that was special for Pride Month. Either way it was picture perfect and I loved the aesthetic. Their menu seems very Veg friendly. All of their roasts had honey in it which you could probably ask to be excluded or maybe they can replace it with something. I opted to try the Matcha Gotcha smoothie for a nice energy boost and nourishment. This smoothie hit the spot! It was so creamy, and I loved that there was no gritty taste despite blending in many ingredients. The flavor was the perfect balance of sweetness and it certainly gave me the energy I needed to march in the DC Pride Parade. I would definitely return here to try some more of their menu. The service was great, quality was stellar, and location is perfect being so close to the Dupont metro station.

The place has a fun vibe but overall the drinks were fine. Not bad but nothing that would make me come back unless I was close by.

An açaí bowl with no açaí?? Most of their "açaí bowls" don't have açaí in it, so be aware!!! What a waste.

A five-minute walk towards downtown from the Mayflower hotel made Tatte Bakery an ideal spot for breakfast. It also has nice views of Farragut Square. I went with the House Full breakfast that included Applewood bacon, eggs, potato fritters with tomato jam and mint parmasean, and house made sourdough. I was curious to try one of their best sellers - monkey bread, and it didn't disapoint. A solid breakfast with on point service before catching the metro to Virginia. I really enjoyed my visit here and would return in a heartbeat.

There are two different components of Cafe du Parc, the coffee shop and the restaurant…read more Cafe du Parc is inside the Willard Hotel and can be entered from the hotel or via Pennsylvania Avenue. The coffee shop is on the first floor, and offers delicious hot and cold drinks along with a beautiful selection of pastries. This time I enjoyed a cappuccino, and it was spot on. I can't speak for the pastries, but they looked good. The cafe has a cozy/might-overhear-a-state-secret vibe. If you're a visitor to D.C. and reading this, I'd say if you want to sit down and enjoy a coffee in a place with a comfortable atmosphere and handy location, give it a go. Just be aware that it's a bit pricier than what you'd pay at Tatte, and there are fewer choices. This was my second time here, and I would return. On the second floor of the space, you'll find the restaurant Cafe du Parc. I was very excited to eat here. The atmosphere was nice, in a light-filled, non-pretentious way. On the day I was there, there was construction going on and scaffolding on the front of the building that blocked the views of Pennsylvania Avenue. The restaurant was loud, and it was hard to have a conversation. Service was fast and the food came out even faster. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the food was just "meh." This was super disappointing as the prices were a bit high and I was looking to splurge on a nice lunch with a friend. The one thing I wasn't looking for was to be charged $5 (each) for "still water," which I'm not convinced wasn't from the tap. To be fair, the table adjacent to us was having burgers, fries, and other sandwiches, and it looked a lot better than my flavorless Nicoise Salad. My friend had the Spinach and Feta Phyllo Pastry, and said it was good. I'm going to be super generous and give the restaurant a 3 and assume maybe I made a poor choice with my sad salad and the noise level was because it was very busy (Cherry Blossom Season). This was my first time here, and I likely would opt to try a different restaurant next time.

The greeter was charming and courteous but the tone changed as soon as we got upstairs to our table. The food preparers and the female waitstaff were engaged in loud boisterous talk bordering on flirtation. We felt more like intruders than guests. The food was adequate but not worth the cost. Bacon was rubbery and eggs were tasteless. Toast was barely warm. We will choose the Marriott across the street for future DC stays despite the comparative old world architectural distinction of the Willard. Too bad.

This time we had our baby and I wasn't impressed with the lack of sides or anything to get for her. The tuna sandwich asked for lettuce and told can't add lettuce. My husband asked for something not on his lamb pita, same story. Oh well. No customization at all, no subs. Makes business easier, but not as attractive for price point for customers. I'll remember to keep it to coffee and pastries from now on. Chicken pita was good, a bit heavy on the parsley but loved the dressing. Tuna sandwich was a hit. Pastries are always good. My pistachio latte was chewy bc it had grainy bits of pistachio in it.
