I was going for a $45 quick detailing. On their website they say they take walk-ins. When I arrived there was one car already being worked on in front of me and the service man said it'll be 2 to 3 hours and he would call me to come get the car. I went shopping I arrived back around 230. I sat there until 330 and then I went to check on the car it had not even been touched. I asked for a refund and was told I had to go to their office down the street. When I went there he was giving me a hard time that he was not going to be able to give me a refund that I would have to go somewhere else. Well I got my refund. And then he told me they don't recommend walkins because of this sort of thing. Why did they post it on their website that they do take walkins for a quick detailing? read more

Do Not use any of their services !!!! I REPEAT, do not use them at all. I went to their Chardon wash last Sunday and the wash broke original stock equipment on my truck, which was in perfect condition(less than 25,000 miles) before the wash. The attendant found the broken pieces next to one of the brushes. I filled out a report and waited 4 days for a call from them which I never received, so I called on the 5th day. The manager called ownership and they said that they are not responsible for any damage. he said the part must have been broken before the wash and made me feel like I was trying to cheat them. the manager said they wash thousands of cars and never have damage. He instructed me that I should have used the brushless option and the damage would not have happened. the $12 wash now cost me hundreds of dollars in time and repairs. They are con-artists. Went to mentor location: Friendly, affordable, professional! They did a great job on my tan cloth seats even though! They got out about 90% of stains with the steam clean. They take time on your car so you might need to drop it off! Otherwise, I was really happy with my clean plus the free exterior car wash that comes with the ultimate 60$ and super 45$ detailing. read more

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!!! Hmmmm dealing with the owners of this car wash entity has got to be the very WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had. In May of 2018, I purchased a beautiful and classic 1985 Lincoln Town Car that had been meticulously cared for and well preserved by the prior owner. Zappy's had a "Detail Special" listed on their website for $75, so I called their Willowick location and scheduled an appointment. I brought my car in as scheduled and was told the detail treatment would last about 1.5 hours. I ended up sitting there over 3 hours in a cramped and tiny office, before finally venturing a peek into the service bay to check on my car. Immediately, both young men jumped up from sitting on the floor and both had a frightened and tense look on their faces ... It was then that I noticed the drivers side power mirror dangling on its power cord and completely out of it's casement. I became understandably angry and asked them WHY they had broken this mirror. They both stood there (to my incredible disbelief) and LIED OUT OF THEIR ASSES saying that this mirror was broken when I arrived. I can attest unequivocally that THIS WAS NOT THE CASE!!!!!!!!! I was so angry and dumbfounded ... absolutely furious that this power heated mirror had SURVIVED and WORKED FLAWLESSLY for 33 years, that is until these two inept and careless employees broke it while rubbing the mirror glass too hard. In addition to these DAMAGES it appeared as if they had barely touched my vehicle with any cleaning rags or adequately vacuumed the inside. I pulled down both the drivers and passenger side vanity mirrors ... yep neither had been touched at all and were still dirty and smudged. I asked them to discount my detail job due to these damages and the poor job they did on actually cleaning the vehicle, they stood there and argued with me for over 20 minutes. Finally, the "acting manager" shaved off a paltry $20.00 for my troubles. I was then told to contact the owners of Zappy's at their Mentor office. There were no less than 8 separate phone calls placed to their corporate office at 9946 Johnnycake Ridge Road between May and early August ... not once did anybody return my URGENT PHONE CALLS as it related to these damages to my vehicle. Exasperated, I drove to the Mentor ave location, where I spoke with a seemingly understanding A.J. Zappitelli (One of the owners in this large family). A.J. assured me that their company carried insurance to cover these unfortunate instances because they "happen all of the time" (In his own words). I was instructed to visit his Father at their corporate offices located at 9946 Johnnycake Ridge Road, so I went over there and spoke with the elder Mr. Zappitelli. What I encountered was an immediately confrontational, unsympathetic and arrogant individual. He had the gall to tell me that he "didn't believe my