OMG DO NOT USE a credit card....I have been charged $37.44 every month for 3 months and haven't gotten a car wash for two of those months and only got a $13.00 car wash the first month. Forget about getting a response from Zappys . I have left numerouse VM's and NO response...just keep charging me every month. I will NEVER go to their car wash again.. and if you are smart you won't either. read more

Was in the middle of the wash when it stopped then it started to kick the car out then started up just in time to leave my car in covered in soap. then said they had to stop it because a sheriff car behind me that they had to pick up the wipe bar so his lights on top cleared. OK so why did I have to pull his teeth to have the soap washed off. When I did leave, the car still had soap running off it.. you get what you pay for not a very good rinse at all! Oh I have used them in the past and leaves soap all over your car still.. read more

Buyer Beware, Don't give them your credit card!! I got monthly wash and canceled it both in person and by phone, before the end of month. They still charged my credit card the next month. I have repeatedly tried to get a credit back (A Month and a Half Now). I have been told everything from we will take care of it to we will mail you a check and still nothing. read more

Forget these incompetents! You'll have salt and/or soap left in various spots on your car, which you need to clean off yourself. When they are busy, you will be subjected to the "soap Nazi," who decides who will get in and who will not! If you want detail work, be prepared to wait up to 4 hours (I kid you not). When you suggest they might need more staff, they are rude and dismissive. They are bullies--and that's not something we need more of. read more

I took my Jeep Compass through the Diamond wash today and was very disappointed I had to take it through twice because of dirty windshield and soap on the rear window also spots on the hood were not cleaned off I saw the add on tv and thought I would tryappys . never again. read more

Ruined the wiper on my rear window. Refused to cover it, citing disclaimer. If they disclaim wipers there must be a defect in their equipment. Very disappointed in their apathetic attitude. Will never use this business again. read more

Going to detail job done to be honest it was Really bad one are dirt still all over . Dust and glad was not done and waited for over 2 hours! Will never recommend or go back to them. For $60 they should do better!!! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Car dried and looked worse then when it dried. For 12 dollars I definitely expected more.

Had a detail in late spring early summer. It was horrible. Trunk not cleaned, half done vacuum job and the floor mats were terrible. Guy said he would redo it. Still was not that good when he touched it up. Called and left a message for the manager who returned my call. He tells me to call him next time I want to bring it in and he will have the car detailed free of charge. Great!!! So I called them about July 1, leave voicemail. No return call. 3 more calls in 3 weeks, no return call. I call their financial service people who own the autowash, no return call. Finally, today Aug. 18 I reach a guy at the financial group Zappitelli's, and he takes my name/info says he'll try to get in touch with Jesse the manager but doubts he can do anything since its been a few months. WOW. I've had details done here probably 10 times for 2 separate cars. NEVER EVER AGAIN. read more

My car had gone to car heaven and I was narrowing my dads car since he had been in the hospital. He was in for a very long stay so when he was ready to come home I took it for good cleaning couldn't let my dad see how dirty I got it. Maybe my opinion is a bit biased cuz I remember when I was a kid and the first thing zapatelies owned in mentor that I know of was a little convenience store "zaps" on rt. 84 and johnny cake rd the manager/ owner used to fallow me and my friend around like a fly on shit to make sure we weren't stealing from him and he was not very congenial AT ALL!! anyway I was going to do the car myself (I have car detailing experience) but I had no means of cleaning carpet and upholstery so I took it there and got the $60.00 package first I was told there would be a 4 1/2 hour wait so I left and came back in 3 1/2 and detail bays were empty they said it would be 1-1 1/2 hrs I was led to a comfortable waiting room with restrooms tv mags and a/c but it felt longer than 1 And 1/2 hrs finally got the car back they asked me to look it over and if I found anything wrong they would fix it even the next day I could bring it back I was tired gave it a quick look and said it was ok as I was driving I noticed the windows had ALOT of water spots and streaks they missed several spots on the dash and doors and cup holders were not done well at all and whatever they used to do the cleaning with had a somewhat strong scent that I personally did not care for they did wax and polish outside where there were some minor scratches I was hoping would come out but did not a professional detailer would have been able to do so but I realize these were only kids and not professionals and I did not pay the professional price. But the young man who was taking care of me was very nice and very polite the sign said $60.00 detail includes this this and this and when they rang me up I was charged exactly $60.00 and they did what they said they were going to do. For me the biggest disappointment was windshield and back window these are the 2 most gazed upon objects in car they should be a little more attentive to that however the said I could come back and they would fix it and I Chose NOT to do so but all in all the job was pretty decent for $60.00 and nowhere near what a professional would cost. So I'm satisfied with what I got but still don't like Mr. Zappetelli Sr. read more

