I guess I will be going back to waterway. I got a very basic car wash and unfortunately they don't offer a air freshener or a white with that one on the top tier. I can go to waterway and pay $45 and someone will vacuum out my car for me And if I come back in five days, they'll do it again for no charge. I gave clean express a chance and I did like it when they used to give me wipes or air freshener now it's just average. I'm waiting in a long line just to get very the most minimal Basic service. Terrible staff, faulty and broken wash equipment in the tunnel, racist management. A few of the younger employees there smoke weed while at work all day long, two of them are selling weed out the carwash I believe their names are, Derrick Terrell, and Christian Ray. Both are constantly serving up drugs to customers while working. If you are a cute girl you can definitely get your car washed for free, as those same young men are constantly giving away free carwashes to pretty young women. Daily. The site manager Ken Deavers is completely checked out. As he is aware of all of this. He does nothing for his staff, other than enable their unproffesional behaviors. And ignore the illegal activities going on. Cars are continually getting damaged, whilst going through the wash, it is an almost daily if not for sure a weekly occurrence. Most of which is caused by staff not caring when loading cars into the tunnel, and loading cars incorrectly. And known faulty wash equipment. Like I said, most of their quipment is broken and doesn't run correctly. Causing many unnecessary claims from incident reports that corparate ends up not paying the customer for said damages. Usually for some made up reason as to why the cliam is denied. The area regional manager (Dan Yannick) of this site is also known to have stolen Valor. He states he is an army veteran, from the gulf War, but in actuality he was Dishonorably Discharged while still completing basic training, for hitting his commanding officer. He never actually served. The one decent employee they had working there has either recently moved on to something better or they got rid of him for some reason. Which makes no sense as he was the main person working there that made it worthwhile in stopping by. Jim Roush, and Express Wash Concepts, which is the parent company, and the rest of the ownership of this carwash chain obviously do not really care about branding, staffing, or community. They are seemingly running what is going to be another failed OH corporate chain. Just like Winking Lizard, or Melt. Being a souless enterprise, thats very impersonal, with a major lack of community outreach, paired with terrible customer experiences and vehicles constantly being damaged is why you should choose another brand to wash with. Seargent Clean and Whistle Clean have both updated their facilities and equipment as well as pricing in the last year, to remain competitive in this market, both those brands have surpassed Clean Express Wash in regards to overall customer service experience and they have comparable if nor better pricing for both memberships and single washes. There is a reason why Clean cannot retain its good employees for longer than a year. And why so many members cancel their memberships after 1 month of inconsistent and crappy service. Don't waste time or money, choose to go to another carwash brand. Save yourself the headache, and extreme probability that you will end up with damage to your vehicle. read more

So I have mixed feelings about this location. I love the fact that it's close to home and the payment for unlimited washes are deducted from my account each month. However most days I'd rather drive to Solon or Eastlake. I don't understand why no one directs traffic when it's a busy day. There are 3 lanes here and once you get past the gate it's like a free for all. I wish they would wait a few seconds between each call too. Seems like I've been cleaning more soap off my vehicle lately because the was goes so fast there's not enough time to completely rinse it off and the car behind you is so close that you don't get enough time under the dryer. read more

The car washes here are great. They do a good job at getting winter crud off. What drags the rating down for me is that they take care of their monthly subscribers first, and anyone else can wait. Three lanes going in, last year they were two lanes serving both "pay by the wash" or "subscribers". This year, its two for subscribers, and one lane for everyone. Last year they had someone manning the pay machines. This year they have one guy manning all three lines, and he'll move through eight-ten subscribers for every pay by the wash. So unless you buy into their plan, and you get their after 9am, you are going to spend a lot of time in line while the subscribers lines move through. And the monthly subscribers will force and hog the big turn if someone isn't controlling the flow. guys, go back to being fair and moving the lines equally. And I'll boost my rating. But I am not going to reward you and pay you more unless you stop abusing the pay by the wash people. read more

It would be great if they get an app like Great Clips has that shows you the estimated wait time in the line. It is usually long, but maybe sometimes not. I often drive up to see, then don't get in line because it is too long and stressful getting involved with the triple-line zip merge after the gate. I would think that could be set up with a camara on the lines. Maybe just having the app with the camara would do it. read more

My regular place was closed unexpectedly which provided the perfect opportunity to give this new business a try. Initially I was worried about the layout of the whole setup being that it is on such a busy street. Well I went at peak time on a Saturday and the layout wasn't a problem. There are two ways to enter which consolidate into 3 lanes. They were extremely busy, but we made it through rather quickly. It was refreshing to see staff walking through the lines providing instruction to those who needed it. I was even given a complimentary air freshener. Nice touch. The wash itself was ok. I wish there was a power pre wash. I have a large SUV with spoiler and that is the only way the space underneath doesn't get missed. I will also caution if you have any added hardware or decals on your vehicle. I get a wash weekly, but whatever material is used here dislodged the adhesive on mine. The indoor free vacuums complete the experience. As long as you don't have any decals to worry about I say give them a shot. read more

We have been using the new car wash. We were able to upgrade for the monthly package unlimited wash club for a $1 more. Easy access as gate opens by reading the bar code on the windshield. Nice quick wash although I wish they power sprayed before you enter. Dryer was decent. Plenty of vacuum opportunities once you complete the wash. read more