claims because the alleged damages occurred in May" ... that's when I informed him of the 8 separate calls and voice messages I had left between May and August, none of which were ever addressed. He then handed me the business card of his cronie (attorney) and asked me to contact him regarding this matter of damages. I did so, but was also met with extreme suspicion and skepticism by this less than dignified lawyer. The lawyer asked me to PROVE THAT THE MIRROR WAS NOT BROKEN prior to taking it to Zappy's for the detail. Fortunately, I had snapped many photos when I purchased this car, so it was abundantly OBVIOUS and CRYSTAL CLEAR that the mirror in question WAS NOT BROKEN or in any disrepair PRIOR to my visit to their Willowick detail shop. I emailed no less than 12 photographs that clearly showed my mirror was in perfect and working condition. Next ... I was asked to visit a body shop to obtain an estimate for repair / replacement costs, which I did. I actually submitted 3 separate repair estimates from 3 different body shops, trying to be fair since it seemed as if they were leaning towards DOING THE RIGHT THING by paying to have my mirror fixed. A week later, I received a very cold and uncaring email from this lawyer indicating that my CLAIM FOR DAMAGES was being DENIED due to lack of substantiated proof that these TWO IDIOT EMPLOYEES actually caused the damages. I immediately phoned the corporate office and spoke with Mr. Zappitelli ... I chewed him a NEW ASS and as a result he called the Lake County Sheriff's Department to report me. LOL!! I still can't believe how egregious this whole matter is. It's easy to just tell somebody to F#@K OFF when the damages aren't to their own personal property. If the shoe was on the other foot and it was their property that was damaged, I am certain these "people" would go to the ends of the Earth to exact their revenge or obtain their due Justice. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED: IF YOU VALUE YOUR INVESTMENTS IN ANY OF YOUR AUTOMOBILES, YOU WILL NOT, I REPEAT ... I just left there after receiving what was supposed to be a car detailing. If I could post photos here I would. It was a horrible job!!! There were dark streaks on my windows and dark drops of something in my car that were not there before. Mats were half washed. Windows dirty. Bumper dirty. Visited Zappys auto wash in Chardon Ohio on June 18th at 1 pm. mentioned to the guys working that I couldn't get my antenna off my truck, they said it wasn't a problem and that they'd get it for me! They couldn't get it by hand so they got a wrench from the office and got it off. The young man didn't mention that he scratched a half circle into my brand new truck. As soon as I got out of the wash to put it back on I noticed the very prominent scratch and filled out an incident report and the man apologized. The company didn't call me or email me back so I went back up to the Chardon location and was told the manager jumps to different locations and to try the Concord office. I went there and was bombarded by many workers at a time! All I did was ask for Aj Zappitelli and explained why and I got kicked off the property and they threatened to call 911 on me said to have my attorney call theirs and more! I have been a customer and have had my taxes done there for over 5 years! They were so rude and didn't care at all to talk to me about what happened. My boyfriend called to talk to them about it and they laughed saying their guys don't take antenna off and I'm on my own with it. Worst experience and left crying with my three year old on my hip. Brought my car there to get detailed and it looked like they did nothing to it. I complained as I was picking it up and left it there again for them to fix and still it was dirty. I was promised a refund and never got it. They won't return phone calls. On top of that they hit a sign and caused a dent in my car that required body work. Their insurance company did take care of that part. I texted the phone number that they tell you to text for any problems at the wash, and I got a response that I was harassing them. Two bad car washes in a row. The first time, some greasy filmy spray ended up on my rear windshield and would not come off. The second time, small rocks or debris in the automatic scrubbers put serious "S" shaped scratches in my car paint. Zappy's is also a victim of Mentors terrible (or non existent) city planning. The intersection is always packed and the entrance to Zappys is frequently closed due to overcrowding. A cheap car was is not worth destroying the paint on your car, driving in circles to check for availability or waiting in line for 30+ minutes. I wish there were another automatic car was nearby, because I will NEVER go back to this one. read more

