I've been to this place a dozen times, but only because its the only bagel shop in walking distance. To be honest I am almost always disappointed in the flavor of their bagels and breakfast sandwiches. The food LOOKS delicious, but lacks flavor, everything bagels are extremely salty and even in the early morning the bagels are really hard for some reason. Great food. Salads are always fresh! The variation in different style tuna is delicious. Get the Mexican tuna. It's made with lemon juice and is light. Italian tuna is made with balsamic and is delicious. The low fat option to most the mayo based foods is great too! I used to go here every day, being that I work relatively close. But as the months have passed, that has dwindled down to once in a blue moon. As the older cooks at this restaurant have been leaving, the food quality and the service has clearly left with them. They are always in a rush, even if the store isn't packed, so there has been several times where they misheard my order, or rushed it so it looks sloppy, or have put in ingredients that I didn't ask for. The other day, I had called to place an order for pick-up. As a long time customer, I know that their grill closes around 4:30-4:40pm, being that they close at 5. That's understandable. I call at 4:10 and they tell me that the grill is turned off, a whole 50 minutes before closing. I tell him, "Oh, but it's only 4:10." And he goes, "I understand miss, but the grill takes a while to clean." I told him to forget my order and hung up. This used to be the hot spot for lunches and breakfasts galore. Now, their gates are down by 4:45, and the price of the food doesn't match the quality of the meal. Very disappointing. read more

The phone people are disrespectful, impatient and nasty when u ask them to slow down. The food is great when they get it right, which they don't almost every time. When you call to complain, it's your fault. You can top them until you're broke-it doesn't matter. To bad I can't post pictures. Some of the stuff is good here but ingredients are often forget in whatever i order. I cant eat a egg and cheese without ketchup and when i order it to find out on the train that theres no ketchup i am annoyed. The next time i ordered again and they forgot it again but i was still in the store so i asked for ketchup and they gave me packets. It saddens me to say that the art of customer service has been lost when it applies to this deli. I walked in looking to see what they had. As I walked in, I noticed an employee behind the counter chatting it up with a customer who he seemed very familiar with. I noticed that he already had received his food so I walked up and waited patiently for the employee to address me. At this time I noticed the manager who didn't seem too concerned that this employee continued with his off topic conversation and did not acknowledge me. I finally received help from another gentlemen behind the counter who was fine as I was able to taste some of there 7 different types of Tina salad which turned out to be "not great". Nevertheless, I didn't appreciate being ignored and I didn't appreciate the manager not correcting the situation when noticed. It turns out that his conversation continued without a hiccup as the other gentlemen and now manager were answering my questions. What happened to respect and responsibility in the work place? This bagel place is either a hit or miss. There were a good amount of times where my order was incorrect (they left out ingredients, or put different ingredients), but I still like coming here because its tasty when done correctly and you never have to wait too long. The employees are also friendly. I absolutely love that they have whole wheat everything bagels but unfortunately they often run out early in the day. They also have several options of flavored cream cheese, which is great. Another plus is that you can get free water, soda, or arizona with your sandwich order. I'm not crazy about their turkey bacon, because it often tastes burnt, and I stopped toasting my bagels for that reason too. Its better when its fresh anyway. What I am confused about is that their menu says that they have a light version of veggie and plain cream cheese but everytime I asked about it, they say that they don't have it. Why is it still on the menu? Overall though, this can make for a decent breakfast/lunch on the go and probably one of the best options in the area. read more
