Zaxbys - Mid-meal update - Fast Food Near Me - Jacksonville, North Carolina

Finally tried Zaxbys. Bonus for having great Christmas lights every year! This is another restaurant with dirty tables and floors. Tables were wobbly as well. I ordered the Zaxbys spicy chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich just had a spicy sauce poured on it. The sandwich was ok. Nothing special. The fries were bland with no flavor. I tired it, but nothing that would draw me back. read more

The food and service is wonderful. Staff is kind and helpful. I definitely recommend dining here.

I'll be honest, i was really not a fan of the food. the atmosphere and service was fine, but i thought the food was mediocre. I may come back to give it another try anyway though. read more

I was excited to try Zaxby's! The cashier at the counter was super helpful and courteous! I ordered a house salad with chicken -because isn't that what they're "famous" for?! Well for $12 for a salad and small drink I guess I was a little disappointed to say the least. You'll notice in the picture that each item is in its corner, nothing blended or tossed. The tomatoes were sliced, not chopped. The cucumber slices were so thick that they were very tough. Then there was some dried onion thing in another corner. It was hard to get to the lettuce. Also, there was some type of bread/toast in another corner. That was pretty good, it had a sweet flavor to it. I was happy that the dressing was on the side. The sad thing was, a very large fruit fly landed on my salad like a fighter jet and never flew off, even with me waving my hand at it. Unfortunately, I was unable to satisfy my hunger because now I had lost my appetite and had to toss 75% of my salad. The last thing is the drink area only offered tea, no soft drinks and the counter was so incredibly sticky, that this could be part of the fly/bug issue. I should've taken my meal to go. read more

We came here recently to get some lunch before the long weekend. The store was empty and there wasn't much people in line for the drive through. The cashier was quick when it came to ordering and took our order correctly the first time. We did have to wait around 15 minutes for our food. The restaurant was clean and spacious. The beverage area was a little gross and sticky though. I do wish there was a bit of consistency for their food though. Sometimes, our fries would have seasoning and other times doesn't even have a drop. Overall, the food came out piping hot and delicious. read more

Banger food quick service LEMON PEPPER SLAPS so good yum yum yum service great mozeltov

Ugh I love Zaxby's there wings make me happy I promise if I lived closer to Jacksonville I would literally go every singgle days no joke

Was in the drive thru from 3:05 to 3:37. Line took forever but it was mainly bc person in front was ordering the entire menu. Workers were nice and apologetic for the wait. Grilled cheese was BLACK burnt completely - inedible. And they gave me barely ANY FRIES at all. Also my brother's meal, they cut the fries in HALF to make it look like he had more fries than he did (he probably had less than I did in total!). Overall just an awful drive thru experience, not going back to this location. read more

I have been here many times and have tried a quite many of their items but the only thing I get from them with some excellent consistency is their club salad with fried chicken. You get alot for your money and a slice of Texas toast. Next to Baba's, this is my go to place for salad. I have always had fresh ingredients and I love those fried onion circles. read more

They spelled my name wrong, but overall service was nice, food was mid, rushed me to get my food.

4/5 for price! Around $7 for 3 pc chicken strip, toast, fries & a drink. I enjoyed the flavors and sauces that came with the meal. Quick service too! I will be back but it's not to rave home about. read more

The food was good and the sauce is like Raising Canes. I kept reading reviews about the seasoned fries so I was excited to try, but there was no seasoning. read more

Puts Caiins to shame! Got a resonable amount for the price. Everything was great quality. It hit the spot in a way a lot of fast food cannot. read more

Got order wrong at first as well as the sweet tea taste like diabetes. WAY TOO MUCH SUGAR TASTED LIKE SYRUP

I had a wonderful experience while dining in, the food was flavorful and crispy to my liking. One of the workers, William, was super sweet, and checked up on us every once in while to make sure we were well taken care of. I meant to post this months ago not sure if the associate is still there read more