On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, after purchasing a groupon for $109, I called the Wickliffe location and was told that they couldn't take me until June 17 and to go to the Mentor location...the rest was not a good experience. When I arrived at the Mentor location, I was 'greeted' by 3 young men who INFORMED me that they do NOT ACCEPT groupons. Well, I guess that was 'news' to me since the person I spoke with in Wickliffe 'referred' me out there. After the '3 of them' CONCURRED that they were NOW ACCEPTING GROUPONS, they told me to pull in. Then the 'next' young man told me since I bought the 'top of the line' it would be 3 to 5 hours to which I responded, 'it's not that bad so make it 3' and we laughed! 2 1/2 hours later they called me and I went back. Upon returning, they older gentleman told me to 'check it out' to make SURE it was to my liking. I walked around my van and there was my umbrella sitting in the DIRTY WATER next to my car. I asked the NEXT young man if it was mine to which he responded 'I DON'T KNOW...I DIDN'T WORK ON IT'!!!...I say to him, if it has a certain insignia on it, than it's mine and IT DID...my umbrella was FILTHY. I then opened the drivers door and told the 'older man' that the mat was not clean. He took it out to 'reclean' it and then INFORMED me that I should have been cleaning it every 3 weeks during the winter. OK, I thought 'hmmmm'...I opened the side doors and the area under the door was still 'FILTHY' ...AND I MEAN FILTHY from the winter months...the young man cleaned it...I was then APPROACHED by YET ANOTHER YOUNG MAN who 'INFORMED ME' that they wrang up the WRONG service and now it's going to cost me ANOTHER $40!!!...IN ADDITION TO THE $109...I said 'WHY wasn't I INFORMED of this BEFORE you started working on my car? To which he replied, I DON'T KNOW!!!...I turned to him, INFORMED HIM I was NOT PAYING ANOTHER DIME and left.. To say the least, I was aggravated. After I got home and examined my vehicle, I took pictures. I have had my cars detailed before and NEVER have I had to 'tell them' what was WRONG. I have always been able to tell them THANK YOU FOR A JOB WELL DONE...this was not the case...I have to tell you I don't think I will EVER come back to the Mentor location again. We had gotten my dad a car detail here as a gift for Father's Day. Well...it was the absolute worst car detail I've ever seen. Trash still left in the car, exterior of the car was filthy. They basically gave him an $8 car wash and called it a "detail". On top of this, when my dad mentioned how he was not happy the staff was incredibly rude and refused to do anything about it. I called a few days later to speak to a manager and got no call back. I have since called your more times with no reply. This place is awful, don't waste your money here. They charge prices of how they want. I can with puke and dog hair in my car last year and was charged $45. I go today and was charged $65 and it had milk and dog hair. Over $2500 in damages to my car while using the Mentor Ave. car wash. Huge scrapes along the passenger side as well as damages to my tail light. Zappy's refused to pay to fix it. Three other cars also were damaged at the same time. Happened in September of 2019. Since then I have only used a touchless car wash up the street from them. read more

I am definitely one of those people who now that they have kids and work tons I have no extra time for anything. Zappys lets my car feel some love that it normally wouldn't even when its the basic $3.00 wash - yes you read that right a $3.00 option for when you just spent way too much on fruit snacks and "toast" so your kids could eat like a ward of Chuckie Cheese . Anyhoo the service at every Zappys I have been to is great from explaining the washes, presoak/spray debugger and just honestly laughing as I try to get my beast of an suv on the line (three kids at and under 3 with no minivan y'all). The washes are easy with no jerky movements or stops, bubbles that are multi colored and keeps kids oohh-ing and aaahhh-ing and at least 90 seconds of Mom can sip her iced coffee time. If you stop by their locations and buy prepaid wash cards you usually get a free one too - Thanks Zaps from her car. read more

*STAY AWAY* Last winter i took my chevy Silverado through their car wash and by the time i left my antenna and passenger MIRROR was ripped off due to one of their cloths snagging it. I still can't even believe how the wash ripped out the 3, 5/8 studs holding the mirror onto the door. Their $30 service I can get at Al Paul's any day for about $18, and I can get in and out of Al Paul's in less than 15 minutes. If you just want a very basic wash, this is better than the ones at the gas station, but if you want a nice wash, interior cleaned, windows washed (on the inside), door jambs washed, and floor mats washed, go elsewhere. It may be a hike to Al Paul's but it is worth it. read more

