We arrived here at 7pm it wasn't too crowded and we found parking in the parking lot. We asked before hand if we could make reservations but they said it was first come first serve. When we sat down it was kind of annoying because the sun was in our eyes from the window. They offered to move our seats, but the other table also was in the sunlight. We ordered a chicken kebab as an appetizer and got the mix grilled plate as an entree and goat Karahi. The mix grill plate was huge and came with like 5 different types of meat dishes cooked various ways of chicken and lamb. My favorite thing from the grill platter was the green chicken and the red chicken. It comes with tomatoes, and red onions as well. The goat karahi was good too the sauce was very flavorful and went well with the garlic nann. We also got a mango lassi, we found out half way through our meal that they forgot it and when we got our bill they charged us for 2 so they gave us a cash refund. We usually get the Family Platter, but when we need a smaller portion for two, the mixed tikka bowl with a separate order of their amazing brown rice is the perfect choice. The mutton karahi is another must-try, packed with exceptional flavor. Both the plain and garlic naan are perfect. For drinks, the mint lime is refreshing and the chai is excellent. My friend introduced me to Zaoq 100 and I'm glad she did. The restaurant has friendly staff and they're very clean. They have their own parking lot with plenty of parking. It's easy to find off of Broadway if you are driving south. We ordered the chicken Karahi, garlic naan, pani puri, and the New York Strip. Out of these three dishes, the pani puri is my absolute favorite dish. It was full of flavor with a bit of kick from the spices. I highly recommend it. The chicken Karahi was good as well but it had a lot of oil in it. I'm not sure if I'll order it again. The garlic naan paired very nicely with the chicken Karahi. However, it was the food where things lacked. We had ordered 2 different types of karahi. One was chicken, and the other was Mutton (lamb). The Karahi honestly barely had meat for two individuals. It looked super nice when it came, but unfortunately, the meat on them was barely there. It was mostly fat or just bones. Usually, this is not like them. However, it was not such good luck this time. That's why I am giving it a 3* star since it's a hit and miss kind of dinner. Some days it's filled with meat and some days it's not. We also tried the Mojito, and it's just not how it used to be. The lack of mint leaves , the lack of flavor, and its just more water down. So this also helped lower the rating from 4* to 3* ... We would highly recommend the Naan. It's super soft and flavorful. We went as a family during midday around 4:30pm for an early dinner and it was pretty empty. The inside was nice and elegant with cushioned seating and the tables were nicely set. The food was 10/10 excellent. The taste was great and the kebabs were perfectly marinated and the flavors were all there! Loved every bite. We ordered a medium family platter with all types of chicken, lamb, and beef kebabs on a bed of rice and salad. It was delicious. We also ordered 2 ribeye steaks medium rare with French fries and mashed potatoes. The steaks were also very excellent and tender. The French fries were crispy and delicious as well. It did not miss. Loved it. However, I was told it's a Pakistani restaurant. Around the time we were leaving people started coming in and it was getting packed. So it seemed popular. We sat on a stool seating for 6 and it felt a bit sight and squishy but we managed. The service was good, although we had to get their attention to refill the water. This is my second time at Zaoq and I didn't think it was possible but the food was better than the first. We ordered the Porterhouse steak, bihari kebab, and the mutton Karahi. The bihari was the best I've had in a very long time. Watch out for how spicy it is. The porterhouse wasn't anywhere as fatty as the ribeye we had last time. Went there for Mother's Day for the buffet and multiple people in our group got food poisoning after eating there. I imagine other people got sick from the buffet as well and haven't reported yet. The setup for Mother's Day was crowded and hard to navigate with all the tables as well. Never coming back here. I came here with my family and honestly I do not understand the 5 star reviews. It wasn't anything near what I expected. It looked really big in photos but the dining area was much smaller. The food portions were incredibly small. We paid more than $100 for only a few dishes. The butter chicken was so sweet and tasted weird and the naans weren't that great. The only thing we actually liked was the Hum Tum mixed platter. But I wouldn't come here ever again. The price wasn't worth it. Also the bathrooms were so disgusting and messy. Visited Zaoq 100 for the first time earlier today for my parents anniversary and I was blown away by their desi cuisine. Just for the record folks this place is 100% Zabiha halal so for all my brothers and sisters that are skeptical about their menu, no need to be worried. We started our journey by ordering their samosa chaat. 