The inside is very nice and comfortable and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu was a little bit confusing for us on our first visit, but the selection is decent. I wasn't very impressed with how the wings are cooked or the flavor of the sauces, but portions we're good. I also was unimpressed by the Texas toast, I'd rather have bread sticks but didn't see it as an option. Bottom line is it's decent and you should at least try it. read more

Very good food, very friendly service, very fast. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because the grilled cheese was slightly burnt, but the taste was good as you can see by the picture it got demolished. read more

Zaxbys - Wings & Things meal - Fast Food Near Me - Jacksonville, North Carolina

I ordered three meals desert and a shareable through the drive-through. I live 30 minutes away and did not realize until I got home that half of my order was missing. I called the restaurant and they told me to come back inside, bring my receipt, and they asked for my name so the manager knew who would be coming. I arrived at the restaurant an hour after my order time (since I live 30 minutes away). The manager said that she would remake my items that were missing from the order. I asked her if she would remake everything since the rest of my order is now cold. She asked if I had brought the order back with me I said no she said well then I can't remake your order. I said but it's cold and it's not my fault that you guys messed up the order. She then said that she would remake all of it but next time bring all the food back. I said there shouldn't be a next time. I expected my order to be correct in the first place, but when it wasn't I expected to at least be treated with hospitality and respect because of their mistake. The manager was very rude and not accommodating at all. Truly upsetting. read more

Decided to give this establishment another chance , due to the fact that I have been to other zaxbys and the service and food have been amazing ... sadly once again I was let down , upon finally getting my order I discovered that my bread was soggy , fries were cold , traditional wings were very rubbery and seemed undercooked , and as for the chicken strips (if you want to call them that) they were bite size and cold as well read more

This restaurant serves some of the best chicken strips/tenders I've ever had, especially from a fast food establishment. It is actual all white meat chicken and doesn't taste frozen or process at all. The crinkle fries are great and the coleslaw is flavorful. I recommend the Zax sauce for your chicken. I do wish the drive thru line went just a little faster and having more than one sauce was free instead of $.50 after the first. BUT it's soooo worth it because the food is always hot and delicious! read more

Terrible. I love chicken, like LOVE. So I was very excited when they opened a chicken place here in Jacksonville. I decided to get a chicken sandwich and fries from the drive thru, and wow was i disappointed. The chicken looked fake. There was no chicken texture what so ever. It was really slimy and blah. My total meal for a plain chicken sandwich ( bun, chicken, and lettuce) plus small fries was $8! Not worth it. I had maybe 3 bites and threw it away. The fries were okay. Just basic wavy fries. Won't be returning. read more

I like the staff here they are very sweet. And that is where the love letter stops. If you like overly hot 'spicy' overly fried n' dried chicken mcnuggets then by all means stop on in and have your fill. We ordered 40 pieces of 'chicken' and the only upside is that I will never have to eat that crp again. Nor my friends as conspicuously they touched not one of these over priced items. The celery that was promised was also a no show. The celery was sorely missed as it would have at least been edible. read more

Meal was fine but there is no way to order ketchup through Uber Eats. It's ridiculous. Perhaps add it to your extra sauces menu? Otherwise I won't order from here again! read more

Big Zax Snak, chicken was very salty. My mom had chicken salad, said it was good but not great. My wife had something with chicken tenders and it was also very salty. The fries and soda was good though, so not a total loss. Just not impressed. read more

I dined in and they didn't want to give me a regular bowl because they would have to wash it. I showed up 20 min before they closed but I should still be given the same as everyone else. They also told me that Wings would take too long to cook. I'm not satisfied! read more

I became a fan of Zaxby's grilled chicken offerings while stationed in Alabama, so imagine my excitement when they set up shop in J-ville! I've tried every one of their "Most Popular" menu items and have not been disappointed either with the quality of food or the portion size. The Cajun Club is my favorite sandwich - it's a well seasoned piece of chicken breast served with bacon, cheese, ranch, lettuce and tomato on a toasted buttery bun; it blows most other grilled chicken sandwiches out of the water in terms of flavor, and also probably in terms of calorie count, but who cares when it tastes that good? The crinkle fries that come with it are also a treat. Still my all time favorite, and what I ate again today, is the Blue "Zalad" made with blackened chicken. Let me tell you - the salad gods smiled upon Zaxby's when they built this thing because, wow. This thing has it all; juicy and flavorful chicken, fresh greens, crispy friend onions, and when it's mixed with their Mediterranean dressing, OMG. Not only that but it comes in a generous serving size. I'm 6'2", 190 lbs and I'm completely satisfied afterwards. I don't do fried chicken much, so if you're like me and enjoy grilled chicken, you need to eat here! read more