I tried to go here twice for a detail that I bought through Living Social. The first time I was told it will be a 3 hour wait and the second time I tried I was told it will be a 6 hour wait until they could even begin to clean my car. And they do not accept appointments for auto details which is absolutely insane for a service that takes 2 hours to complete. Like most Americans I work and cannot spend an entire day at the car wash as appealing as that may sound. I tried Zappy's detailing service for the first time today and unfortunately, I must give them an unsatisfactory grade. When I arrived, there was an open bay (of which there are 2) so I did not have to wait for them to start on my vehicle. I ordered the: $30 Full Service Deluxe * FullServiceBasicplus;DressDashboard,DoorsandConsole,BlowOut Interior with "Tornador". Cleaner and Deodorize Vehicle My car is 1 year old and I keep it clean, but wanted the glass done and dashboard/center console cleaned and "dressed" as the package I ordered indicates would be done. The car was done in about 45 minutes. The guy said "it came out ok". I call shenanigans. I didn't inspect until I got home but it barely looked touched! The first thing I noticed is that the rear view mirror wasn't touched - still spotted and smeared. The condition of the dash top was the most disappointing thing of all. It looked like it had been wiped down with a dry paper towel. It certainly was not touched with a drop of cleaner or protectant like armor all. There were fibers and dust left all over it as though they dry wiped it. I really would have appreciated that "dashboard dressing" I paid for, fellas. The glass also looked to have been wiped down haphazardly with a wet rag. No evidence of cleaning products used at all. There were still a couple crumbs on the passenger seat. Apparently that "tornador vacuum" had issues this day. The carpets were vacuumed adequately. Absolutely NO evidence of any type of cleaner or deodorizer had been used inside. If I owned this location (Mentor Ave, Mentor) I would be doing a little investigation into what the employees are doing and why they are not doing the job requested. I will NOT be using Zappy's detailing services again. It was a disappointment and a waste of my hard earned money. I tried Zappy's because it is so close to my home, but going forward, I will continue to have my vehicles detailed at the place I have gone to for years. They always do a meticulous job...EVERY TIME! I've been a regular customer since Zap's took over the wash. I have had minimal issues until today. I thought that I would be cordially welcomed back for a rewash. I have 3 cars that get regular washings at Zappy's. I got the $5 wash but after my car dried today I noticed white spots all over the sides and back. The spots were really white like road salt and my car is grey. The front, hood, and roof were very clean. I know I did not run through a puddle on the way back home because when I took my other car to get washed I noticed there were none and the road was completely dry - very dry and sunny on 1/1/15. On closer inspection the water drops were all streaming down from the top of the doors - you could plainly see the water drops streaking DOWNWARD. That makes sense because Zappy's did not pre-spray the sides for the $5 wash. I took it back only an hour later a little after 4pm after sitting in my garage and drying. ---THIS IS THE REASON I GIVE THEM A 1 STAR: It's not about the wash, the $5 for a crappy wash, but rather it's the attitude of the Zappy's employee in refusing to make it right. The Zappy's employee said that I should have hand -dried it. I said I never hand dry my cars from Zappy's, I never had this issue before this, and that I come here a lot (I had just brought my other car through). The Zappy's employee then told me that I could have driven it anywhere after leaving the wash. I told him to look at the water streaks going downward and then all over the back...and that anyone can see the roads are completely dry (as the sun was shining brightly)!. (now how could I get downward streaking water spots if I drove it...and if the roads were wet how could the front be completely clean? Anyone knows you get road spray coming UP from the wheels when you drive it). The Zappy's employee then said that I ONLY GOT A 5 WASH and once I leave the wash they are not responsible, then told me I can exit the parking lot. I said OK and that I would call the manager tomorrow....he said that's good and that the phone number is online!!! Wow! It was clear the Zappy's employee did not care about a dissatisfied customer and plainly let it show.....making 3 separate EXCUSES ABOUT NOT REWASHING. So does Zappy's have a strict policy that forbids making it right no matter what??? I wonder why this guy cared so much about NOT making it right....Hmmm. Further, the employee did not even ask to see my receipt so he clearly had no intention to rewash. And you should know that Zappy's does not give receipts if you pay cash. Zappy's quality: I have purchased interior detailing services before and wondered why I did so because of