    Carne Taco Asada dinner
    Michelle R.

It was my first time here and yes, it was Christmas evening. There were people eating there as well so it was likely a steady evening for them. I got the steak taco dinner and yes, it was plentiful,so I had leftovers. The steak was dry, like they have it sitting cooked on reserve and warm it on the grill per order. The rices and beans were lukewarm if that. Nothing wants to bring me back. My husband can eat but he didn't finish his burrito because he tasted something bad on the other 1/2 of his burrito. I don't think I'll be back. I still have my favorite little spot on Cermak and Austin, but won't share the name. IYKYK I gave 3 stars because the server did great.

Real bad service the food was tasteless, two many items on the menu. Bathrooms were nasty at it was early in the morning.

Sandwiches were the single smashed cheesie and the tenderizer. Both were served hot and with the seasoned fries which were also very good. This is a nice place to stop in for a quick lunch - beers and food are reasonably priced. The toilet in the women's bathroom is loose - be careful. Cleanliness is pretty good, although they could hit the corners and baseboards a little bit better

Not to say it's fancy or anything, but it's a very good newer option for Archer Avenue, with lots of food and drink options. I imagine it's the same menu as the other Cheesie's locations. I got the Melt sandwich, it tasted on par with the food from the North side location. Service was pretty fast, and they have a good amount of seating options. Again, nothing crazy, but it's just good to see Garfield Ridge get a nicer option like this, as a lot of the bars just have drinks and no food, or are just food places. I have friends who live down here, so they often go out on Archer for bdays or events, so I'm glad to see this as a new option, and would definitely vote to stop here for any future events in the area.

Unplanned stop here but what a welcome surprise on a winter evening at this neighborhood pub that hits the sweet spot somewhere between "watering hole" and restaurant . Lively and cozy, "Livozy" (oh yes I did just coin that) is the best descriptor for this cool little pub right across from a commuter rail stop. Very decent selection on tap. The crowd is mostly local and very friendly. The tenders crushed it in terms of friendliness and efficient professionalism. Zubar has figured out that if you deliver a satisfying experience at very reasonable prices--good value, you will ensure return customers--again and again. (As an aside though, it is a bit of a shame Zubar has not "claimed" this Yelp page projecting the "we're too cool (they are) who cares" vibe but there's a lot of good vibe coming there way...I'll bet they peek anyway.)

Even those not going to the zoo can enjoy it. This is right off the Metra zoo stop, and I'm wondering how many times I can mention the zoo in this review, maybe 20 times or so. A convenient stop along the Metra gets you here. It's almost seriously there as soon as you get off. This is obviously located on the way to the Brookfield Zoo. It makes a pretty good stop when coming back from walking around. This is pretty much just a little bar with drinks and slots. It's about $5 for a simple cocktail. There's basic liquor. Good place to hang after walking around the zoo and needing to get a drink. It doesn't seem to have food anymore but you can bring some in. There's also entertainment like a jukebox and pool table.

As soon as we opened the door my friend and i were greeted by the very very DRUNK welcoming committee, which was nnnice, and just a little creepy. It was a Thursday night, with a crowd that consisted of divorced men, and single 30 something males....oOOo the pickings were ripe!! We had hopes of downing a Polish beer, to our surprise Halina, the Polish bar tender, and owner informed us that she didn't serve any-not gunna lie, i was let down...i settled for a cranberry vodka, $4.00, going rate. After mopping about not drinking a beer i started to notice how pleasant this place is, the lighting is perfect!! It's not dark and grim, or too bright like your in a grocery store or something, it was just soft bulbs that just left me with a comforting feeling lol. The decor is pretty much all off white, VERY VERY CLEAN, definitely above the title of a tavern!! After my second drink we got to talking with the regulars, we bitched and moaned about the "change" in the neighborhood, they told stories about what neighborhood they originally grew up in, it turned out to be a very informative night. The best part of the night was when Halina told me the next time I come in she'll have Polish beer just for me, haha and she told me to bring more "Young Blood" ps free wifi
