This place was good when they 1st opened. The quality and quantity as gone down the hill. We usually get the chicken tarna plates or the chicken tarna wraps . Before the plate had so much chicken and rice that there was always leftover for the next day. Now you be lucky if you get full of it. When you charge $20 for a plate. As for the wrap It's been numerous times that we have received it and it's full of fat in it. When we called then to tell them that. They couldn't even apologize . Haven't been here in a while. The service is great cashier was on point. Always clean inside and my order was ready in 5 mins. My chicken tarna bowl had maybe four small pieces of chicken and my husband's tri tip shawarma wrap was almost entirely pita and diced tomatoes. The food is actually good. I gave this review a 1 star to draw attention to what I am about to say. I sent corporate contact 3 emails without a response, so I am doing this review. We ate at this location on July 15th. It was a very hot and humid day. When we went to order their kitchen area was like an extremely hot sauna and we saw one cook wearing a hat. When I say hot I mean hot. The other 5 or 6 or empoyees had no head covering. A couple of the people which we could actualy see were wiping their sweaty forehead on their shirt sleeves. Who knows what was going on where we couldn't see. My thought was they might be sweating in the food so I immediately lost my appetite. I will not be going back until after the hot summer months. I don't know why I expected the world from Zankou's chicken kebab plate. Should have curbed my enthusiasm. Maybe because the double skewer plate cost over $22 and if you add 2 more bucks, you can get that chicken plate at almost any premium Mediterranean restaurant in the valley. The chicken wasn't tender at all and the chicken marinade was kinda weak... not a lot of flavor. The spot ambiance is grab and go with some tables and the service was alright, with college kids attending to you the way college kids would. Maybe their shawarma is much better, but the chicken kabob was a disappointment. I LOVE Zankou, but unfortunately not this location. To start, there was an issue ordering on their website via toast and it kind of just froze. I wasn't sure if my order went through or not because I didn't get a confirmation email. I had to call to check to see if my order went through and it did! If I had tried again on the website, I would have double ordered and wouldn't have even known. I got a chicken kabob plate like I usually do, but the chicken was so overcooked and much more salty than I'm used to at the usual Zankou location. The chicken was dry and more charred than usual. I also didn't really like how much olive oil they put on the hummus. It tasted more like olive oil than hummus. At the other location it's usually not the case. The pickled veggies were still good and I enjoyed the tahini salad! They also forgot to include the 2 garlics I selected when I ordered online. If you are a garlic fan, make sure they put it in your bag before you leave! read more

You could never make me hate this place it's so good. I feel like every location I've ever been to has been amazing. The service was great. The menu was a little confusing for me at first, but thank God the gentleman taking my order explained everything. Their garlic cream sauce (or whatever they call it) is a staple for that restaurant, and the pita is actually really good. I usually get an extra slice of pita with a quarter chicken. This is a very busy location and it's in a really busy shopping mall in Chatsworth. Even though I ordered at the counter, my food came out way faster than I thought it would, especially considering how many orders they had going out on a Friday night delivery, pickup, all of it. I've been coming to this location regularly for a few months now about once a week. The chicken is always perfect, exactly what I expect from Zankou. I like my wings crispy! But today i was really impressed with one of the young lady employees, Dalay. A gentleman with possible mental disabilities was upset and complaining that the turnips were spicy. I had them and they definitely weren't. But Dalay handled the situation perfectly by offering to replace his turnips. The man was upset and made some remark about how spicy food is not for his culture. Dalay remained calm and offered to help. He refused and eventually calmed down and left.
