Another neighborhood favorite. I've never seen them not crowded. So I know their lattes are pretty great and I can tell you the bagels are always on point, especially the sesame bagels. A lot of people come in for breakfast sandwiches and coffee in addition to the bagels. I actually came in just to look and take everything in and the man behind the counter was nice enough to give me a free sesame bagel! How nice was that! Zee Bagels is a solid neighborhood bagel shop. They have a full menu of hot and cold sandwiches that can be made with over 2 dozen flavors of bagels. I had a respectable BEC on a plain bagel and a regular coffee. It was perfect. The space is walk-in only with coolers lining one wall and a deli counter on the other. Very friendly neighborhood spot with tons of regulars! This spot has been around foreverrr, but recently undergone new ownership, so the quality of the bagels aren't the same as what it used to be imo - they're still decent! The menu is pretty extensive and they have tons of other sandwich options, as well as your typical convenient store finds. The place opens bright and early at 6 am and gets pretty busy in the morning, but the service is thankfully quick. Everything is extremely affordable, unlike Manhattan prices. Some days the bagels are fluffier than others, so it's a bit inconsistent, but this place is still my go-to for a quick deli coffee and yummy bagels! read more

The bagels here are not bad! Nice crunch on the outside, good chewy flavor on the inside. A little hint of the sweetness, and this is a darn good bagel. I knock points for the mediocre sandwich. The guy behind the counter let me try the whitefish salad which tasted absolutely disgusting. Then I tried the tuna salad which while better, was overloaded with onions. I should not have ordered it because I ended up throwing away a decent bagel when I should have better thought this one out, rather than throwing it out. The best on this block! Always busy, so we usually have to call ahead for a quicker pick-up. We get our breakfast sandwiches but never on a bagel (I know I know, they're called Zee BAGELS, we should probably try a bagel someday) and it hits the spot every time. Kinda hard to screw up a breakfast sandwich though, so their eggs are also nicely cooked and the entire thing cheesy to my satisfaction. Always get the double meat, because without it, it's quite a flattened breakfast sandwich. If I had to pick, definitely get the sausage egg and cheese - it's the sausage patty, not the links, phewww. My go to for breakfast and lunch if your thinkings eggs, sandwiches or wraps. You pay $7/$8 for a wrap or hero and a free drink. Delivery is fast too. I'll take pictures next time but subway got nothing on them and they on the cusp with bagel boy, I'm my opinion. I don't like sandwiches with more bread than sandwich ingredients and Zee bagels is far from stingy. I also really like their French fries and quesadillas. Favorite wrap/sandwich is Nostrand Ave and grease ball. Tuna melt with plain tuna is also good but I add lettuce tomatoes onion and pickles to make it my perfect. You can get any sandwich in any bread or wrap and vice versa. Breakfast cones with fries or potatoes and a decent sized omelette that you can ask to have any way you like. Z Bagels robbed me!! I came in today to order an egg and cheese with peppers, onions, and avocado on a bagel alongside a large coffee. Sounds pretty straightforward right? Well not to Z bagels. They claimed that I ordered an "omelette" since there were peppers and onions on the egg so they thought they deserved to charge me $9 plus $2 for the avocado in addition to the coffee making it a whopping $15. Wow! Even Bagel Boy who's known for being pricey gives me the same exact sandwich for less than $9. (And it tastes a whole lot better too!) And the craziest thing about all of this is that Z Bagels 3 months ago only charged me $6.50 for the same sandwich I ordered today. I know inflation is bad, but my sandwich increased in price by $5 in 3 months???And the employees were gaslighting me saying that price of $6.50 was IMPOSSIBLE, and said I was making it up. And to top it all off there was not even an ounce of avocado in the sandwich, it was burnt and nasty, and there was no cheese. Plus an omelette includes home fries and toast which was never even offered to me so how can you even justify that price??? One of the reasons people go to a bagel store is for a fresh bagel even early in the morning the bagels taste several hours old this is not terrible but it's not the bagel experience . Recently ordered a bagel while the man was preparing it a friend of his came in and he shook his hand with the glove on that he was preparing my bagel with didn't wash his hands just went back to Preparing the food . I certainly hope that this customer who is his friend washed his hands after the last time he wiped his ass . It seems that these people have no concept of Sanitation . We all enjoyed our morning bagels at Zee, a grab and go no frills place with a couple of tables. The everything was covered in seeds and seasoning. Yum!! Although very fresh, I say go for it toasted! They have your usual suspects, but also a gluten free, whole wheat, and a rainbow bagel. Parents, the kiddos can most certainly split one bagel. I would say if they can agree one variety start with one to share. I noted some fancier cream cheeses such as chocolate chip, jalapeño and mixed berry. Salads such as shrimp, whitefish, egg, chicken, tuna, seafood too. Lox and salmon and all your traditional deli accompaniments like slaws and such. Dirty brand chips, Snapple, cold brew, Martinelli's apple juice. The bagels definitely weren't as stuffed as were used to, but who needs all of that first thing in the morning anyway?! They have simple, super inexpensive breakfast platters with eggs, meat and potatoes. I've ordered here countless of times and this is by far my go to spot for a fresh lox bagel. Typically I order the fresh lox and cream cheese toasted bagel with scallion cream cheese spread. It's made perfectly and taste/aesthetics wise it's a 10/10. Their home fries are also quite good but the cherry on top is their coffee. I'm not sure how but they make it just the way I like it not too sweet or strong but the right amount of caffeine and sugar. I was just at Zee Bagels 5 minutes ago. I had to walk out because I seen some very questionable and concerning behaviors or habits. The guys taking the orders and making them were shaking customers hands with gloves on and making you food with the same gloves on. That's completely inappropriate and unsanitary. I even witnessed one of the guys wipe the counter with a towel and made a sandwich without changing his gloves.