I went and got my car detailed at the Wickliffe location back in September. I had removed all personal belongings from my car as directed; however I forgot to remove my snow brush, a fact that I hadn't realized until about a month later when I actually needed it. I called had asked to speak with a manager and was given a simple, "He's not here." I left my number, asking for a simple call back. Never received a call back, I continued to call over the course of a few weeks and eventually asked for an email. They either gave me a fake email address or decided to be cowardly and never respond. Regardless of this issue, the quality of the work was subpar, plus they wanted to charge me extra in addition to the $100 Groupon voucher I had already purchased. You're better off during the work yourself. read more

Went to the Willoughby one today. I put in 16 quarters for a $4 wash and it still said I needed to deposit 50 cents more. I did so and it only accepted 25 cents. I saw two people in the office so I got out of the car and explained that the machine too $4.50 and still needed another quarter for a $4 wash. The heavy set women immediately responds "you put the quarters in too fast". I took offense to this and told them both I actually did not. I waited for each quarter to fall to the bottom and then deposited the next. And I asked "how do you know I deposited them too fast? you didn't see me". The male stands up and say never mind I will help you get it to work so he gets change from his car and deposits it and low and behold it does the SAME THING for him. ironic is it not?? all the while he was still arguing with me!! Horrible people skills. He asked me in exasperation "what do you want me to do?". In my view, he and she (they are the owners I found out) should have said sorry lets help you and show me how to deposit the coins if they felt I was using the machine incorrectly. Once he realized he had the same problem, he should have apologized and said sorry for my wife rushing to judgment. The kicker, he never offered to give me back my 50 cent overpayment lol. Very rude from the start and had the audacity to continue arguing with me even After he realized I was correct. No integrity. No class. read more

I just got the $60 package for $45. Awesome job. My car looks brand new. Inside is immaculate. I would buy this again. I think people are frustrated because they don't realize you just have to go up there and leave the car and in most cases it's going to take a few hours. We tried calling as well and could never get through. read more

First things first, when I've had my car detailed at Zappy's they've done a great job. With that being said... I've been there twice and they say we can't get to your vehicle for 3 hours. The third time they said they were closing due to weather. The reason I drove 25 miles was because I knew I would be able to get in, because of how crappy the weather was!!! The first time I took my vehicle there the guy looked at me and said "I get off in an hour and was really hoping to leave early". I think part of the issue is that there r kids working here and no real supervision. I really do like the place I just can't believe that they are so easy to turn away customers. I don't live close but their prices are very good and they don't say anything about dog hair! All in all this place does great work, but if you can't get any of their services then what good are they? Also, don't bother trying to call they won't answer. I mentioned it one of the times they shooed me away and the guy says "we have been really busy" then why are you closing due to weather? Nothing but excuses. And there's my two cents! read more

Poor wash quality, many malfunctioning bays, vouchers not being accepted by payment/cash/credit machine. I have tried to use Zappy's for the convenience of their locations, however over the past few years the list of annoyances has grown too long. with a couple of nice days forcast recenty, I attempted to use the vouchers that my kids had bought me. The voucher was not accepted. When I contacted Zappy's customer service that is where the real disappointment came in. When I explained the various issues that I had dealt with lately, vouchers not reading, driers not functioning for deluxe wash, bays being down, a couple of yrs ago the unit sprayed my car down with hydraulic fluid... and that i was not sure if i was getting my moneys worth given the aggrevation. I was told that i had insulted him. He then stated that this was his last text. Yes, I could not speak to someone in person I was asked to text my concerns. Mind you I never used any derogatory or foul language at all. Apparently he just didn't care to hear an honest opinion from a customer who was just trying to get a simple car wash. Although prior to my "this is my final text" reply that I received, he did state that he would buy back my vouchers, well I am still waiting, it has been 5 business days, which is plenty of time to refund money through the mail if you actually cared to put it in the mail. It seems my only recourse now is to let others know how little Zappy's cares about customer satisfaction, even though it states clearly that customer satisfaction is guaranteed at the site in Painesville where this occurred. If a refund is not received in the next week a complaint to the better business bureau will be filed. Great business plan, very poor execution. Customer service absolutely terrible. I am pretty sure I am the one that should feel insulted. read more

i went to the zappy's on euclid in willowick, put in my $10 and got nothing. a sign on the wall says 100% satisfaction guaranteed with a phone number to call. i called and left a voice mail, got not return call for 2 days, called again and was told they would have to review the cameras and get back to me . no one returned a call so i called again and was told i would get coupons in the mail for free washes after the new year. so far nothing, don't go to this place there are plenty of other car washes that DO guarantee satisfaction read more

