Call ahead of time to place your order. Right now it's pick up only. We were uncertain if we were at the right location since it's a bit of an unusual and unassuming location. The other reviews are right: the food is good! You will not get bland food. read more

I've been craving a good crab meal for a while but with all of the new spots popping up in Nashville I wasn't sure where to go. One of my gal pals recommended Get your Grub on and also gave me fair warning I would be going to a garage! The owner Mr. Green welcomed me with a handshake, a personal touch I appreciated. I went with the crab leg platter which included corn, broccoli, potatoes, sausage, & shrimp. He made it fresh so allow about 20 minutes if you don't order ahead. He has a huge TV and satellite radio to entertain you while you wait. When he brought out the final product I just had to stare at it fora bit. A. Work. Of. Art. Once I got past the beauty I dove in. Instead of the normal butter sauce you find on these meals he has a special grub sauce that has a spicy kick that I love. No oily mess, straight flavor! I could have ate a pound of the shrimp alone with the grub sauce. I have a new favorite to get seafood! read more

Call/text ahead to place an order. To-go orders only; no dine in because of Covid. It's not your traditional kind of restaurant, but the food was delicious nonetheless. The guy is very kind and polite. I love to support local businesses as much as I can, so we were really happy to have found this place. Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo is one of my favorite dishes. The sauce on this one is amazing. It's so flavorful, thick and creamy. The chicken is also moist and cooked perfectly. I love a fettuccine Alfredo with lots of veggies, and this one had some spinach sprinkled in. It's big enough to split between two people, and the leftovers were just as delicious. I do not eat seafood, but my SO got the Seafood Trio. I tried the rice, and it was covered in a really yummy sauce (maybe a Cajun sauce? Not sure). The food was packed with flavor. The silverware packet also included a mint or lollipop, which I thought was a nice, cute touch. The driveway is uneven and is marked with the orange cones. It's also a pretty small lot, and there is no signage visible from the road. Overall, I definitely recommend trying this local eatery. We will be sure to stop by again the next time we're in that area. read more

Fried Catfish- Good but we like it fried crisper Seafood Trio- Good just a touch salty (blackening seasoning) Shrimp Tacos- Very Good! Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo- DELICIOUS! Great food & Great customer service means we will definitely be back & will spread the word about "Get Your Grub On" read more

The process of ordering makes you feel uneasy and very hesitant. I had courage this night and decided to risk it. And it was WORTH the risk! I got 2 cat fish plates my food was DELICIOUS, the owner came out and spoke to me and my gf and he was sooooooo nice! I felt valued and I'm so happy I took that chance. I'm not gonna lie I was really close to just going like nahhh because the ordering process is NOT orthodox but I gave it a shot and in return I ate some of the best food in Nashville read more

Wow you have to try the Seafood Trio... I'm a native of New Orleans Louisiana and Cajun food is my thang... This seafood trio has all of the Cajun spicy without been overwhelming hot. Succulent shrimps with blacken fish served over a bed of saffron or yellow rice...Ummmm. DELICIOUS. I was very satisfied with my food, the prices, and the service!! The owner and family were very friendly. I'll be back! I can't wait to try more of your tasty food. read more

Get Your Grub On is an AMAZING hidden gem. Do not overlook this place. As a pescatarian I gravitated to their diverse menu while looking for something to grub on near Antioch. It's takeout only, definitely for foodies, and they cater! As a born and raised Southerner I feel I have an excellent gauge of a good catfish sandwich. Their catfish sandwich was better than I expected, truly the best I've had in a while! The mac and cheese was great too, but it was the lemon pepper asparagus that stole my heart! ALSO DON'T SKIP THE GRUB TEA. I don't know what the heck is in that but it's fire! Thanks again Grub On! I will be back! read more

The food here is absolutely amazing!!! The customer service is amazing!!! The best seafood in town (and maybe anywhere else) hands down. The chef definitely makes each bite with the best quality and love. I'm almost afraid to write this review out of pure selfishness to keep this diamond of a place hidden from the masses. The setup has an urban vibe, and can be easy to overlook as it is in a house, but don't let appearances fool you. The food here is some of the best in town. read more

Listen if y'all have not been introduced to Get Your Grub on, you are missing out! The food tasted amazing. I ordered the Seafood rice (Freshly grilled Shrimp and crawfish meat served on top of freshly prepared Yellow saffron rice and a bed of sautéed spinach). His customer service was even better y'all! Listen this man walked me (an overgrown 26 year old ) to my car with an umbrella because it was raining and i didn't even ask for it . Look , you won't get that type of treatment NO WHERE (except chic-fil-a) I highly recommend Mr. Green and his business! Everyone knows the best meal finds come from the most unexpected places. I found the best seafood in Nashville in a chef's Dallas Cowboys mancave garage. Yep you read that right. I came on into the garage and felt right at home. The owner, Darrell, treats you like family and explains the menu. I ordered the crab legs which came with broccoli, corn, potatoes, shrimp and sausage. You get to choose your type of sausage so major plus. I chose turkey. The meal was outstanding. The seafood was freshly prepared at that moment and the crab legs slide right out of their shells. The level of seasoning is on point and the grub sauce puts it over the top. My shrimp were big and plump. The broccoli was a first for me in a seafood boil dish but I loved the addition. The potatoes were sliced thin enough to soak up the heavenly juices. Y'all go find Darrell and let him welcome you into the family with a plate of food. read more

Are you serious?? Where have you been all my life. YA'll sleeping on my an over here. There is a huge difference between a CHEF and a cook. I cook, this man creates. And when I tell you not be scared to climb that hill for some of the best food you've ever put in your mouth, I'm serious. This place is out of this WORLD good! I'm definitely calling him for my next catering event, which is next month. my mom had the wings and I'm not sure she even chewed them. I had the Potato/Rice bowl with Shrimp and Crawfish - that sauce should be bottles and sold. I promise I like Genius Potatoes off Jefferson, but they have nothing on Mr. Green. My mom said he putting something on that food like McDonald's does on their fried or Chic-fi-Lay does to that chick. I gotta have this one a week. The portion ridiculous. I ate what I could, then took it home and two more people ate out the plate. And that pasta salad...best I ever tasted. I'm a foodie, a serious foodie. My schedule is busy so me to put this on here is HUGE. This man is probably the most unrated in Nashville. I hear alot of people say, "but it's in the house". I wouldn't care if it was in outside in a tent, I'd crawl in there for my order. You have no idea what those kitchens look like when you eat there, especially in fast food restaurants. Those kids in there, I don't even want to think about it. And then that fruit tea...baby I'd cross the Jordan for that. This man needs to be downtown in one of these Five Star restaurants. He needs to go on Food Network Chopped, Diners, Drives and Dives or something to show the world his skill and food. He's the real deal... If you can't get over the idea of eating in a house, just order it to go. Everything is fresh and cooked to order so give it 20-25 mins. I'd hire him as a private chef for a serious upscale party. He truly has a gift...not just cooking but creating. He did not pay me for the review ;-) read more

Wow! Tonight was our first visit! The service was just as perfect as the food! We are going back and taking more people with us!
