I purchased a top on the website to be picked up at Tyson's. When I went into the store to inquire, the clerk laughed at me because I paid full price on line and the top had been reduced to 9.90$. I contacted customer service just now to attempt a return and once again, I was told to wait for email confirmation.Vanessa was the customer service person. She told me to get a new email account because they couldn't successfully send my e-ticket. (Comcast email/15 years). She also said she was going to "try and make the return for me...." The website is junk. This is a scam. The customer service center is in Florida. Don't fall for this scam. The Tyson's store is a mess. The employees are rude and childish. ZARA HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN GENERAL. I ordered shoes to be shipped to the store so I could easily pick them up. I pick them up, and they are not the shoes I ordered. I ordered heels, and the shoes they gave me were men's loafers. I tried to return them, and they wouldn't let me return it because it didn't match the receipt. I'm like this is YOUR MISTAKE. Why am I wasting my time for someone else's mistake? They told me I had to call customer service. So I called customer service, and they told me they fixed it so I could try to return it again. I try to return it again...and STILL WOULDN'T LET ME RETURN IT. The employees don't even apologize for the inconvenience and neither did the employee on the phone. At this point I try to chat with someone on their online chat...the lady never responded after I gave her my name. I called customer service AGAIN. This lady apologized and told me to give my phone to an associate in the store. In the end, they said I would be getting a full refund back and took the men's loafers from me but couldn't give me a receipt. She said I'd be getting one in my email within 24 hours. Hopefully I get my refund and confirmation. But this company needs to work on their customer service and hire better employees. read more

The worst customer service. I have every received at any Zara location. Zara is one of my favorite brands. I got there on toys day evening around 6pm and the line for the cashiers is ridiculous people start walking away not wanted to wait. They only had one guy behind the register felt so bad for him he was taking or the heat when his manager in fitting room chatting with the other employees I even went to her to ask her for help and her answer was I know we only have one cashier. This Zara location has the worst customer service I have experienced in my life. Placed an online order inside the store in the men's department and the order never arrived to my house. Contacted the store and asked to speak with a manager, no manger is available, the representative indicated that I need to contact LaserShip because she cannot assist me with this matter. Contacted LaserShip and was informed that the package was not located in their warehouse and that the package was sent to the store in error and not to my home. Contacted Zara customer service and was informed that the package was indeed at LaserShip facilities but couldn't track the package for its exact location because it's on a random truck. Everybody is pointing the finger and placing the blame on each other instead of having accountability for dropping the ball at this point! I will never order anything from ZARA ever again! read more

I like their stuff. I am shocked at the horrible reviews on here. I like their shorts, skirts, and some of their tops. You definitely have to gentle wash their clothes, because they will rip apart easily. It definitely is expected. For goodness sake, the clothes are cheap compared to Nordstrom and Macys. I like this location better than the one in Georgetown (closer to where I live) because the parking is easier (during non-weekend hours) and the layout is just better. read more

The manager is such a bitch and the cashier (small black guy) who was helping me was useless and stupid and rude. I brought 2 dresses I had purchased online for returns. It was still within 30 days and he gave me a straight No without even trying to scan the items. I argued and he finally tried and WOW OF COURSE IT WENT THROUGH. I know Zara makes tons of money and I am just a small element, but this kind of service is unacceptable. My grandmother brought along with her a long coat to tale the security tag off because the cashier didn't do it when she made the purchase. Unfortunately, the item was never scanned and not on the receipt. My grandmother did not know this, she barely spoke English. The manager and the same male cashier weren't helpful at all. They yelled at us: YOU EITHER BUY IT NOW OR NOT. I said It wasn't my grandmother's fault when you gave the cashier a bunch of stuffs and that cashier didn't scan this item, we need to know a solution because this is such a waste of time. The manager went: OH SO WHAT DO YOU WANT? YOU BUY IT OR YOU DON'T. Her tone was super arrogant and annoying. We weren't hoping to get a free item, just an apology and a nice explanation would work. I am a very loyal Zara shopper and this was possibly the worst experience I've ever had. I love all the clothes made from Zara, and I would consider this clothing line to be in high end fashion. But, the professionalism definitely needs improvement. I have been in sales for a few years to know the basic requirements of customer service, and our cashier was absolutely horrible from the beginning to end. His greeting was barely hearable and didn't make any eye contact with us. We were simply wanting to return a gift that was too small to exchange for another item. He made a mistake and had to get help from his coworker which is perfectly okay. It's okay to make mistakes. But he was continuously making ignorant mistakes, which made me and my boyfriend highly upset; not to mention the fact that we were on a time constraint and about to be late for the birthday dinner. I had to literally guide the cashier what to do. (i.e. asking to scan the returned item, asking to scan the rest of the items he forgot so he had to make two transactions, asking for our receipt). Finally, the last straw that made me furious was the way he put our clothes in the bags. I was purchasing these clothes as a birthday gift for my boyfriend who was standing right there as well. The cashier did not even fold them properly, but shoved all the dress shirts, jeans, coats, etc in a very unorganized manner. His last words to us were, "Ok, bye." The least he could have done was to apologize for the inconvenience and making us stand there for 20 minutes while the line behind us got longer. I will still come back to Zara for the clothes, because I love them. But I highly suggest major improvements in customer service. read more

