This was a great dinner! I loved the beat salad. It was very fresh and flavorful. I also loved the octopus. It was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The plate was filled with lots of flavors and came with mole sauce. I highly recommend. The chicken dish was very tasty, too. We sat outside on a beautiful night and received good service.

First time here for a friend's birthday dinner. Arrived around 7p, a reservation had been made and we were taken immediately. It had a nice atmosphere and the service was great. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. Ordered a few appetizers; ceviche, calamari and fish flautas . I only tried the calamari it was crispy and was good. A few drink favorites from the night were La toxica and old fashioned. There were 6 of us and 3 ordered the Fideo de mariscos which was enjoyed and got good reviews for flavor . 2 got the bistec alteno and I ordered the special of the night which el trompo, which was Al pastor served with charro beans , cilantro, onions , and salsa w tortillas. The meat was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Definitely enough to share , I brought home leftovers. A mariachi band showed up later in evening for entertainment which was fun, definitely would go back to try something new .

Family dinner decided on tacos...fish and shrimp tacos, balbacoa and asada with a side choice of cilantro rice or frijoles (beans) delicious. Place was very clean, great customer service and waitress was knowledgeable helping us with dish choice.

1st time here and enjoyed most of the dishes with my friend. This is a roomy restaurant with many seating tables. The service is good.

    So yummy!

Honestly I was so excited about trying this restaurant. It had been on my list for a long time, once I finally went it was truly disappointing. The drinks were weak, they looked very cute but lacked flavor. The lamb chops were good, but very small for the price. The guacamole lacked seasoning. It wasn't packed at the time I went however it was difficult to get our waitress to check up on us. The restaurant is cute, but very overpriced for the area and quality.

Me enjoying my cocktail on the back patio! (The watermelon jalapeño margarita).

Awesome as usual! Especially the patio - we love it! I forgot to take a picture of the chochinita pinil - also amazing and try to drink called La Tóxica for the first time. Delicious please please

Had a nice time here! Good music, vibes, and service. We ordered the Sopesitos (appetizer) and Barbacoa tacos (entre) with rice/beans. The best part were the drinks and the shot on the house we received! They knew how to make us happy. We ordered an old fashioned & peach tequila drink. Both incredible! The Old Fashioned had an orange peel engraved into the ice with smoke coming out of the glass, very creative. Toward the end of the night, they had a mariachi, which bought the energy up even higher! Not sure if it was for a party or normal for them to do. Personal review: 7.3

My first time here, came to celebrate my birthday and it wasn't what I expected at all. Small portions, very pricey but very tasty. Drinks were awesome! Our waitress was really nice, friendly and knowledgeable with the menu. The location was pretty, limited parking and more like a bar than a restaurant. Might give it a second chance!

    Mar y tierra Barbacoa

The first impression you get is wow. The place was really cute with the exposed brick and the neon signs and the fake ivy and plants all around. The servers are all wearing nice stripped shirts and the natural light this place has is really great. The silverware was like a rose gold and the cute starter plates contrasted very nicely. The service is great as soon as you walk in from the door. Our waiter was an older gentleman and was very welcoming and helpful. That's where all the good things end.... First of all, the food pricing was very concerning because it gives you very high expectations. You see the menu and you're like maybe this place is one of those pricey but yet life changing establishments. Not the case. Our bill was $122 for 2 main dishes, 1 appetizer, and 1 cocktail. We got the banderillas to start and were not blown away by this. The fries were very basic and not seasoned at all. McDonalds fries would have been better. The steak and shrimp skewers were a pain to eat because the food fused with the screwer. The steak was ok but I would have been nice to see more meat. I had 3 steak pieces and the smallest veggies. There was also only 2 shrimps on the other. For $18 I was expecting quantity or at least quality. Next up, my wife ordered the Mar y Tierra. The mashed potatoes were the star of the plate. The steak was asked to be medium well and we got extra well done. The top of her steak was dried out and hard. It was hard to see a fillet go to waste like that. The wild mushrooms were sautéed in oil and that's about it. The shrimps were tossed in a garlic butter and that's about it. For $50 my wife was not happy. She also ordered the house cocktail and thankfully she said it was good. I got the Barbacoa and regret it. The food was soo bland. The "green" rice was tasteless and kind of left your mouth dry. It was cooked all the way but very reheated vibes were given. The beans were soo sad. I'm Guatemalan and I know black beans and I can say these were the worst by far I've ever had. They were just mashed back beans. No garlic, onion or salt. It was offensive! The Barbacoa was served in a really nice Staub dish. It was garnished with red onion and day old cilantro. That's what it felt and tasted like. Once again the dish was under seasoned and disappointing. They were trying to go fine dinning and updated Mexican but what they served us today was sad, tasteless Mexi-cant. No bueno amigos!

The sausage had that nice grilled flavor, super juicy and then it was just piled with stuff, crispy fries, melted cheese, a mix of creamy sauces, and even pineapple. Every bite was amazing, salty, creamy, a little sweet, a little spicy. It definitely was a mess, but it was worth it. We didn't wait long, maybe 5 minutes after ordering, and the girl at the counter was friendly. The place was small but didn't feel cramped. There were so many great sounding things on the menu, with gluten free and vegetarian options.
