This was a horrible experience with my family.They were ignorant , nasty & rude. We could not believe our own people were acting like this. First, we walk in & nobody greeted us. We asked the employees if we could sit down to eat & they ignored us. I asked the cashier if we had to order in front or if they would take our order, she replied with a nasty attitude & remark, said no you need to order up here. As we get our food, we ask for limes and they immediately say they do not have any. As i can clearly see they had a BUCKET of limes In their fridge. The ambiance did not feel welcoming at all, they were all rude. We pointed out to them how there where limes in the fridge & took it as a joke as she tried playing it off. & yes we left our trays on the table because the least they could do is clean up after having horrible customer service! & keep in mind my LITTLE BROTHER found hair in his tacos. We called ahead for drive-thru pick-up today and or huge order was ready on time, hot, delicious, and absolutely perfect. The vegetarian taco on corn tortillas were incredible. My family also loved the chile relleno tacos, potato taco, steak tacos, beans, rice, and guacamole. The price was super reasonable. The quality of steak is some of the best around but the tacos hardly had any steak in them. This place used to be one of the best around. Wife was insisting in trying this location since we were in that side of the town so I gave it a try normally we order from the one by our house which is 6212 Cermak Rd In Berwyn never disappoints!, I pulled up to the window they asked for the name of my order and I told them the girl came back again to ask again and I told her again the name of my order , After 2 minutes someone else came and said "can I help you" I said they are already helping me , she replied no they are not can i help you! With a attitude I was confused why she asked for the order name again and I gave it to her the girl that originally attended me gave me the food and like in a aggressive way i don't know why they were mad or frustrated honestly didn't I speak Spanish and English so I was confused because I was talking to them in both in case they couldn't understand me kinda had a bad feeling already about the food , Got home asada was dry! This can be a good spot for chargrilled tacos. Lately, my tacos have been made wrong (missing ingredients). I called my order in and go inside and there are 4 cashiers but it took me 5 minutes to let them know my name to get my order, then another 5 minutes waiting on my order. We order food for all our employees, the store does not has any catering service so we have to order from the regular menu. We order 13 taco platters and 2 salads, but not a single lime or dressing for the salad. That is not good service or way to keep new customers. We will bring our business somewhere else. read more

Soooo disappointed! Had a lengua dinner and my husband had Torta . My lengua dinner was nasty. Taste like boiled lengua in water. I drowned it in red salsa "hot" which had no flavor taste like tomatillo. The steak head no flavor either. The beans taste like they were water down oh goodness what happened to this people. It used to be the place to go for tacos. Never again. No service, if you eat in you are on your own. Also took a look at the kitchen and it looked pretty dirty in there. This has to be one of the most inconsistent Mexican places I have ever seen you can come here one day and the steak is perfect seasoned properly flame grilled tender . The next day dry chewy meat . Ordered a steak burrito extra meat with sour cream beans cheese only . 899 for burrito 300 for extra meat 100 for sour cream 1400 burrito with tax . Burrito was small for 1400 they should have included a ten dollar bill on the side serving this crap. Cold chewy meat not chopped up enough no sour cream and ice cold beans if there was cheese on burrito I didn't see it or taste it . Wasted 1400 expect a lot more out of this place if it boasts it's the best . Surely not the case tonight . read more

Zacatacos is no frills, but it doesn't skimp on quality. I've driven by here a bunch of times over the years and I finally got the chance to try it when I just wasn't in the mood to cook my own dinner. We ordered at the register, then sat down. We shared the largest size of the horchata, which is actually 32 oz. This thing was huge and it had just the taste of horchata that I love. They claim to use natural ingredients in the menu, which I can believe by the great taste. There are a bunch of different horchata sizes already poured into the cups in the refrigerator, so my guess is this is a very popular item to be ordered from Zacatacos (and with good reason). I got the burrito al pastor, which was huge (believe me, I finished it); I really got my money's worth. We also shared a huge serving of guac with chips, which was a deal for only $4. That's probably the most guac for the best price I've ever seen. For example, it costs maybe twice as much for half the amount of guac at Big Star. Clearly there's no need for that nonsense when I can get guac that's twice as good at a local place like Zacatacos. Make no mistake. This five stars is way different than a five stars I may give to outstanding places like BOKA. It's five stars for being the best at what it is: a cheap, hole-in-the-wall Mexican place in the suburbs. read more

Best tasting tacos and even though they are so expensive I still like to buy tacos from here. But the taco is always robbed of a good amount of meat on most days. Getting really annoying as this is why my husband doesn't like to buy from here anymore I always tell him I want tacos from this place.Just wish they wouldn't skimp out on what you pay for. I hope Zacatecos owners realize this and stops this as it no longer makes sense to buy such expensive tacos from here when I can get fuller and similar tacos elsewhere. This used to be my favorite place until tonight. I drove all the way from Hydepark for these tacos!!! I get home excited to eat them with my girl when she starts vomiting because there was a long black hair rolled into her tongue. We had to end up throwing all the tacos in the garbage because we had asco (nausea). Thinking back to when my girl picked up the tacos there was a female worker with long black hair wearing a baseball cap on but she kept swinging her ponytail as she walked around and cashed people out at the register I can't stop thinking that's how the hair ended up in the taco since the kitchen is right behind the register. Honestly, Don't waste your time and money going here there are better Mexican restaurants out there. This location is small and dirty. The woman that took my order was rude and seemed like she's unhappy with her job. I mean who likes rude? no one! Especially when all you want is food. I had the enchiladas de pollo and they were so greasy & the plating was beyond sloppy. As you wait for your food you have a front row seat to the cooks. You can see everything as they're cooking, let me tell you I was beyond annoyed by how they were sloppy with the food. When I got to my car I opened the enchilda plate and they were all over the place mixed with the frijoles and rice. I've been to other Zacatacos but I was disappointed with the food at this location. Ordered steak and al pastor tacos, which I was excited for. Once I started eating, I noticed the tacos were VERY salty. Not sure if this restaurant uses a different seasoning technique but compared to the other locations, I don't recall this amount of salt. Also, the portions of the meat seemed small and more chopped. I guess I walked in expecting the flavors and larger portions of the original restaurant. Service was average.