Extremely rude store manager at Tysons Corner. She tried to call the store security literally 2 seconds after the store closed on a Sunday night to remove me and my family members, even though we were on our way to pay along with other customers who were also inside. It felt like a personal attack or even profiling, since there were other customers there too, but she targeted us. I understand that the mall closes early on Sundays, and employees deserve to go home, but as paying customer, I don't appreciate the harsh, rude tone as if I am committing a crime just for trying to check out AS SOON AS the store closed. Even worse, I don't appreciate the "manager" calling security to remove just me and my family. I'm not sure if this store is just understaffed or if the sales associates are just slow, but that's how service is: SLOW. The checkout lines are almost always massively long and there are usually only1 or 2 associates working at the registers. Other than that, the selection is always on point, although sometimes the store is a mess. I suppose that's understandable, seeing how popular the store is, however it seems like the staff doesn't feel the need to clean up throughout the day. All in all, I won't stop shopping there, but I'll definitely try to go on days and times when less people are likely to be there. read more

I came back here to update my review because last couple times I have been there I felt like they stepped up. First of all the manager in woman department was very helpful and I felt sense of respect to customers from her. I also noticed they hired more cashiers which helps in a long run although the lines is still there. But overall I felt better about the store. I am leaving here my previous review. "I have to say I like Zara and I used to shop in the store in Europe and in US. But I have to agree about this particular store in Tyson's. I am trying not to pay attention to rude staff but I had negative experience with customer service here as well as other people. Fashion forward, great pricing......but they seem to hire people that never smile, thank you for spending $ in the store and the lines for checkout are always too long while several registers remain closed. It's almost, almost comical at the lack of friendly customer service. As we all know, you almost have to try on the clothes bc M in one style may fit slightly different in another. Shopping online is for sure the way to go in light of sizing. Isn't this the day and age of winning customers over with great customer service? The difference between good and bad is only a slight adjustment in training. And their return policy is weak. I was 22 days over the 30 day return policy on something that still had all tags and the manager made it seem as if she was doing me a favor. Whatever. I have not been in this store for months since it has terrible customer service. Had to go today and nothing changed - unfortunately they have yet another rude manager. I had my hands full and asked if they can hold a men's suit for short time so that I can shop in ladies section. The manager informed me to take the suit upstairs to the ladies section and ask cashiers there to hold it while I shop. I went upstairs and was told in somewhat rude manner that they will not hold an item even for a minute since that is a store policy. I went back and informed the manager in men's department and he confirmed that that is a store policy...but he will make an exception and hold it for me. Why did he send me upstairs carrying clothes in the first place! Why not offer some shopping bags like in some stores... And how about an occasional smile for crying out loud. read more

Many of the clothes are dirty, and if you happen to buy an item of clothing that has a small stain on it like I did, good luck trying to return it! Not only was I accused of making the stain, but it was apparently my fault that there was no price tag. In the beginning they made me feel crazy, because I cannot recollect ever taking off the price tag, but I saw in a previous review that certain employees tend to take it off in an attempt to prevent returns. The manager and certain employees there are very rude and unhelpful. Zara has very nice clothing items, but I highly recommend to not go to this location. read more

I usually do my shopping online to avoid coming to this store location, which is the closest to me. However, I've been to this store a handful of times and every single time I've had a bad experience. The place is usually a mess and the customer service is awful. I agree with the other reviews about the ridiculous lines and only one cashier (even if they have multiple staff on the floor that could help). Once, I was the second person in line and still waited for over 20 minutes to do a return. The last time I was there to pick up a box that got delivered so I didn't have to wait in line, but again, they took forever to get me my box (which I had already paid for). The manager was right there, too, and didn't even look up once to acknowledge me for waiting so long. She actually looked as if she hated her job so much. Everyone here needs to be trained in customer service, especially the manager. read more

I've shopped in Zara for many years (starting in the UK), the quality is pretty bad, but you can find some reasonable priced items that are pretty good on the face of it (men's skinny chino pants are $30 and look great/are v comfy - but the zip broke after 2 months)....... but the main issue if the way they run the store. Long lines, cashiers literally just walking off and leaving a line of 10 people standing and wondering who is going to serve them....... I had to return THREE times to return something as I had to keep giving up and leaving due to the length of time it takes. The sale associates here ( especially the girls ) are the worst. You never get any help in that store, they're cold since the time you walk in until you walk out. It's always messy in the store and when you finally find some stuffs to buy, the wait at the line could be so ridiculous. They also make return/exchange so difficult and complicated. You can only exchange the same clothes for a different size but not for a different item, no store credit, it'll just go back to your card! Seriously, it doesn't make any sense. The attitudes of the cashiers (same every single time) are awful. They act like they're wasting their times on you, doing you a favor or it makes you feel like you are bothering them. So rude and helpless. No greeting, no smile and not even looking at your eyes while talking. The girl today who processed my order was so terrible. My friend asked her to check if there's a large size for this one shirt and she just straight up told my friend "NO". When we asked her if there's anyway she could check before assuming no? She just told us system is down. They refuse to even exchange for the same jeans or refund! The manager was incredibly rude and gave such a terrible attitude, and forwarded me to customer service which just played me off for days. I am very rarely experiencing such a nightmare in the stores, but my visit to Zara at Tysons today was horrible. I needed to return 3 pieces of kids clothes that i ordered online. I spend an hour doing it!!!!!! Seriously??? When i walked in there were no customer, and one of the girl was behind register. Nobody said " hi" or anything. She kept writing something and talking to another girl on the opposite site of the store, like i was not there. In about 10 minutes she finally tool my stuff and started the return process. She was soooo slow. Then she could not figure out how to process a return. She called another girl, and then two of them can not figure it out. Then she called one more person, and now three of them was looking in the computer and trying to take my return. After an hour, they still messed it up. Processed the wrong items. I could not wait any longer, and left. They said they will fix the mistake without me. Sometimes i just wondering, is there a hiring requirements or anything at the stores? Seems like not. read more
