This place was not the best. the service was lacking and slow, even though there were not many people seated. happy hour prices are okay, but the selection is very limited. quality of the food was honestly pretty bad...the chicken seemed not fresh, and the fries were very bland. they also do not give tap water and will charge for water bottles, even if you ask for tap water. bathroom could also use some cleaning. overall, this place could really improve in all aspects, and i probably will not be back to visit.

. Zåtar is a beautiful spot in the heart of downtown Dallas with excellent food and a great atmosphere. However, the hookah lounge falls short of expectations. The equipment feels outdated, the flavors are weak, and the service in the lounge is slow--you often have to flag someone down for assistance. I'd definitely recommend coming here for the food, but would skip the hookah experience.

This is a lowkey go to spot in deep ellum. They have a good happy hour and strong drinks. Their hookah is $15 for happy hour which is cool. The staff is attentive and even changed the tv to show the mavs game.

We were looking for a hookah spot and we ended up having the best meal ever. We were greeted by Chico who came up and told us we could seat anywhere. Of course, due to the weather, we sat next to open windows. Chico was extremely attentive. We ordered our hookah as well as our apps. The Spicy Hummas was the best we have ever had. I mentioned to Chico I wish the Pita was warmer and within 2 minutes he had the warmest, softest pita on the table. We also had tabbouleh which was so fresh and the parsley was not at all overpowering, the perfect balance. Ryan, our server came over and we had the best conversation. He gave us great recommendations on how to continue the night. My girlfriend wanted what she had order on uber eats before, and Chico mentioned that dish was only available to-go. But he made an exception... not only was the presentation stunning, but she said she would never order it on uber eats again. IT WAS THAT GREAT. Thank you Zatar, Chico, and Ryan. What a great night!

I'm glad I stumbled upon this spot. The decorations were nice and the music was definitely an R&B/Hiphop vibe. The customer service was really good. Our server and the hookah guy stopped by frequently to check on us and make sure we were good. I got the lavender lemon drop martini which was super delicious and my guys margarita was good too. The hookah flavor watermelon, peach, mint was good. The only downside of this place is that it gets really cold in the hookah side of the restaurant. The windows are not insulated and you could definitely feel it. The hookah sat between us did supply a little warmth though. I'd definitely go back. Edit: The management let me know that the cold weather hit them by surprise and since have set up space heaters to make sure guests are comfortable. This is awesome!

Love the staff here. Always a nice and relaxed vibe. The hookah HITS and is very affordable! The food is just ok, but it's good for small bites. The fries are bomb and most of the appetizers! Lavender lemon drop is my absolute favorite drink, so refreshing and delicious! Follow me for more! @MissMo2323

I was visiting Dallas, as I waited for my friend I decided to wait at Zåtar. The host was super welcoming and stored my luggage once I walked in. I arrived at 7pm, it was pretty calm not many people. I order mojitos, hookah and chicken wrap. Let me tell you, these mojitos were made to perfection! Perfect balance of each ingredient! I saw a few plates and completely regretted getting a chicken wrap lol but it was tasty! Staff were constantly checking in, which I appreciated! The music was such a vibe both days. Loved this place so much ended up coming back for hookah and drinks the next day.

What a hidden gym. I've lived in Dallas in entire life and was always curious about this place. I attended a Sunday afternoon with friends. The place is separated; one side hookah lounge/ the other side restaurant. We opted for the hookah lounge. I can't comment on hookah experience bc I did not partake. However the food and cocktails were delish. I had the Lebanese mixed grill with chicken and beef kabob. The tabouli was great and good overall was seasoned nicely. The service was subpar and the hummus lacked flavor. I'll be back to taste more menu items. The lavender lemon drop was also tasty

I'm so disappointed... the menu looked amazing! We had reservations, which once we arrived it was empty on the inside. The patio was packed. We were greeted and seated immediately. Then we sat........................ This is the biggest disappointment on service! We had earlier plans and we're starving. We waited.............. and waited....... Then walked out! I cannot understand why on earth restaurants do this? It's amazing to me that this even happens, especially in Deep Ellum we can walk to the next destination. Today businesses can't afford to lose customers. I won't give this place a second chance. Really wish they would have at least got us drinks. That would have made us stay about 15 mins past what we should have.

Good food, quick service, affordable pricing. In the heart of Deep Ellum. Good place to grab a quick bite

It's, well, umm, very average. It is a tourist area. The Sambousek was ok. Tabbouli was ok. Labneh was ok. Hummus was ok Chicken shawarma was ok. Fried cauliflower was ok. It was all ok.

Really nice spot to get hookah, listen to good music and have chill vibes! I didn't get any food here but it smelled really good and they have a full bar!! They was not crowded at all and the people were very attentive! And they had reallllly good hookah with free refills!!

No way should humus be this salty. Really disappointing. Threw most of it away. Chicken inside the dish was seasoned well.

I wasn't very hungry so I went directly for my main course. Had the lamb with yellow rice and a side order of sumac fries. The sumac fries were amazingly seasoned and crisp to perfection. I still think about them. The service was top notch. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in Dallas.

This is the place you bring out of town guests that don't mind hookah in the air. One stop shop for food and fun. Saaya is absolutely beautiful - Indoor and outdoor, the decor is everything. I first came here for a bar crawl I curated for a small group of girls. I made Saaya the last spot on the crawl. I rented the igloo with the karaoke, and we had a time. We had technical difficulties with one of the mics at first, but they were so sweet, they gave us an extra hour. Great customer service. The food, the hookah, it was all good. Now the cocktails, AMAZING. Don't sleep on the mocktails. These are real cocktails with amazing ingredients, I get the mocktails and add alcohol My favorite cocktails - Midnight in Mykonos, Ambassador, and Sunset in Marrakech. Mocktail - Greek Gardens, and add a shot! The hookah is so smooth, and lasts for some time. I always get gum mint. Food wise, I always get the platters and share with the table! You can't go wrong with any of the platters. If you haven't been, check this place out!

Hookah service was bad for my very first time, though there was big party going on and they all looked busy. Ordered from potna mixing and setting up the hookahs. Flavor was mid mild and kinda overpriced but I guess u were paying for the lounge ambience. Ended up kicking it outside on the patio, weather was cool's. Didn't feel rushed even though they were closing. Coals were checked once. Bartender hooked it up with the drank. Crowd was cool, DJ and MC was doing his thing, not mad at all. First time in Dallas, I thought shit might get wild. Hella cops around - so that might have been it. Not always a bad thing, especially for a newcomer. Glad I didn't wear my 9er gear. Didn't even know Cowboys don't even play in Dallas; sounded familiar. Overall had a good time.
