I'll preface by saying I don't usually eat at fast-food joints but we were on the road and needed a meal for that day. My first time at Zaxbys, my in laws praised their salads. They got the Asian one which comes with an egg roll and it huuuge! You can split it, otherwise it's a waste of food, no one can finish it! Maybe too much lettuce? They liked the dressing. My husband and I tried their strawberry lemonade, didn't taste any tartness or strawberry flavor, it was way too sweet, hard to drink. We also got 2 signature chicken sandwiches (just OK, barely any pickles inside) and we each got a side of fried pickles, which was more batter flavor than pickles. Pricy at $35 for 2 lemonades, 2 sandwiches, 2 sides. The place was clean enough, lots of parking and decent customer service. But I wasn't impressed with the food, lack of flavor or too strong. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. So, again, we tried to give this place another shot since it's been a couple of years. Nope, it's only become worse. Tiniest wings, minimal sauce, thin strips, and cold fries. All for $14. I can't fathom how they are still in business. I recently tried Huey Mcgoo's, and it is currently what Zaxby's used to be. I stopped by to grab some good eats to go with my new fire stick!!! Couldn't believe that despite the cars in front of me I was able to order and received my food in less than 15 minutes! I love the grilled Cobb Salads and the Nibbler Sandwiches. I really do not like drive throughs but that's what we have to do mostly these days. I've been grabbing lunch at the drive thru at this location at least once a week for about a year now and they have never disappointed me. The food is always fresh and hot and they never skimp on the amount of fries like some other locations do. The workers are polite and efficient and even when there's a line in the drive thru I don't stress about it taking too long because they never fail to move quickly it's truly amazing I very much respect the work ethic of the staff here. They also always put the correct amount and type of extra sauces in the bag according to my order which is something multiple of the other locations in the area get wrong a LOT. 5/5 best Zaxby's location in the area in my opinion I'm so glad it's on my route between work locations. read more

Just left ordered a house salad fried. I asked if I could order something extra at the window the casheier stated "oh no he won't let us" I'm pretty sure who ever he was wouldn't mind me ordering "cookies" wouldn't mind adding on an it didn't even pay for my order yet. She made me feel like Zaxbys didn't want my money. Then not to mention checked my bag an my salad doesn't look like a house salad an they gave me honey mustard dressing after being twice what sauce an I said RANCH the only sauce I eat. Ok, many of you will ask: why such a low rating? Simply put the service. Wife ordered chicken Caesar salad. She received plenty of dressing. However there was only 3 pieces of chicken, very very small. Why? I got a 4 finger chicken meal, with cole slaw and Fries. My chicken fingers were very very small, more like a chicken nugget. After listening to all of my southern friends rave about Zaxbys, I finally tried it while on my trip to SC. I tried a meal that came with wings, tenders and fries. The wings were meh. I wasn't really impressed with them and the sauce did not taste very flavorful either. But the chicken tenders?! These things must have been seasoned by holy hands, because they were DELICIOUS! Very crispy and so flavorful that I didn't even need to dip it any sauce (sauces were overrated also, imo). The French fries were also seasoned and pretty good. I'd go back just for the chicken tenders though. read more

Disappointed in my experience. I love Zaxby's. I was just craving some fries so I stopped in with my mom. The drive thru line was ridiculously long so my mom went in to get the fries for me. I waited and waited and waited for her to come back to the car. I decided to go in to see what was taking so long. She was waiting for the order and there was only 2 people in line before her. I looked at the receipt to see what time she placed the order....23 mins before I walked in! That's absurd! There's no way it should take that long for a small fry. This is by far the worst Zaxby's I've been to. I would have rated this location with 0 stars (if I were able), but there was one good thing about our visit. The cashier, an older woman with blonde hair, was very sweet. I actually felt bad for her, because she was the only person working a register, and some other customers ended up yelling at her (more on that below). We arrived around noon, and there was a line to the door. That's not a big deal, but I'm sure you can imagine that with one cashier, it took a while to place our order. After we ordered, we filled our drinks (the drink counter was very messy and understocked/missing napkins) and chose one of the cleanest tables we could find. Most were very dirty. We sat at our table for LITERALLY 48 minutes before our order number was called. The long wait was happening to everyone there, mind you... which is what caused the cashier to be berated by another customer. Very loudly. The slow service was definitely not her fault. While waiting for our food, I had time to notice how filthy the entire restaurant was. Not just the tables and floors, but everything had a thick layer of dust coating it. The most disturbing thing I noticed was that the ceiling fans were caked with dust. I can't imagine them being turned on while people are eating. Gag. Ok, so it's Zaxby's. I didn't go into the dining area and ordered from the drive-through. It is a customary experience. My order was taken rather quickly as there was no long lines. I know what I wanted so I just said it and to get exactly what I ordered. The staff was courteous and the person taking the order sounded like she had a smile on her face. When I drove around she looked happy to be doing her job. Now if it's around rush hour, I expect a line, I expect that there may be a delay making more fries if they run out. The food is pretty standard for what you'd expect at Zaxby's but I actually find the service to be better than most restaurants in general. I was in drive-thru and there was a long line. I couldn't have been there for more than 7 minutes and I made a special request. The lady taking my order was happy to make the accommodation and my food was nice and hot I was happy with it so I don't understand what I'm hearing about rude employees. Was in the area today working and decided to eat at this Zaxby's location. First off it was super busy with a long line to the counter; it took us a while to order. Then we waited another 10 minutes or so for our order to be ready; so we were expecting some fresh and hot food. Our chicken fingers were hot and fresh, but the fries were cold and unpleasant. I still scarfed everything down since I had wasted enough time and had to get back to work. Other things like dirty tables, counters, etc were present during my visit. There wasn't one clean table in the entire restaurant and the lunch crowd had not even started yet. My food was Luke warm. I got charged for extra sauce while others walking up asking for it got it for free. The chicken tenders were really small too. We stop here on our way out of town since it is between our home and the interstate. The most recent times the drive thru line has been around the building, but we always end up making it over there around 6. Be warned: they are very slow when they are busy. HOWEVER, my chicken is always super hot, the fries are perfect, and my toast is buttery but not soggy. They also offer Cherry Fanta, which is hard to come by these days unless you have a Coke Freestyle machine, so I will gladly deal with the line anytime. The staff seem overwehmled during their busy hours, but they do put on the friendly front for me, which I appreciate. read more
