'Blueberry' streusel muffin, drip black coffee
    Emma L.

Met a friend for early coffee today. Zeb's staff were cheerful & ready to help caffeinate me! I paid just over $10 for a drip coffee, muffin & tip. Blueberry muffin was tasty but had 1.5 small blueberries in it, and had zero blueberry flavor. The streusel topping & buttery flavor were nice, but, no blueberry flavor. Drip coffee was on point; I'm a dark roast drinker drinker and was a bit let down they didn't offer more than one kind of drip coffee, but the medium roast was also good (and now I'm super-caffeinated!) There is some kind of emo music playing that is pleasant; good background music that covers over other patrons' voices. I haven't been in this shop for almost 2 years but have to admit, it's very cosy & I'll likely be back more regularly, now that they're open later than 2pm (previous schedule had made it hard for me to try it out).

My brother and I stopped in on a trip from KC to Lawrence, trying to avoid what we expected to be very full Lawrence coffee shops on Stop Day at the university. Boy, were we happy we made this choice! Zeb's was absolutely charming, cozy, and reminded us of home in small-town Kansas. Their staff was kind, the drinks were delicious, and the community was felt. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Very cute modern coffeehouse tucked in this small town strip. Adorned with plants and local artwork. Delicious coffee and tasty treats. Gluten free options available as well.

Amazing coffee, the best avocado toast I've ever had, and just a great place to relax and visit or read a book.

Honestly, everything looks and tastes very delicious. The food looked exactly like the pictures as well! Service and ambiance is extremely comfy and warm. There's plenty of space to sit, water offered and other utensils, really thoughtful and very organized. Please give this coffee place a try, just be aware of a little pricey but was definitely worth my visit.

Just passing through Eudora on our way to Tulsa and needed a coffee break. Discovered Zeb's Coffeehouse and the rest is history. Quiet inside with a very open space. Yummy looking pastries although we did not try them. Our mission was for coffee. I ordered a cappuccino extra hot and got just that. With a very nice piece of art on top. The coffee was delicious.

Zeb's is a delightful find in a small town. It is a draw to escape the big city. It feels homey and relaxing. A good spot to enjoy a lovely chat or a good book.

It was difficult to decide which I wanted. It was like an assembly line of perfect little treats. The staff was very nice and helpful. The selection seemed endless and they had drinks in cans that were delicious. I had a very difficult time choosing which I was going to try. There is a seating area in the rear of the restaurant. It was full of happy people eating pastries and chatting. It was a perfect setting. I had heard about this place for years but never ventured inside. I regret not going to this lovely place sooner. I will definitely go back and recommend. I guess this is a franchise business with locations all over the US. I am just glad we have one in Lawrence. Still... WOW!

Couldn't believe it when I a friend told me this place has been in operation for years. Guess I need to venture over to Lawrence from Topeka more often! While not the case across the board, we found a number of the items we selected to be on par with the quality of treats we enjoy while visiting France. Needless to say I will be wearing out the Turnpike making return visits to this real gem.

Full disclosure I came here with a lot of uncertainty. There's a TON of coffee shops in Lawrence…read moreand they all aren't created equal. I took a meeting here and the person I was meeting with gave me a few local options. This was the place I hadn't been yet so I thought I'd go a bit out of my comfort zone and try a new spot. Something I was nervous about from the photos on Yelp was if there would be enough inside seating when I arrived for a meeting. When I pulled up, I was still a bit anxious about this as the front lot was full and I had to pull to the back to park. Once I got out of my car and walked through the cafe to the front to order my anxieties about seating had diminished. It's much larger inside than the outside appears and the photos here on Yelp don't really do the indoors justice. Yes, the outdoor seating is really cute and well shaded so I get why folks focus on it, but if you're like me and wanting to get some work done you'll find a comfortable spot here. Now onto the coffee. As I made my way into the shop I noticed one of my art school professors (we both sort of looked at each other like "do I know you?") and I moved on, but that's a good sign. The art teachers usually know where to snag a decent cup of coffee. When I ordered I tried one of their special drinks and chatted with the baristas about it before I made my choice. Extra points here because not only was the drink really, really good, but the girls working were beyond friendly and answered all of my questions. I'm not lying when I say this was one of the best cups of coffee I've had in Lawrence in some time. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Usually I absolutely love Uplift. Lately I've been obsessed with their vanilla orange iced matcha…read morelatte. So of course today I went to the drive thru on 6th to order one. When I got to the window it took a min or two for the girl to notice me. She was on her phone.. which is okay but she didn't wash her hands before starting to make my drink. Then I saw her pull down some cup out of the matcha bin and warm up with whisk with water (totally normal matcha stuff) but then she used the water to put into my matcha and I don't know why that kinda grossed me out. Maybe because it was from the matcha bin cup that's in that bin. Then the worst part was the oat milk I wanted had been sitting out and it wasn't warm but it wasn't frosty cold you know? Maybe I shouldn't watch how the sausage is made you know? But idk it just kinda gave me the yuckies and I didn't wanna drink it. Also just overall tip for Uplift, I think the matcha needs a littttke bit more matcha to milk ratio. It's a bit milk heavy. Also maybe a touch more syrup would be perfect! I'm still gonna go back because I believe in you guys. Beautiful drive thru (to get those ambiance points). But yeah I just would like a little more refined.

Then as we were putting our coats on and cleaning up our table to leave, he turned the lights off on us and left us in the dark, even though there were still employees there behind the counter working. When we said, 'We're putting our coats on, you don't have to turn the lights off on us, that's really uncalled for,' he responded curtly with, 'I already told you to leave,' followed by a cold look. He treated us in about the most unfriendly, unprofessional, harsh way you could treat polite customers who frequent here. There is a right way and a wrong way to go about letting customers know the establishment is closed and they would like you to leave. Especially after we spent $18 on 3 drinks (one was a small toddler drink). This was the very wrong, rude, unprofessional way to go about it. He was very cold and short in the manner he spoke to us and treated us, even in looks he was giving us. It was like he was taking his bad day out on us or something. If you're going to work in customer service, especially at a manager level, this is completely unacceptable, inappropriate, unprofessional behavior and a very rude way to treat loyal customers. We will never come back here because of his behavior, and we'll find another place to meet and have coffee with our friends. There are plenty of coffee shops where managers don't treat their customers this poorly.

I was a barista for 13 years, I have a lot of experience with coffee and even when making an espresso drink- you do not hand out hot coffee in an iced cup. I just asked for a cup of ice to pour it over, done being here. Tastes like trash, no flavor at all. Even my 11 year old son said "that looks nothing like what you order mom" I coulda bought a glass Starbucks drink in the gas station and poured it over ice and it would taste better then what I just got served. I was recommended to this place and I am highly dissatisfied.