The worst car wash ever!!!! Not only did there car wash on Euclid Ave. in Willowick not clean my vehicle but it broke my rear windshield wiper arm. I texted the owner and was told it wasn't the car washes fault and his insurance wouldn't cover it. I will NEVER use there car washes or Beverage store or Accounting services based in Concord, Ohio. The Zappitelli's are a joke. WORST customer service EVER!!!!!! read more

If you value your auto - steer clear. I took my 2011 Cadillac there and they scratched it so bad it looked like it was washed with steel wool. They don't return your call - so its like - tough sh*t. I am on my way to a body shop now to see if the car can be rubbed out some how. If not, it will need a new paint job that my insurance will hopefully pay for and go after them for .. I should have gotten worried when I saw the filthy brown rinse water that left brown spots all over the car. read more

Every time I have come to have my car detailed, they tell me the wait will be anywhere from 1 to 3 hrs and i am the second car in line. I usually leave but today i refused. They kept telling me its going to be awhile and i said i don't care. I will wait inside. I saw them on their cell phones more than anything. Probably the reason why it would take so long. While i was in line paying i overheard one of the workers say we have another one in line and he mumbled something under his breath and said tell him a 3 hr wait. I knew that would make the customer leave and sure enough he did. Unfortunately, there is no other place close enough to where i live to take my car otherwise i would. read more

Me, and I think everybody in Lake County went in to get their car cleaned. First the positive--they had a detailing service that I decided to try since my car really needed wiping down and vacuuming. The guy who took my request was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The wait was reasonable and the employees were again very pleasant. The job done was satisfactory but not really worth the $30. My windows were smeared, I had dust bunnies on the dash, no air freshener was used (ok with me) and the back wasn't vacuumed. I generously gave them a $5 tip, which seemed to surprise them. After going through the wash, my car was very spotted. Looked like it was washed/rinsed with dirty water. What really angered me was when I realized the change was removed from my car. I guess they felt it was theirs...I think that is theft. When I called Zappy's to discuss (both there and the main number) they did not even bother to respond. I don't recommend doing business with them. read more

I love this place. Every time I go I get the $15 detail that comes with the car wash. They always do such a fabulous job and my car looks brand new when I leave there. I haven't had an issue with wait times like some of the reviewers mentioned, but it does say on their website if you want a more heavy-duty detail to make an appointment and that it could take a while. Like I said, I get the $15 one and it's amazing so I bet the more extensive ones are well worth the wait. read more

EXTREMELY HORRIBLE WASH at Willowick location!! Tried SEVERAL times and car was left with disgusting film and multiple spots are missed!!! COMPLETE waste of money!! I kept going cuz I figured I kept catchin it on a bad day! NOPE! It doesn't get any better!!! I tried ALL packages for the wash. They are all bad!!! read more

I take my wife's SUV to Zappy's every couple of weeks to get the full Diamond wash. I've had the front license plate bent and the frame broken and the wide angle aide view mirror ripped off in the past. Today, went in and the rear window wiper arm was ripped completely off. Went back and one of the employees retrieved it from the car wash. While he was looking for it, another employee approached me to let me know that I could fill out a report, but that they would do nothing about it. I have to replace the entire wiper arm. Went up the street to AutoZone to see if they had one in stock, the employee told me that people come in all the time to replace antennas, license plate brackets, wipers and mirrors that get ripped off at Zappy's in Chardon. I understand that they won't do anything about it and I'm sure that they'll understand losing my business, I'll never return and will let everyone I know of my experience. read more

Tried Zappy's for the first and it will be my last time. Came out of the was bay with soap still covering my car. I could have got back in the long line while the soap is drying on my car but that would not be good. They acted as though I was putting them out of their way and would not offer a refund even so I could go elsewhere to get the soap off. Lost any future business from me!! read more