With some many places In town to choose from. I'd rather starve than go there again. Besides standing looking like an idiot to the absolutely the snotty attitude given by the employees. Eyes rolling. Between the statement, "Someone already took that order" to not one person saying let me take care of that. I'd rather only give 0 s. The customer I was picking up for was upset at me due to the wait. I have to deal with that not the restaurant. Everything with the pandemic this past year, every business needs to capitalize on every sale. If that's the way your employees are going to treat people; you'll have more than 1 upset customer. read more

I like their chicken fingers and fried cheese but their grilled cheese is what I like the best. Food is always hot. Slightly pricey but not overpriced in my opinion. You get a lot for your money. read more

All I have to say is terrible. Service was awesome if they forget to tell you that you can't get extra sauce of any kind at the window cause they charge you extra. Also forget to ask what sauce you want when you order. Try to give them exact change, and before you hand them coins the said they already put your cash through, couldn't even count an extra $.13 to give me back a dollar. What a joke. When I get my food the cup was full of ice and 3/4 full of liquid. Pretty much 4 swallows and gone. When I ask for a dipping sauce they pretty much said oh well outta luck. Fries were soggy as well as the bread, chicken seemed under cooked so I cooked it longer at home to be safe. Glad I will never eat at one of these again. Maybe it's just the night crew there tonight but I would have been ashamed as a business owner and shift manager for sure. read more

Came to this location on Saturday, March 19th, and placed an order, totaling approximately $27.00. The Zaxby's at this location has recently implemented some new drive-thru operation where their employees will come up to your car with menus and make you pay for your order before you even reach the drive-thru window. The whole thing feels super rushed so it is understandable how mistakes are very easily made. After placing my order, I pulled up to the outside pay area and handed the girl my card. She runs my card through the register twice and then turns to me saying, "Sorry, our system is being really slow. If you pull up to where you get your food they can take your card there." Okay, no problem. Got my order and paid with no further issues. Well, today I checked my bank statements and I saw that I was charged for this order twice, costing me approximately $54.00. I am beyond pissed, as this has left me with almost no money until payday. If this girl would have just waited a few extra seconds to make sure that my card really was not charged, this would not be an issue. But she was very obviously more worried about saving time with orders, which is ridiculous because there were only two or three cars behind me. Unfortunately, I discarded my receipt as I didn't foresee this issue, so I doubt anything will be done. Zaxby's please train your employees to pay attention to details and stop placing order time above customer satisfaction. read more

This place is one of the best places to eat. My family loves Zaxbys, and the staff is usually very helpful and courteous.

GREAT customer service and Great Food, but they're still not better than Canes! If you never heard of Canes go look that shit up!

Did a pick up order and although it may be our fault for not checking (my husband didn't know what I ordered) they left out an entire meal. Will never be going back. read more

As far as fast food chicken places, Zaxbys is on point. Everytime I've been here I've had fast and friendly service and the chicken has always been hot and not dried out. It's a little more expensive than bojangles but it also taste better. read more

Was super impressed with the food we were served the first day it was opened ... My husband and I both ordered the chicken finger plate (so so so good!!) Although we had to wait 45mins in the drive thru line, it was worth it (and completely understandable!) However since the grand opening it seems as though they aren't taking as much time to insure a quality meal is served! The last time I went I ordered the chicken finger sandwich and it was just thrown together and my bun was as flat and shriveled as could be... Chicken was still good though!! I also have to say that the service from the ladies taking orders and cash... Top notch and so polite! I'll assume my last visit was just a fluke and hope for the best next time! read more
