It's ok. Typical taste of a regular chicken strip joint but with a little more variety of how you get your chicken.

I tried Zaxby's food today, because I wanted some of their sweet tea, and wanted to see how it compared to some of its competitors. Well, it didn't. The tea was the only redeeming factor of the experience. Sweet tea, and crunchable ice. That's about as good as it gets for you, Zaxby's. The chicken was hot and juicy, but it had almost zero crispiness on the coating, and I got a strange taste of lemon in the food. I don't know if it was a combination of the chicken and the Zax sauce that they gave me, but it just screamed, "HELLO, LEMON!" The chicken pieces themselves were also scrawny, so I feel as if I've been overcharged for this meal. I almost immediately spit out the coleslaw, because it tasted as if they had made it four to five days ago. For scale, I have eaten Raising Cane's coleslaw before, and not favored it. I would eat that coleslaw a hundred times over this one. The fries and bread were just okay. Not much special about them. Keep in mind, that I was one of the first customers of the day when I had this experience. It got so bad, one of the workers came over and talked to me about applying for a job right down the street. It must be pretty bad, that you have to talk about my employment situation, so that I don't have to say a word about your chicken. In conclusion: A chicken died for this harsh kind of treatment. He deserved better. I'm going to Raising Cane's now, to get this taste out of my mouth. read more

I recently tried Zaxbys, and overall, it was ok. I went through the drive-through, and my service was good, and I didn't have to wait exceedingly long. The person who took my order was nice, and my food came out piping hot. Everyone I interacted with was kind and helpful. Chicken had a great flavor. Salad was good. Fries were a little soggy. Big issue. We spent $10+ for the Cobb salad but they didn't put any chicken in it. We got it delivered and didn't know until after the delivery driver left. I know they are new, but you cant forget to put the chicken in the order....this is the main draw. Disappointed. I have lived in multiple other areas where there are Zaxby's and those are great the fries are good and seasoned the kickin chicken sandwich's are good and smothered from top to bottom sitting in a pool of sauce and ranch lastly the teas let you know you in the south with how the sweetness slaps you in the face. But the Longview Zaxby's has let me down. The fries are bland with barely any flavor and seasoning I have even asked for extra seasoning on the next few times of trying them and still they are horrible. The kickin chicken sandwich has barely any sauces and dry I have payed for extra sauce and still went inside and was told that is extra sauce. I call Bull. The tea is not sweet one bit the unsweetened tea at other restaurants is sweeter. I have tried Longview multiple times and ordered multiple items with no improvement. So for now on I am going to drive 1-1.5 hours to Bossier City La for Zaxby's even in this economy. read more

This is the new place in town, ok let's give it a try. I ordered a 3 pc strip and a side of egg rolls. The egg rolls were over cooked, almost burnt. I would not do these again. The strips were just ok. Nothing special. The sauce is prepackaged, nothing special. I am not planning on returning. In my opinion Canes is still better with Chic-a-fill coming in at 2nd. read more

We have been waiting for food for 10 minutes now. They have a problem with drive-thru orders being made. At the same time they have lobby customers waiting. It seems the employees are stressed out. The tiny garbage cans have to be changed fairly often. They ran out of zalads and sweet tea. I heard a call for the money drawer. The seating is very limited. It would suit them better to close the lobby. The previous tenant Five Guys had a lobby only with plenty of seating. read more

Worst Zaxbys between here and Georgia. Don't waste your time or money if you expect to actually receive what you order. Phone number to store doesn't even work. Food is subpar at best, and service is even worse. Well worth the drive to Shreveport if set on wanting Zaxbys. read more
