Pure disgust Tables weren't wiped off some had trash sitting. I started to take my kids to Chick-a-Fila or McD's follow your gut. A door dasher came in with his personal Core water bottle empty(thought he'll ask for cup-No), the Cashier and another staff member was familiar with him allowing him to place the rim bottle inside the spout to catch ICE in a water bottle do the measurements. There was no hand sanitizer available in the lobby. I threw our drinks away luckily we all had ice cold drinks in the car for the hot day. Going forward with any similar drink machines I know to ask for the cashier to fill hoping it would be less contaminated w/ potiential communicable germs. I have a love hate relationship with this location. They definitely have work to do with their workers. Most of the time they are very rude and dry over the speaker in the drive thru. The problem is they have too many teenagers working at this location without proper training. The presentation of the food is thrown together sometimes. It's franchised and they have no issue with deterring from the corporate model and don't dare question out of curiosity they'll tell you what the recipe calls for.. instead of being proactive and solution-based. All the employees are there to collect a check but truly have no desire to do their job which includes simply being nice or caring. The only good thing about this place is the drink machine. Pictured below it's supposed to be a chicken tender but it looks like a chicken ball sack. So disappointing paying $12 to get five kids chicken tenders. Please for the love of god just go to Bojangles instead of this poor excuse of a Zaxby's. The customer service was absolutely horrendous. My husband walked into the establishment to make a purchase when greeted by an employee stating the dining area is closed they just forgot to lock the door at 9:30 pm. We drive around to the drive-thru to be greeted with we have no grilled or boneless wings. Husband placed an order while placing an order the young lady is laughing with another co-worker. Pulling around to the window, the young lady repeated the order back and he told her that was not his order. She closes the window talked with another young lady that has a headset on as well. She handed him his drink and he told her it was with NO ICE. She takes the cup back, pours it out fills the cup up with ICE, and hands it back out. He stated ma'am I ask for no ICE. Travonsh takes the drink back pours out. Tay a co-worker walks up and Tay and Travonsh start having a conversation. While having the conversation Tay looks in the car with intimidation. We asked to speak with the manager. Tay proceeded to state she is one of the managers, we ask for the other manager on duty. Ms. Alicia T walked to the window with a listening ear to hear or concerns. She couldn't hear us speaking because Tay felt like she wanted to be disrespectful and speak over us. It's very disappointing how she conducted herself and how disrespectful she was to her manager. So I never leave reviews AT ALL because I work in food service, but man you can only take so much. This lady at the counter didn't say, didn't ask me anything, just stood there and stared at me, then I proceed with my order and another guy walks up and she begins talking to him, so I stop and wait for the them to finish (mid-order) and she rudely goes "are you gonna order?" To me.....while she's still talking to someone else. I said no and walked out. Prefacing this review, I have worked in the food business since I was old enough to work, so I know how it generally works. My girlfriend and I care to this location after ice skating and wanted to quick food. I'm not a snob, I'll eat greasy, crappy food and love every second to a point. First of all, the employees were rude in the "I don't care about my job" kind of way. They hardly spoke clearly and didn't help me with ordering at all. Okay, I can get over that, maybe they've had a hard day. Though when they called the food orders it was almost impossible to understand which ___teen number was called out, and when I got the wrong order, they acted like it was my fault. Again, whatever. When I finally got the food and sat down, I found three separate hairs in the food (which was over cooked and bland). Lost my appetite real quick. Won't return. The wings were cold but the chicken and fries in toast were perfect in hot. The cashier was very nice and helpful . She even came out to attend me when the drink machine messed up. I usually come to Zaxby's for hot wings combo (5 wings, celery, fries, Zaxby's sauce, and a sweet tea). I tried hot wings at different restaurants before and none of them are as good as Zaxby's. The House Salad is also good and is in big portion (skip the toast, it is soaked in oil). One thing I want to mention, since their location is in Hickory Hollow Mall, I have never actually went inside the restaurant so drive-through was the way to do it (I come late). Normally I don't check my order when they passed it through the window but 2 times, I received the wrong order when it was busy. My fiance turned me on to Zaxby's back when I lived in Tx and I didn't really see the big deal. She on the other hand loves this place for some odd reason. I will say that the sweet tea is off the hook! (really good) And I did get a chance to try a grilled chicken sandwich that now I am hooked on! I almost didn't come hear after seeing recent reviews and my husband's experience a couple of weeks ago but I had 4 hungry 10 year olds who just went ice skating at Fords. So we stopped here and I was pleasantly surprised. Justin was very patient and joked around with the kids as they ordered and paid for their food one by one. My husband went a couple of weeks ago after ice skating and he said he had a bad experience when an employee had no choice to bring her kids. While that can be understandable at times, he said they were rowdy, running around bare foot and were distracting. Hopefully that isn't a reoccurring thing there. I swore off Zaxby's thinking they were all horribly managed. Decided to give one more try - in Hermitage on Lebanon. Incredible experience. Night and day. Clean. Friendly staff. Food was cooked perfectly. It was an enjoyable experience. And even though the Antioch, Nolensville Rd and Brentwood locations are more convenient, I will only way Zaxby's when in Hermitage. Zaxby's certainly had more choices on the menu than either of those. My wife and I both really liked the Cobb and Asian Zensation salads. My order was a Kickin chicken sandwich meal. All I asked for was no ranch, they made me pull up to the curb to wait for my food which I waited 20 minutes ....Maybe even more for my food. I later get home to find there is no sauce on my meal nor on my friends wings...... if you're going to take longer than 20 minutes at least make the food decent.