the very average quality. So I don't anymore. My advice: get the $3 wash and nothing more. That way you won't be disappointed. ZAPPY'S SHOULD REQUIRE & TEACH EMPLOYEES TO CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS BECAUSE CUSTOMERS KEEP THEM EMPLOYED!!! That would set them apart from mediocrity. Duh. Been trying to redeem the pre paid detailing I bought on line- unfortunately their website has very vague directions. The people working were very unhelpful and told us they couldn't help us--- then I tried to call their location and for 4 days it just went to voicemail and no one ever returned my call. When I called their corporate number I was treated horribly- they had no idea why I would be upset that no one returns their messages left on voicemail. Never an apology. Zero customer service. Was in the middle of the wash when it stopped then it started to kick the car out then started up just in time to leave my car in covered in soap. then said they had to stop it because a sheriff car behind me that they had to pick up the wipe bar so his lights on top cleared. OK so why did I have to pull his teeth to have the soap washed off. When I did leave, the car still had soap running off it.. you get what you pay for not a very good rinse at all! Then my husband tried three times to get his done each time being told that the wait would be three hours or more. I should"ve yelped before I came here. I went here today for $10 wash and came home disappointed like many did. All of the back window did not get touched at all and still dirty so i have to wipe it down by myself with a towel. What they should have was an outside working person who wipes wet windows and body, which i was experienced at any auto wash in California. This is about the same or worse than Giant Eagle $4 auto wash. I was thinking, "I shoud've gone to detail wash" but, after seeing this review, I don't think I waste my money to go back there. Went there to discuss getting the wife's car detailed and decided to get my car cleaned while there. I specifically wanted to get the bugs off my car as I just drove back from Boston. I made mention to the worker that I would like to have the bugs sprayed. I was told it was $2 more to get that done. I was not happy as I just paid $30 to get the inside vacuumed and wiped down. So i paid the $2 and went through the wash. I checked the windshield and bugs were still on there as well as the grill. Also, I fell on my ass as I got out my car, the concrete is slippery where people are stoping to dry there cars. I also noticed when I got home that half of my tires where shined. read more

BEWARE!!! Zappy's damaged my new truck and now REFUSES to pay for damages! Talked to the owner and he claims that since they have a sign denying liability they are exempt from any responsibility. Wouldn't even refund the $12 car wash. Their machines actually ripped the sheet metal on the side of my vehicle! If you care for your vehicle like I do, take it somewhere else. What can you expect for a $3 car wash! It cleans the car up well with no frills. The employees are always pretty nice and do what they have to do to get you through the wash. Some negatives: If you pay for a more expensive wash, they spray the car down but do a poorly inadequate job at it. They spray only the driver's side and the vehicle is already rolling into the wash when they do so, which results in a job that is less than thorough to say the least. I have bought the more expensive options and still come out with bugs other "stuff" on the vehicle. I would also say they could definitely use some improvement with the rinse cycle, my truck always seems to have soap left after the wash is over. It would also be nice to be able to pay a little more and get the truck dried. If you want the inside of your vehicle cleaned, you have to go to the "detail bays". This means if there are 2 vehicles ahead of you, there could be a very long wait. I'm not sure why the owners decided to remove the old vacuum system that enabled them to offer an interior option right before your car went through the wash, but it is sad they did. I will not wait more than 10 minutes for an interior clean, I could go elsewhere for the same service at a comparable price and get in & out fast. I have not used their detail services yet but I would have no issues doing so. I have had friends that did so and liked the service. I just think they should allow appointments for customer's and have a dedicated "fast lane" for just windows & vacuum. Overall, I recommend the place and I will still continue to go there it's cheap and close to home. read more

Forget these incompetents! You'll have salt and/or soap left in various spots on your car, which you need to clean off yourself. When they are busy, you will be subjected to the "soap Nazi," who decides who will get in and who will not! If you want detail work, be prepared to wait up to 4 hours (I kid you not).