So I decided to try this place again.. I did not take the offer up to get a free cleaning from the original post. I bought a brand new smaller vehicle. I took it through the car wash and got black marks all over the top my car and the car did not come out as clean as it is clean as I would hope. BRING A TOWEL. The staff members came out and they were very nice and apologetic. They tried to clean the black marks off for me however, here is the main reason why we went from 4 stars to 2. While cleaning with various products I noticed that they got a magic eraser and and bar keeper's friend. Both of these are very abrasive and even stated by the company not to use them I'm on anything painted. After all the black marks were taken care of they ran the vehicle back through the car wash. Though I was happy with their customer service I am very upset with the fact that you use such abrasives on the finish of my car. The black marks are now gone along with parts of the clear coat of my vehicle. Now I have to take my vehicle in to see if the dealership can hopefully rectify this problem. Additional review information: The manager of that site became verbally abusive when I made a follow up visit, thinking I still had time on my monthly subscription. I did not, but I reminded him that I was the one who was previously treated abusively by attendant. "I remember you...you gave us the finger from the main road", which was untrue. Why would he be watching the main road anyway after I left, if he had been busy doing his job? Contacted the main office again and was promised that I would hear back from the district manager. That never happened. Additionally, the person I spoke to has refused to respond to my subsequent emails. I can only guess that they don't care to maintain customers and have written me off. Please don't use the South Euclid location. The message is that you'd better accept abuse if you want to give them your business. There are too many other places to go for such menial service, when this is such an insignificant business compared to other types of services that a customer uses in his or her daily routine. read more

I appreciate your quick response that shows a good business. But to be fair my car wasn't that dirty and the wash didn't do much thank god I did bring my own towels and cleaning supplies. It would be great though if you had an area with people that dried your vehicle or did some light detail work as you had lots of people on staff just working the credit card machines. Wanted a quick wash. The vacuum system was not working and the wash overall was subpar. My front window panel had stains that never came off. I really wanted my rims cleaned as well. After checking, they were barely touched during the wash. In addition the drying towels were not even on, only the air blowers so my car was wet when I left. Not recommend this car wash. read more

I am a driver for lyft as is my wife. We both paid for monthly membership. They give a barcode to all the monthly subscribers that is automatically scanned at the gate and allows you to pass through the kiosk. Sometimes the barcode reader some times the reader wouldn't read the barcode off either my car or hers and the solution would be to reprint out a new barcode and slap it on. This would work except the cereal number they reprint would some how cancel my barcode or vice versa. They made it seem like we where running a scam on them somehow even with our receipts foe the membership. If not for the vacuums they have there I wouldn't go back. I just go in and pay the $12.00 every time instead of getting the membership. They have 4 to 6 people standing around not really doing anything. I was in the middle of paying my $12.00 when a employee came over and tried to take over pushing the payment buttons but I said to him that if wants to make himself useful you could grab a towel and polish my wheels after I go through. Went to this location while running errands. I chose the mid level wash and most of the process was satisfactory and the price was comparable to other local washes. However, when I got through the wash and rinse, there was little in the way of drying, looked like one machine at the end of the line and you had to turn right and keep moving or get rear ended by the car behind. After a U-turn there were a number of bays with people drying or vacuuming their own cars. Since I did not see anything on their web site about the lack of adequate dryers, I didn't have any towels so left to complete errands. At first stop I did a walk around and saw water spotted areas on both sides of my SUV and under the overhang above the rear window there was still soap suds and water that had never been adequately rinsed. Wound up having to take a damp cloth and towel to finish up many spotted areas. Never had this problem with other drive thru car washes. Would I go again? Maybe during warm weather and taking my own towels to complete the cleaning but not during freezing weather when the water left on the car will freeze. read more

I like this place I use it once a week, however I noticed that my friends car is losing its shine from going through the car wash weekly he drives a Black Mercedes Benz and it seems to not have the shine it once had. I get a weekly car wash and My concern is that my car will lose it shine and have a dull look. My experience is that after a period of time auto washes can impact the shine coat on vehicles. My other issue is that the rinse does not remove all the soap or wax, not sure what it is but when I dry my car off by the time I get home there is pink stuff-spots that I have on my car. One more thing I think can be improved is the inside vacuum use, there is to much standing water in the vacuum area, perhaps if there was drainage in these areas we would not have to step in sooo much water as we vacuum out our vehicles. The vacuum system you guys have are one of the BEST I have used. So overall for me it's the pink spots and the water puddles on the inside when I vacuum my car. They stole my money!! I signed up for 2 weeks free carwashes for a dollar when this place opened up. I was never told by the attendant that there would be a reoccurring charge to my card. I used the car wash 3 times in two weeks and was horrified to find scratches on my car. I filed a report in person and online. I was never contacted within a week as I was told I would be. Then two months later I get a call from them saying it wasn't their fault and nothing would be done. So imagine my anger and upset when I come to find out that they have been charging my card monthly for 36$ for carwashes. Well, after having no confidence in them after my car being messed up and no person to talk to just an automation when I call the store, I filed a report with my credit card company. They credited only half the charges because they said I noticed too late (I am a working mom, who works nights, has 3 kids under 5; I didn't notice this reoccurring charge for several months because at that point in my life I was just overwhelmed) . I scoured their site and found a corporate number to call because I had lost 252$ for my family. I spoke to people that wanted to help, but said they couldn't because I filed a claim with my credit card company, even though the credit card company sided in their favor. So now, not only did they scratch my car terribly and denied all culpability, but also admitted that I never used their car wash past the first week (I have a copy from them of my usage history proving this) but still were going to keep my money for nothing... I'm distraught and I hope you all can learn from my situation so it never happens to you . This company goes under many names for carwashes besides CLEAN EXPRESS AutoWash. Moo Moo Car Wash, Bee Clean Express Wash, and Flying Ace Express Wash. They are all the same company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! read more
