    Chicken fajita plate

We stopped by this restaurant while exploring Vashon. It was WONDERFUL! You order at the front/pay initially and sit down on your own. They have water, utensils, napkins already on the tables. The food was fresh, delicious, and filling. I ordered vegetarian tacos with guacamole. My parents ordered the fajita plates with chicken which they loved. 10/10 recommend.

Love the branding of the comfy chairs!

Quite simply some of the best authentic Mexican food I've had in quite a while. Portion size is generous. Everything was served piping hot. Excellent homemade salsa. The guacamole was fantastic also. We've been back a couple times in less than a week. Service is good too. Love this place!

I've been here two times, had dishes based on two positive reviews and things I love: fajitas, and tacos. Last time I had the fajitas and not only was I completely unimpressed with the flavor, it took 30-40 minutes to get my food. It was a little busy but still, this is a small place. I was apologized to, to be fair. Tonight I got the shrimp tacos and MAN were they amazing. Came a little early in case there was a wait, got my food in 15 minutes and yes it was less busy, too. But damn. Some of the best, most savory and juicy tacos I've ever had.

This Mexican food is the real deal. Exceptional carne asada, skirt steak that was pounded to perfection, still juicy, and so flavorful. And look at this photo of their shrimp tacos! We lived in Texas for decades and had some great Mexican food. This gem of a restaurant on Vashon Island should not be missed.

Food was so good I didn't have time to take a picture I scraped and licked this plate clean Definitely a must when visiting Seattle Prices are good for the quality and the service was very acceptional And was accommodated with my service dog 5/5 10/10 Must visit

Three of the four tacos (I was really hungry and forgot to take a pic before I started eating).

Zamorana is a casual, authentic Mexican restaurant where you can expect real Mexican food and not Tex-Mex or some version of Americanized Mexican. On the day we ate lunch there, the chef was cooking carnitas in a huge pot, manning the griddle as well as running the place taking orders and being a very friendly individual. He happily greeted me, in Spanish, and told me all about the food. The four tacos come in small, street-taco sized tortillas--two per taco-- and heaped with chicken, onions, cilantro, and guacamole. The salsa that came with the totopos (chips) seemed home-made and had just enough spice to make it lively but not overwhelming. This is a great spot for an inexpensive meal. Highly recommend a visit.

This very well might be my new favorite Mexican place. We both got the vegetarian borito and it was amazing: vegetables grilled perfectly, a nice helping of good guacamole, the crust browned to a crisp, and the sauces that worked perfectly together. It is messy but in the best way. We also got some chips and salsa which were super well done as well. The salsa felt fresh with just the right amount of kick and they even gave me an extra when we ran out. Hot sauces of all different kinds (including chalula) are all around so you can really get a good sampling of what you want. Also the prices were good. The vegetarian Borito was around $13. The service was super friendly as well and the food was pretty fast for what you get. While the ambiance wasn't anything special, I don't think it needs to be and with the meal as good as it was, I would have eaten it out in the cold if it came to it. Great place that you need to check out while your in vashion.

The lengua tacos with guacamole are one of my favorite foods. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The food is consistently good.

The cocktails all seem to be named after nautical terms, likely a nod to their island locale. I got the Buoy, which was a tequila-based cocktail with blackberry, Campari, and rosemary. It was quite refreshing. We split the smoked salmon chips and dip, because we both love smoked salmon and Old Bay. This was tasty, but I think a cream cheese dip requires a chip that's sturdier than a potato chip. I ordered the seared ahi and my spouse ordered the burger. We both enjoyed the seared ahi, though I wish it had more of the whipped tahini and harissa. We agreed that the burger was solid, but not the best restaurant burger we've had. We finished with the key lime pie and pot de crème. Recommend both (though maybe avoid the pot de crème if you don't like coffee)!

Maybe that should have been my queue to find a different spot. We were seated quickly, and ordered the French toast. For $22 I expected to be blown away and have it be the most amazing plate of French toast I've ever eaten. What I was served was a plate of BURNED toast, a few blueberries and some sliced strawberries. There wasn't any whip cream, nothing special but can we go back to how it was burned. Like black. Not carmelized burned. (You can see how black it is in the pics. Do better. No one else was there) Our served came over gave us our bill so we could pay and never did ask how our meal was. Probably because she knew it was bad. I paid. I'll never go back and I caution anyone else that's in the area.

Guacamole was so fresh, perfectly seasoned, and it took serious self-control not to just hoover it in minutes. Salsa was also fresh and delish, not too spicy, and complimented the chips and guac nicely. The taquitos were another hit, filled with a decent amount of tender shredded pork and topped with all the right stuff, perfectly crispy but not at all dry. Amazing! The tlayuda was a completely new to us dish, but after seeing a post about it, we had to try. Great for sharing, super unique flavor, spicy and smoky sauce, very filling! The highlight for us, though, without question was the Coloradito mole enchiladas with chicken. Holy Oaxaca!!! I could eat these every week and be the happiest woman alive! I have eaten a lot of mole in my life, but never anything like this. We literally stopped our conversation mid-sentence several times to pause, savor another bite, and then talk about the party happening in our mouths. I don't know what sorcery was in that sauce, but I'm a convert for real. The fact that I live less than 5 min from this magic shop is either going to be a blessing or a curse...man, do I want those enchiladas in my pie hole again! Soooooo good! And the sweetest staff!