2 massive potato stuffed fritters with yogurt sauce, onions, masala and crispy onions topped with their savory tamarind sauce. Definitely a thumbs up from me! Next we ordered their chicken karahi at a medium spice level. One thing about Zaoq is that they are very generous with their ingredients. The flavors of the curry and chicken worked so perfectly together my mouth was in heaven! Folks the best way to fully enjoy your curries and karahis is by ordering their butter naans! Especially their sesame naan, baked to perfection! Yum! Then came our MAIN DISH! The grilled platter for 4 people, more like 10 people ! Grilled malai chicken boti, tandoori chicken boti, lamb boti, chicken seekh kebab, andddd tandoori chili chicken boti. With a volcano shaped rice tower! I am a man with a serious appetite and especially when it comes to variety ? Forget about it! But this letter for 4 definitely hit the spot with the savory, flam grilled kebabs! The family platter is a good deal. For $35 for 2 people, it comes with rice, plentiful of different chicken (and choice of red meat, either beef or lamb) and rice. Their meats are grilled and it was nice that it came with a side of salad. The yogurt and spicy cilantro mint sauce also accompanied it well. For Indian food, I find them a bit bland and the meat probably sat on the grill for some time, which caused the meat to be flakey in the inside. Ordered garlic naan and it was nice and crispy at the bottom and soft on top, could use more garlic. The service was good and attentive, always coming to check on us. The environment is so nice and modern, prefect for a date. I ended my meal with baklava cake gelato and it was like eating baklava and ice cream mixed together; can't tell it's gelato. read more

The tikkas came out like appetizers and the Kat a Kat karahi was delicious and came out with the naan. 4 garlic naan for 3 people was too much actually and probably would have been fine with 2-3 naan. Soft & fluffy garlic naan. Next door the gelato spot was great! Lots of fun flavors. Love supporting new halal restaurants and the ambiance is great the decor is lovely but it's missing something. I think the small portions for the high price was a little off putting (similar to Karahi Adda) but also no chai or lassi, and no vegetarian options or appetizers. Clean environment with limited seating but enough seating for small groups. We only tried their family platter and their naan. The chicken was juicy and not dry at all. The naan was soft and not hard. We also tried their gelatos and they have some unique flavors so that was surprising and had real gelato feel. Overall i would go back and try additional items on the menu. But the menu is fairly small which is great because that means they can focus on those items and perfect it. My first time ever in this restaurant and I had high hopes after all the hype it got. I called in advance and made a reservation for four. The restaurant is beautiful decorated. Giving the upscaled appearance now with this being said. The tables are very closely packed together give it a sardines in a can feeling. You can barely walk in between tables and literally need to push them side to side to get into your table. The lights are blaring and very bright which allows for no privacy. Not romantic at all and you can watch as other customers are staring you down. Menu: The menu is simple and very limited on what you can order for the steaks. Now traditionally with any restaurant that is making you a steak it is always paired with a side of rice and some kind of vegetable. Warning : the price you pay is for the steak alone. You pay additional for your sides. You also have to pay for the sauce you want. I have never seen a restaurant charge for a condiment. Also there is a disclaimer that says any party of four or more people will be charged a 20% service fee. We were a party of four. And ordered the 4 rib eye steaks 3 mashed potatoes, 2 bacon asparagus, 2 side salads 3 cokes, 1 Diet Coke and 2 mango lassi. And 3 sauces. I asked for mushrooms sauce but was told they were out. Our waiter came back and said they didn't have bacon asparagus There was a mistake where a friend asked for a cup of ice and was brought brown rice. Which we laughed and said it's okay we will just take the rice. The steaks were cooked between medium rare - medium well. steaks were wonderfully cooked and tasted delicious! The side salad was a mixture of lettuce, tomato, corn, onions, cucumber and I think something pickled. It comes with some kind of sauce. They don't have any salad dressing so you're stuck with what they give or no dressing at all. The taste wasn't anything special. It wasn't bad but also wasn't wow. It was just okay. The mashed potatoes were a bit runny and also didn't taste anything special it was served in a 4oz sauce bowl ( that 4oz sauce bowl is $5). The $2 sauce is service in a larger portion than the side. It was unfortunate that there was a hair found in 1 of the steaks and instead of our waiter being professional and just apologizing and offering a refund or offering another steak or even reducing the price. We were given multiple visits of this hair cannot be from our kitchen, we wear hair nets. I want to see the hair, what color is the hair etc. It was honestly disgusting to see such poor service. Eventually my friend got another steak but it left such a bad impression. We were charged $ 289.32 I hadn't realized that they charged me for a sauce I never ordered. As they didn't have the mushroom sauce and they also did not take off the bacon asparagus. So I was over charged $10.45 ( $6 for the bacon asparagus + $2 extra sauce + service fee + tax) I also have a thing about restaurant and how they keep their bathrooms. This being a new halal restaurant I would expect a clean bathroom. The bathroom door was broken and somehow I got it to close. The door was falling off of its hinges. The bathroom was not kept, dirty and wet. In summary the restaurant appears to be up scaled but in all honesty it comes off as cheap and stingy. The food does taste good, but with the over all poor experience and over charge. I can't help but feel disappointed and honestly could have been handled better. read more

The ambiance and decor of the place is great and it what you're paying for. We had the shank karahi and the small HUM TUM platter for 2. The Platter was a bunch of chicken kababs and one red meat selection. It was average and so was the rice. The shank karahi was something I was looking forward to since it was different.
