Nice neighborhood restaurant. Clean and nicely updated. I enjoyed a 2 steak taco dinner with rice and beans. As well as a medium horchata , $16.32. Maybe a few more dollars than I expected, but good food. Nice salsas, the red salsa had spice but manageable. Plenty of tables and booths inside for dine in. The service was fast and polite. Hace un momento tuve el peor servicio en este lugar. Quiero recalcar que mi familia y yo somos clientes frecuentes y generalmente no soy de poner reviews quejandome de los lugares que frecuento pero siento que merecen esta mala reseña. Llamé para poner una orden y la persona que atendió simplemente se le hizo fácil colgarme, pero no le tomé importancia y volví a intentar porque pensé que talves se fue la señal o algo por el estilo. Pues llamé nuevamente, y la dama que tomó mi llamada me respondió con muy mala actitud, entiendo que talves puedan estar ocupados pero no es mi culpa y tampoco estoy llamando para pedir regalado, creo que todos merecemos una buena atención porque al final de cuentas gracias a los clientes su negocio existe. En fin, puse mi orden rápido para no retrasar (todavia yo siendo considerada) y le recalco muy bien "por favor quiero mis tacos sin cebolla", la señora como por altanería me puso extra cebolla, algo absurdamente malintencionado e incomible, no quise regresar porque sinceramente estaba demasiado molesta y no queria montarles una escena en el lugar, simplemente me tocó tirarlos porque soy alergica y no puedo comer cebolla, y todavía para terminarme de fastidiar, les pedi jugo de naranja natural porque a mi hijo le encanta y le han puesto todas las semillas, y de todas las veces que mi familia y yo hemos ido a comer allí, JAMAS le habian puesto semillas a nuestros jugos y es precisamente por eso que mis hijos les gustaban (obviamente como mamá uno siempre va donde sus hijos comen y disfrutan estar) Les daría la foto de la factura pero fue muy "astuta" la persona que hizo mi orden al no entregarmela, solamente tengo la copia del pago de tarjeta. Pensar que todavia le di propina en efectivo a una persona que no mecere ni siquiera trabajar en un lugar de servicio al cliente porque evidentente no valora lo que tiene, ademas de que pagué por algo que ni me comí. Really extensive menu, hole in the wall type of traditional Mexican place with pretty authentic food. The tacos were really well filled but a bit on the pricey side. Same thing with the burrito. Probably drove past this place a million times. Hours need to be adjusted. Says closed on Yelp but we are here! We are enjoying pozole on this chilly day. It's excellent. Recommended by friends so I had to try. I brought my family to eat after church. Very busy place which you know food is good. I had the chiles rellenos I highly recommend. The gorditas and sopes are good size, very filling and tasteful. The only thing was that at the time to pay the cashier gives me my total. Then somehow had to reenter my order and it goes up $8.00. I question it and she tells me that 5 people or more they charge the tip. Which shouldn't be charged! I told her to put it up on the wall to inform customers at the time to pay. People will be charged tip and still leave a tip on the table. read more

Stopped here for a quick bite before an event that required us to be well feed prior and we left very content. Place is very clean on the inside and service is quick and friendly. The carne asada was good quality meat and well seasoned. Only knock is they add a 4% charge if you pay with card. Would definitely recommend and return. read more

Looking for a local taco haunt with really excellent food? This is the place. We are regulars at their competitor just a block west of them, but finally decided to walk a few more meters to give this restaurant a try. It always looks like it is full of people so that was a good sign. I was not disappointed. First off the restaurant looks very clean and the service was on the spot. Although there is a lot of Spanish spoken I there, the server helped us in English. They have a very complete menu of antojitos and other things one expects in an American Mexican food restaurant, but also things that you look for if you grew up in a Mexican household. The food was delicious and served in good portions. I had a variety of tacos to gauge the seasonings relative to what I do at home (pardon my narcissism, but i like my own cooking). There was not a clunker in the bunch. I especially liked their chorizo tacos because they cooked it so perfectly. Too often chorizo tacos fail because the sausage is over cooked and dry, this was great. I recommend it to my son who is a super fan of their closest competitor and even he came away saying t was in many ways, better. 26th street is not always an easy place to find a parking spot, but it is worth the frustration because you will have a great meal. read more

I visited a friend a nd we ate a burrito which was bought from this place and I like it that is why I decided to visit the place. I think I've already been here long ago. The place is clean and the atmosphere is cozy. The staff is nice and friendly in the counter. I just wanted their burrito but they got a nice and many Mexican food option on their menu so I also ordered some tacos. There are only a few people inside including me but the food seems to take longer than I expected. I waited patiently for the food and everything is served with a nice portion. This place was nice, once upon a time.... now I've been ordering here for almost 20 years. And the last 5 times they messed up my order. Now I don't just spend 10 dollars. I'm spending 50. But this is last straw. I placed order, specifically telling the lady "NO TOMATO " 5 times I told her. She even repeated my order back to me. But when order was picked up, (now mind you I don't live close to this restaurant but it was my favorite) till now....I get home and my food is packed with tomatoes! And when I call to see if they can fix it. The lady was so rude soaking in Spanish saying derogatory things and then HANDS UP ON ME!!! tried calling back and no answer after 8 calls. I end up bringing food back to fix. And the owner was there. Usually he is kind and nice but not today. He was as rude as staff. He asked so what do you want. Money? I said no. Food!! Now bringing the food home. I ordered a torta dinner but I now ended up with a very very flat torta, rice and beans all over the place. I've been coming here since they opened. So instead the owner feels up on his female employees and cuddles them but with no reprimand. No longer will I come here and recommend Lalos from now on. Now that's authentic this place now sucks with rats running in back with the cooks assisting in preparation. Never again! NEVER NEVER AGAIN WILL I SPEND MY MONEY HERE EVER!!!
